00:00Okay, so the purpose of this conversation is to talk about what's been happening within the group of women.

00:11Not to make comparisons between men and women and who does it better.

00:15This episode was really hard for me to review, it really was.

00:19I'm really saddened at the passing of Mel.

00:21I think as someone who's lost a loved one, anyone who's lost a loved one understands the process of grief

00:28and the pain you go through.

00:30So, I'm sending my love and prayers to your family.

00:34Anyway, hey there, thanks for stopping by to go, Valerie.

00:37Welcome back to my channel.

00:46In this episode, I'll be reviewing Married at First Sight, Australia, Season 13, Episode 32.

00:52Okay, so we start off with a tribute for Mel.

00:55I understand she had colon cancer, which is really sad.

00:59And so, there is a memorial bit for her that the show has put together.

01:03I have tried to use a bit of the clip that I thought wouldn't be as distressing at the front

01:07of my review.

01:09So, we have all the couples come back from homestays.

01:12Obviously, Stella and Philip are in the best of spaces because they went to a homestay.

01:17Her friends were more well-behaved than they were during the wedding,

01:20which I think allowed Philip to feel at ease and feel more comfortable in her home, which was good.

01:27Rachel and Steve, they went to Stephen's place, obviously, met up with his mom and his brother,

01:33and they all approve of Rachel.

01:35So, Stephen, I think this has given him sort of the fuel he needed to continue to fight for his

01:40marriage and see if it can work.

01:41I think he needs to do everything within his power to sort of make this relationship work

01:46because I doubt he'll ever be able to come across another lady that's as accommodating as Rachel.

01:52Gia and Scott.

01:53Gia and Scott, obviously, there's still the issue that they clashed at his homestay.

01:57She was hypercritical of everything.

01:59She didn't like the wardrobe.

02:00She didn't like the neck pillow.

02:01She didn't like this.

02:02She thought the house was dirty.

02:03She thought this, that.

02:04And she found fault with anything that she could so that, you know, she wouldn't fall in love with his

02:09place.

02:10And then there was the question of, you know, are you on the path to love or have you fallen

02:15in love?

02:15And Scott, I think, is trying to protect his heart because he's saying he doesn't.

02:18He can't say that.

02:20He can't guarantee her that.

02:21So he's not going to sort of give false hope where there's no need to give false hope.

02:25He's just going to let the chips fall where they may lie.

02:28And so that's not enough for Gia.

02:30I think Gia, because everybody else is saying I love you, she expects her husband to do the same.

02:35Danny and Beck are back.

02:37Danny and Beck are a rollercoaster that I don't think anyone is ever prepared for because now they're saying, you

02:42know, obviously there's a conversation about Beck being upset at the joke that Danny made.

02:48And suddenly they've moved on there in this happy space.

02:50It was a small little fight.

02:51And, you know, they were able to get through it.

02:54They're now pretending like nothing went wrong.

02:55And it's like this marriage is not healthy for anyone, let alone the two people in it.

03:00So I don't understand why we continue on this rollercoaster.

03:04We have Sam.

03:05And Sam is still in his feelings because, you know, he broke up with Chris and, you know, you said

03:10he didn't get the answers that he wanted and you wanted Chris to fight for him.

03:14And it's like, how do you expect someone who had written leave to fight for you?

03:17Make that make sense.

03:18Please make it make sense.

03:19I don't get it.

03:20I think there's a level of immaturity when it comes to Sam and he needs to do some sort of

03:26emotional growth or he needs to develop his emotional intelligence more or less.

03:33Anyway, Chris on his part is unbothered.

03:35He is getting ready for the function and he's good.

03:38Alyssa and David, obviously, there is the issue whereby Alyssa's mom wasn't happy for them to move sort of –

03:46they were moving to – where were they moving to?

03:48Oh, my God.

03:49I completely forgot.

03:50I think Melbourne or something, was it?

03:51And so the mom is not happy for them to move halfway in between the – or they were moving

03:56to Sydney.

03:56Her mom wasn't happy for them to move to Sydney because, obviously, she wants grandchildren.

04:00And because of that, you had Alyssa spiraling.

04:03And now David is in the space whereby he's saying, you know, I want to sort of – I'm overwhelmed

04:08because I feel like I've given you everything you've needed.

04:12And you still, you know, are saying it's too good to be true, so why should I continue to give

04:16of myself if you are not willing to accept what I'm giving you and you're constantly looking for fault?

04:21Sadly for Alyssa, she's going to regret if this man decides to move on.

