00:01A piece of Beatles history has gone on display in Liverpool after a fan donated a marriage
00:06table linked to George Harrison. The oak desk was used when Harrison married Patty Boyd
00:11at Epsom Register office in 1966, where Sir Paul McCartney acted as best man. John Lennon
00:17and Ringo Starr did not attend the wedding of their bandmate as both were on holiday
00:22at the time. It has now been given to the Liverpool Beatles Museum, where it's being
00:27shown to the public for the first time. Museum owner Rog Besk says the item was verified
00:34before display. The original ceremony was private. The table had been kept in a fan's living
00:39room before donation to the Matthew Street attraction.
