00:26I've never done that before, really.
00:29I'd never been able to sort of go from like a really dramatic moment
00:33into having to bring it towards the end of the scene to a comedy or vice versa.
00:38And so that makes it very exciting to an actor and very challenging.
00:43And I think that that's probably a big of the reason why we all sort of jumped into it,
00:47because we don't know what that was going to be like.
00:49And yeah, I think that actors are naturally designed to want to challenge that.
00:54And so that was interesting.
00:56I'd done some of these stylistic type of movies, but never in Ben David's world and mine is completely his
01:04own.
01:05And so that was very exciting.
01:06It was unique and it was a, you know, unique story.
01:11And it's a first time story.
01:13We don't get those anymore.
01:14And so we always want to be part of stuff like that, I think, as artists and support new visions.
01:18Yes, it's a very original movie.
01:22And both of your characters, from my point of view, are an evolution of classic character of a gangster movie.
01:30Because she is a femme fatale, but she's also smart, ironic.
01:37And he's an henchman, but he has a tender art.
01:42He's very romantic.
01:44What are your thoughts about this evolution of your character?
01:49Yeah, great question.
01:50It would be boring to me and uninteresting if we just played a henchman or we just played a femme
01:56fatale.
01:56I think the challenge at bringing dimension to these characters is bringing the humanity to them and what's underneath the
02:09armor and the, you know, the sort of tough guy exterior.
02:14And, yeah, with Mike, he's definitely, it's, he doesn't want to be defined by this type of work, you know,
02:22being a hitman.
02:23And he wants to have a life and a house and a wife and a dog.
02:27He wants a normal life and he wants to be happy.
02:31And so I think, you know, it's, I love it when characters, when there's a tug of war within the
02:38character that you're playing.
02:39And, you know, where there's a sort of internal battle of what, what this person has to do for a
02:44living or what their demons are.
02:46And then that they're, and then the other force going in the other direction, pulling them towards goodness, pulling them
02:52towards optimism and positivity.
02:54And so it just makes for a multifaceted character and a lot more fun for an actor to play.