04:26Because at the end of the day, unless they were pretending to be a happy couple, he comes across as

04:30a very great guy, a guy that is good for her, that will help her to grow and become the

04:35best version of herself.

04:36So I'm surprised that she's still continuing to struggle and still looking for fault.

04:41Anyway, we have the dinner party.

04:43This is the second from last dinner party.

04:45All the experts are there.

04:46It's really sad to see, you know, Mel there knowing what's happened now.

04:51So first to come in, we have Rachel and Stephen.

04:54They are in the best of spaces.

04:55They are in the best of spaces.

04:57They are happy.

04:57They're giddy.

04:58They're excited.

04:59The homestay went very well for them.

05:01So they are unbothered about everything else that's going to happen with anybody else.

05:06David and Alyssa, before they walked in, you had them sort of have this conversation where Alyssa was saying, you

05:12need to reward what you're going to say because at the end of the day, I don't want everyone to

05:16think that you're leaving.

05:17And it's like, why are we being so hypocritical suddenly?

05:20What has happened?

05:22What has really unraveled Alyssa to the extent that she has to be so nitpicky?

05:26I bear to wonder what trauma she went through in her previous relationships that has caused her to be in

05:31this very untrusting situation.

05:34You have Gia and Scott.

05:36They came in.

05:37They were putting on a brave race.

05:39They were pretending like everything went well.

05:41We all know their homestay was a disaster.

05:43But they want to keep up appearances and make everybody believe that they're doing very well as a couple.

05:47Do I buy it?

05:49No, I do not buy it.

05:50We don't have Sam and Chris in their cars sort of having a chat with production because obviously they're not

05:56coming together.

05:57Chris on his part is saying he's happy that he's traveling alone because he doesn't think he would be able

06:01to sit in the car with Sam.

06:03Sam on his part is still aggrieved because, you know, he feels like he sort of didn't get what he

06:09wanted.

06:10He was expecting his partner to fight for him and his partner didn't do that.

06:14Chris is saying, you know, he feels like Sam when they get to the event is going to turn everyone

06:18against him.

06:18I feel like Chris threw a tantrum and that's why he came in first because there was no reason why

06:23he came in first if he was the one I was broken up with and he was the one at

06:26fault.

06:29Stella and Phillip.

06:30Stella and Phillip are always excited and giddy and they're happy.

06:32They reveal that, you know, Phillip will be moving with Stella and they have already made plans, which I love

06:38for them.

06:38I really do.

06:39As long as they're happy, I love it.

06:40I want at least one successful marriage.

06:42And they really seem to have, you know, turned things around and they're on a path to be a successful

06:47couple.

06:49So Danny and Beck, they walked in.

06:52Obviously, they have been keeping up appearances.

06:55They've come up with a plan of what they're going to do or say.

06:57And they say, you know, their home stay was great.

07:00They're thinking of the logistics of how it's going to sort of work out when they move in together.

07:04Because obviously they will be moving to Beck's house as she's reiterated countless times.

07:10So I can't wait to see what happens to that mess.

07:13You then have Chris, because Sam hasn't arrived, start to tell everybody else that, you know, we went to the

07:18homestays and, you know, Sammy broke up with me.

07:22He had so many questions.

07:23This, that, and the other.

07:24We couldn't make it work.

07:25And it's like he's trying to taint the group first before Sam arrives.

07:30And I don't know why he did that unless he knows he's in the room.

07:32You should have just waited for Sam to arrive and then the two of them sit down, have a conversation.

07:36I personally don't understand what happened with Chris that suddenly made him change his mind.

07:42Because it's not that big a deal.

07:43He was told I didn't like the fact that you didn't consider me in your plans.

07:47And to go from that, suddenly saying we're divorcing, something is not right.

07:51And I really wish we knew what it was.

07:53On his part, Sam came in.

07:55Chris was the first to run and greet him.

07:57And then you had Sam, you know, go and speak to everybody else.

08:01And I found it awkward.

08:03I really did.

08:04Because it's, there's already this impression that this has been created by Chris.

08:09So by the time Sam arrives, he's sort of playing catch up.

08:12At least Alyssa was able to catch him up to say, this is what Chris said.

08:15He came in and you told us A, B, C, D, E, F, G.

08:17So it's up to you what you decide.

08:19And it's like, I don't know, really.

08:21I don't know.

08:21As a couple, I am curious to find out what exactly went wrong.

08:26What exactly went wrong?

08:27Because there's something missing.

08:29We can't go from, you know, I and my partner are moving to my farm.

