00:00A Ukrainian civil society advocate is warning of the growing threat posed by disinformation from authoritarian countries.
00:06We experience a situation when Russia has been spreading narratives that we are a fake state,
00:13that we are not an independent country, that legitimately it should be a part of Russia.
00:19And doesn't it ring the bell here in Taiwan?
00:24Maka Rovich was among Ukrainian and local experts speaking at an event at Taiwan's legislature.
00:30Discussions focused on hybrid warfare and drone production amid rising threats from authoritarian governments.
00:36Taiwan currently plans to buy around 200,000 drones and unmanned vehicles,
00:41with one Ukrainian expert saying the key challenge right now is integrating them into its military.
00:47You can have millions, millions of drones,
00:50but if you don't integrate them correctly and don't have a normal,
00:54for example, central command of unmanned systems of any type of drones,
00:59if you don't use them correctly, you will fail with that.
01:04Drones have played a key role in Ukraine's strategy against Russia's invasion.
