00:00It's almost just silly to even talk about, but I'm not worried about Bo Bichette in any way, shape, or
00:04form.
00:05Maybe the only long-term concern would be some of the stuff you're seeing at third base
00:10because he hasn't played there before offensively.
00:12I'm not going to worry about him.
00:14He will figure it out.
00:15But, you know, the thing that was just annoying to me, and I understand it was freezing cold on Saturday,
00:21and it wasn't that much better on Sunday, was some of the stuff we saw on opening day on Thursday,
00:27you know, all the offense taken of the pitches and the walks and the grinding,
00:31like all that went away on Saturday and Sunday, especially Sunday when they struck out a gazillion times.
00:35Well, it's just, like I said, it's early in the season.
00:38One game was one game after that game.
00:40We were all happy about it, but we've got a long way to go, man.
00:44And Bo Bichette's a really good player.
00:45And, by the way, you and I were together when Bo Bichette had that long at-bat in the first
00:52game against the Pirates.
00:53Yep.
00:53And, you know, he swung at a couple bad pitches.
00:55So what does that tell me?
00:56That tells me that he's trying too hard.
00:58Believe it or not, yes, professional baseball players can try too hard.
01:01And he's trying his ass off, and he's being overly aggressive, and the aggressiveness is hurting him.
01:09So, you know, he's got one hit.
01:12Yeah.
01:13He's got one hit, and how many strikeouts?
01:16Eight, right?
01:17Right.
01:18So he's off a little bit.
01:20Yeah, of course.
01:21Yeah, you know, and eventually he'll get it back going again.
01:24He's just too good of a player not to do that.
01:27And I'm sure he was squeezing the bat a little bit too hard this weekend and struggling and wanted to
01:32hit home runs, wanted to be the clutch guy.
01:34And unfortunately, it didn't happen for him.
01:36So I think everybody just needs to back off and not overreact.