08:33And then my partner will be living in the city.

08:34So suddenly we're in divorce field.

08:36It's not making sense.

08:38The guys, everyone goes to the dinner table because dinner is served.

08:41And as soon as they sit down, it's Okskalo.

08:43You can tell that Chris is chopping at the best to say his piece.

08:46That way, you know, everybody takes his side.

08:48And on his part, Sam is doing the same.

08:51And it's like, oh my God, I don't get it.

08:53So they start to talk.

08:54And then immediately you have Chris speak up and say, you know, I tried my best.

08:57I gave it everything I had, but nothing seemed to work.

09:01It didn't seem to save the relationship.

09:03And so, you know, Sam broke up with me.

09:05Sam had his own point of view.

09:06He said, you know, he woke up and they said the first day was great.

09:10But the next day he woke up and Chris had gone and he was left in Chris's house and he

09:14didn't know what to do with himself.

09:16He talks about the fact that he questioned Chris's motives for bringing him to the farm.

09:20Because if you're going to bring me to the farm and say you want to work on our relationship, why

09:23would you leave me alone without saying anything?

09:26Chris on his part says, I didn't want to wake you up.

09:28I think it was a bit shady and messy.

09:30He could have easily left a note to say, I've just gone to the gym.

09:32I'll be back shortly.

09:33Unless it was there in production, put it away.

09:35I don't get it.

09:37But there's then this dialogue about the questions.

09:40The questions were very awkward when they were initially asked.

09:43And so for it to be brought up again, you know, I don't get it.

09:47Sam is complaining that you didn't take my feelings into consideration.

09:50I expected you to fight for me.

09:52You didn't fight for me.

09:53And it's like, how do you expect someone to fight for you when the relationship is already broken down?

09:59How is he fighting for you?

10:00It's one thing if the two of you are in the best of spaces, but the two of you are

10:03already in splits field.

10:04So why would you expect him to fight for you?

10:06I love that Stella spoke up and said, at the end of the day, Sam, you can't blame Chris for

10:11your feelings.

10:12You can blame him for his actions, but you can't blame him for your feelings and how you felt.

10:17For Beck to then step in and silence Stella, I didn't like it.

10:20And surprise, surprise.

10:22Well, not really.

10:23On her part, Gia kept quiet.

10:25And it's like, Gia, if Beck is defending Sam, the least you could do is defend your friend.

10:30That's the least you could do.

10:31For you to sit there and suddenly lose your voice and lose your opinions, it doesn't make sense.

10:36Because this guy, you've told him, you're my best friend and I'll fight for you.

10:39And suddenly, time and time again, you've shown you who you are.

10:42I really wasn't surprised.

10:44You then had, you know, on her part, Beck saying, you know, at the end of the day, you had

10:51Sam.

10:51You really put his all into this relationship.

10:54It was a one-sided relationship.

10:55And, you know, he was met with aggression.

10:58And so Chris had to call her out and say, what do you mean he was met with aggression?

11:01You're the last person who should be talking about aggression because you've been aggressive towards couples several times in this

11:06experiment.

11:06So the idea that suddenly you are seeing, you're saying or you're seeing aggression here doesn't make sense.

11:13And I get where he's coming from because Beck is the last person who should be speaking up for anyone.

11:17Or trying to advocate for good behavior because she is the definition of bad, appalling behavior.

11:23Anyway, you then add Beck and Danny.

11:27Beck and Danny said their homestay was great.

11:29They did.

11:30Well, Danny said they argued.

11:32She said they had a little wobble.

11:34And it's like, which wobble, quabble, wobble, listen to me, wobble or quarrel or argue is still the same thing.

11:41It's a disagreement between you two.

11:42So take it for what it is and keep it stepping.

11:45I get where Dan was coming from.

11:47Maybe the wording wasn't right because he said, I felt unwelcome in her home, especially when we had the disagreement.

11:53And so it makes sense that he would want to say, I think if they are moving together or he's

11:59moving to Adelaide, he should move to Adelaide, rent an apartment for at least six months, see how that works

12:05out.

12:05If it works out amazingly well, then they can move in together.

12:08Not for him to go and pack his bags wherever he's from, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, whatever, and come and move

12:13into Beck's house.

12:13Because he will be kicked out on the street before he can say good morning.

12:17So I get where he's coming from.

12:18I think the phrasing wasn't the best.

12:20Obviously, you had all the guys agree with him that it makes sense that you would want to contribute something

12:25to the household because you can't just move into a woman's household and be looked after.

