00:13in San Bernardino last week when they shared with them that Mr. Jose Guadalupe, a Mexican
00:20national, died at the Adelanto Processing Center operated by the GEO Group Corporation.
00:27At this point, the cause of death is yet to be determined, and our consular offices, both
00:32in Los Angeles and in San Bernardino, are actively following up on all the developments.
00:37The government of Mexico has requested urgent and exhaustive clarification regarding the
00:42circumstances of the case to determine responsibilities.
00:53Only at the Adelanto ICE Facility Processing Center in the county of San Bernardino, four
01:00Mexican nationals have died, apparently due to medical complications, highlighting a pattern
01:06of persistent structural deficiencies.
01:08The recurrence and frequency of these deaths are absolutely unacceptable.
01:15We consider that these deaths reveal systemic failures, operational deficiencies, and possible
01:20negligence counter to the United States' own protocols and regulations, as well as international
01:26human rights standards.
01:40The constitutional rights and the human rights are not for sale.
01:47So, following the instructions of the Mexican president, we're going to look into this.
01:54Because if the company is going to take the right of contract with the government for profit,
02:02for financial interest, then they must undertake as well the responsibilities that comes with
02:09it.
