00:11Shadow Gambit The Cursed Crew is a stealth strategy game that's set in the lost caribine
00:17which is an alternate history version of the caribine we know
00:20and it's set during the golden age of piracy
00:22and your goal is to assemble a crew of cursed pirates with cool magical abilities
00:27to find the legendary treasure of Captain Mordecai
00:32the vision for Shadow Gambit was to really push the genre
00:35we want to give the players as much freedom as possible this time
00:39and for the first time we added magic which opens a whole new world of opportunities
00:47so we have these islands that you can explore where you can play the way you want to play
00:51and we have the characters with awesome abilities and you can combine them as well the way you want to
00:56so every mission becomes kind of unique depending on what you choose
00:59and that's the strength of the game and it's sort of the core we're aiming for
01:02the freedom starts with a pirate ship as it should in a pirate game
01:06her name is the Red Mali and she's basically one of the main characters in the game as well
01:11so you can talk to your ship
01:12and you can use the Red Mali to sail to different islands in the lost caribine
01:17and have missions there
01:19we moved from a linear mission order a linear story to an open structure
01:24and it's up to you which island you want to visit first which mission you want to tackle
01:28every island is like a small sandbox so you choose like oh the beach looks very nice to me
01:34i've never been there i want to enter there and you go on your mission you complete your objective
01:38so overall it's really up to you how you explore each island
01:42you can also choose the crew you want to bring on that mission and see i want to maybe tackle
01:47it this way
01:47so i'll bring these guys and gals with me or someone else might have a very different idea
01:51and the mission plays very differently on whatever you choose
01:55this time your crew is enhanced by soul magic which makes them more powerful
01:59so you can tackle some situations heads on and if something goes wrong
02:03you're already dead and cursed you can revive your characters
02:08since we finally have a world filled with magic we can give these characters magical abilities
02:13we're not constrained by well boring things like realism anymore
02:17so we can give these characters extremely crazy and fun skills that we couldn't before
02:21and that's something i'm very excited about
02:25in our first gameplay trailer we already showed you three of the characters
02:28and now we're gonna unveil a fourth one his name is toya and he's an undead ninja pirate basically
02:35which is pretty awesome in itself and he has the ability to teleport around long distance
02:40so that makes him very strong you can use that to attack and just stab a guard teleport onto them
02:45or you can use it to escape maybe you ran into some place caused some mayhem and you just teleport
02:49back out there so the inquisition can't get you so if you master him you can nearly be in two
02:54places
02:55at once and the real fun then comes from combining your different team members and experiment with
03:01their skills and find new synergies we're very excited to show you more of shadow gambit the cursed
