00:00So, Mr. President, what is the one leadership trait the world is missing right now?
00:07What is missing in leadership?
00:08Well, it's winning. You've got to win.
00:10You know, I've watched a lot of people, leaders, great leaders.
00:15And, you know, the one thing about sports is you break it down into, you know, a two-hour period,
00:20something nice.
00:21You don't have to wait a lifetime to find out if somebody is a winner or a loser.
00:24You've got a lot of losers, mostly losers, fortunately.
00:27It's a good thing to have a lot of losers.
00:28I always like to hang around with losers, actually, because it makes me feel better.
00:34I hate guys that are very, very successful, and you have to listen to their success stories.
00:39I like people that like to listen to my success.
00:43But I find, and I found this, and I'm only kidding.
00:47I want to say that, sort of.
00:50But I find that people that win, it's much easier to lead when you're successful and you win.
00:58And, you know, Vince Lombardi was a very tough person, a very tough football coach.
01:03He was sort of a violent guy, actually.
01:05I knew him.
01:06But he won, and he got away with things because he won.
01:09You know, I used to say, if you win, winning helps you to become a better leader.
01:15People follow you if you win.
01:17And not everybody can win.
01:19Some people win, and some people don't win.
01:21But when you win, it's a lot easier to lead.
