24:04yeah we've got a decent amount of stuff okay I'd say it's a lot of kids we have so many

24:08can't even we don't even know yeah we've started to put some stuff in the garage that's set aside
24:12sort of like how can we tuck some of that away it's just like constant clutter we just need
24:18good storage space storage is is obviously a good thing we're doing all new cabinetry in the kitchen
24:23right we're looking at different options of what we can do and the idea of tucking a bank at into
24:28the corner is really cool well guess what that gives you room for a tall pantry cabinet with way
24:33more storage to help with clutter all while blending seamlessly into the overall design and
24:38to bring in some new light we can install a new window above the bankette the bench seating plays
24:43double duty with large drawer storage tucked underneath anywhere we can get extra cabinets
24:48would be great awesome let's utilize every square inch possible to that everything's nice and clean
24:53yeah cool you've got dead space under the stairs we can open that up put flooring in add some shelves
24:59of baskets to keep shoes organized and a door to keep things looking neat and tidy that sounds good
25:04we can also consult with a professional organizer to help sort and manage some of the chaos all right
25:09let's do it from an aesthetic standpoint keeping in mind that we're going to look at all durable
25:13products do you see anything here that jumps out to you i'm personally like a cleaner look so i i

25:54the walls like cabinet i wouldn't necessarily want a dark cabinet but i do like these kind of blues and
26:02greens all in a row not not heavy dark it's farmhouse coastal i don't did we make that up
26:08there can be farmhouses on the water because he's you know colorado farmhouse hawaii coastal we can
26:15put that in the design but i would say like we do love the beach so things that can kind
26:19of bring
26:20that that coastal natural wood town feel i mean we can also do real stone in the entry we can
26:26even do
26:26a terrazzo we can do you know a little of anything we'll pull it together and then we'll see which
26:31things actually work together okay and above all else storage yes yes yeah yes
26:55i don't know a single person alive who has ever not heard the saying
27:01storage is key you can't have enough storage we have a family of four they have a family of four
27:05i know how much a family of four needs for storage and as the kids get bigger the needs only

27:15just like a couple of adjustable shelves or something but uh we're in pretty good shape we've
27:20got the fireplace yeah ready so that all came off pretty good electrical's done i wonder if we

27:33there's any chance of a draft or anything coming down i would still insulate in this section as well
27:38just behind the drywall just a little bit of rigid well we got insulation so we could do that

27:51it's not often that we actually get rid of a fireplace without putting another one back
27:56so it'll just be a drywalled corner this is a smart use of this space that the way it was

28:01wasn't optimal and this just gives them so much better use for seating over here

28:13i know this has been a stressful process they've looked at a ton of houses they've lost out they had
28:17their hopes up and they were crushed so it's important for us to get them in there these guys

29:09that we could put a cabinet the one category is probably going to be pretty big is arts and crafts
29:14and that doesn't always look beautiful yeah so if we can have cabinetry just to contain paint and
29:19things like that yeah you know what because we don't really have when i'm thinking we don't want
29:22that in the pantry one idea to keep it aesthetically pleasing is to use an opaque woven basket to
29:28contain all of the toys it's functional and looks great for arts and crafts an acrylic turntable
29:34with separate compartments for paint brushes markers and crayons and it's clear so you can see what goes
29:40where and labeled jars for supplies so the kids know where stuff goes when you kindly ask them to
29:47clean up after themselves even as a grown-up i can't remember where everything's supposed to go but we
29:52have it all beautifully labeled and then every time we're refilling it's so easy yeah my job is to make
29:57sure that the system is flawless it can be maintained long after i'm gone and that the whole family can
30:02use it

30:20during the tours malia kept saying how she wants the entrance to have some sort of visual interest that
30:25just welcomes you in and drops the jaw and i think we can do that with this house i mean

39:22still been honestly coming to terms with the fact that we got here in the beach area that we've been
39:28wanting um and honestly now that we have a house here as well like it's it's pretty overwhelming oh no
39:41it's like south bay as we don't have our you know family here that's truly it's us it's us and

39:47and this is the start of just yeah our lives yeah and honestly i feel like i've had this like

39:57the pit of my stomach for you know 12 months now and it's just kind of like settled is honestly