12:29I get it.

12:30I understand it.

12:31I think there's a way it could have been delivered.

12:33But at the end of the day, we all get the message.

12:35For Beck to say, well, you know, where would you get such a big house, you know, with a $90

12:40,000 mortgage and blah, blah, blah.

12:42And it's like, that's the problem.

12:44That's where the problem lies because he doesn't want you rubbing it in his face tomorrow and saying ABC.

12:49Even David spoke up and Alisa was, oh, but, you know, we can do it together.

12:53Yes, if the two of you agreed to do it together, amazingly well, because all Beck needed to do was

12:58she could say, okay, I'll lease out my house.

13:00And then the two of us will look for something else.

13:02And that would have been better, except for her to find fault in them.

13:05Anyway, Alisa and David were then asked about themselves as a couple.

13:10Alisa reveals that she spiraled.

13:11You know, she said she can't leave Adelaide because she's got contracts.

13:14She's got her home.

13:15She's got her cats.

13:16She's got her parents there.

13:17She's got everything.

13:18So she can't move to Sydney as they initially planned.

13:21And David on his part was saying, you know, I've reached my ceiling.

13:25For Alisa to suddenly start finding fault and complaining, oh, he snows, he does this.

13:29I'm happy David said enough is enough.

13:31Your friends, your mother, everybody told you I'm the best person for you.

13:35And you are continuing to be nitpicky and look for faults with me and my behavior and whatever else.

13:41So maybe we're not it.

13:42Maybe we're not it.

13:43You could see Alisa was shaken.

13:45She was shaken.

13:46Even the experts were saying, you know, this is not good.

13:48Because at the end of the day, this has been a very steady couple.

13:51This has been a couple that has been loving and caring towards one another.

13:54So the idea that suddenly they're in the space where there's sort of this issue of unable to sort of

13:59balance each other out.

14:01We are in troubled waters.

14:03And I totally agree with that.

14:04They are in troubled waters.

14:05And they need to reach an understanding and come up with a plan and a way forward.

14:09You had Stella and Philip.

14:12Stella and Philip told everyone they did amazingly well.

14:15Their homestay was amazing.

14:16And because of the homestay, Philip can actually see his life there.

14:20He can see himself moving into a place and the two of them moving in together and living their happy

14:25life.

14:25And so Philip and Stella, I think, are the poster child for the season, followed by Rachel and Stephen.

14:31So I love this for them.

14:32If they are happy, we love it.

14:34Stephen and Rachel, he said we had a great time.

14:38Obviously, he took her on the boat.

14:39He took her fishing.

14:40She caught fish.

14:41She threw it into the water.

14:42She was able to spend time with his family and be in his life.

14:46And he can actually see them as a couple outside of the experience.

14:49He can actually see them working and how that would look like because of the homestay.

14:54I think Stephen was the luckiest in the experiment because he got her wife who was loving, caring, compassionate, empathetic,

14:59and patient.

15:01And because of that, they are in this space whereby they could have a successful relationship.

15:05Yes, they will still need a lot of work.

15:07I know they're in this happy sort of bubble of theirs, but they still need to do some work in

15:11order for them to continue to progress.

15:13Rachel is pleased with zero.

15:15Her buy is at the floor.

15:17So anything this man does or says, she's pleased by it.

15:20She was excited by how he talked about her relationship.

15:22I think him spending time with Alyssa was good for him because it was able to give him the tools

15:27that he needed from a female point of view to go and build on this relationship and grow it.

15:32So I love it for them.

15:33And because everybody else was celebrating Rachel and Stephen, you had Beck wanting to be the center of attention.

15:39So she then started mumbling to her husband and complaining bitterly that you shouldn't have told everyone that you had

15:45an issue with moving into my house.

15:47You should have spoken to me about this.

15:48Danny has already said he's spoken to her twice about it.

15:51So the idea that suddenly she is asking him and questioning him, I don't get how the experts didn't pick

15:56up on that in the sense that he's already said they've had this conversation twice about where they'll move to

16:02and what that will look like after the experience.

16:05Do I think they should be moving in together?

16:06No, I do not.

16:07I do not think they should be moving in together.

16:09I think at this point they need to focus on themselves and their livelihoods and sort of see if they

16:14can do long distance.

16:15If it works, then they can consider moving in together.

16:18But Beck will need to go to therapy before they can do anything else.

16:21Anyway, it's really sad about Mel.

16:24I like the little tribute that they did at the end and sending love to her family.
