00:00It's rusty.
00:03Ok, cool, we're starting.
00:05All right.
00:06Hello everybody, Simon here with yet another roadmap update for Assassin's Creed Shadows.
00:12Now that most of you have been able to enjoy some quality time untangling the grasp of the Senzuku Ipa
00:18on the island of Awaji,
00:19and that all of you have been able to take Naoi's new bo staff for a whirl, we've been receiving
00:24some questions.
00:25Are you done with AC Shadows? Is that it?
00:28No, no we're not. Far from it, in fact. We still have a bunch of goodies coming your way,
00:34so today we're going to take a look at everything you can expect until the holidays this year.
00:39Starting on October 28th, we're adding a new toggle option called Advanced Parkour.
00:45This new option removes all parkour guardrails, which means you can do side ejects and back ejects from any heights,
00:52allowing you to risk life and limb for death-defying parkour runs.
00:56The Advanced Parkour option also brings refined control for side ejects.
01:00First, performing a side eject with parkour up will allow you to either gain height,
01:05which remains unchanged since our first parkour date,
01:08but if it cannot find a decent landing spot, it will launch you sideways horizontally as far as possible without
01:14any height restriction.
01:15But here's the tweak. Performing a side eject with parkour down will send you downward at a sharp angle,
01:22generally much closer to your starting point, and you will never gain any height.
01:26It's a subtle change, but one that brings more freedom of expression, which I'm sure parkour aficionados around the world
01:32are going to appreciate.
01:33Now, for regular parkour, meaning this will work whether or not you have the Advanced Parkour option turned on,
01:38we are extending the context in which the vertical ledge grab is going to work to include non-standing objects.
01:44That means beams, lanterns, little poles, things of that nature.
01:48Another small but impactful parkour addition.
01:51From those same non-standing objects, we are introducing a new Manual Jump option,
01:55which allows you to do some creative shortcuts while running along rooftops, another way to refine parkour further.
02:02Now, careful, this is not a full manual jump, it only works from non-standing objects.
02:07And finally, we are reintroducing a much-requested feature called the Directional Catch Ledge mechanic.
02:13To catch a ledge, simply hold the left stick towards the nearest ledge,
02:16and tap the Parkour Up button to catch that ledge and stop your character from falling.
02:21This works from any height, and it is particularly useful when combined with Advanced Parkour or Overeager Grappling Hooks.
02:29October 28th is also when you can expect a new Animus-themed activity called Corrupted Castle.
02:35Any previously completed castle may get corrupted and filled with Animus anomalies,
02:41including Corrupted Samurai Daishos and their corresponding reward chests.
02:46Up to five Corrupted Castles will appear on the map each season,
02:49allowing you plenty of opportunities to reengage those castles at higher levels of play for even greater rewards.
02:56Now, what about free content drops?
02:58Well, the next one is coming your way on November 25th, and it's called A Puzzle Man.
03:03This quest has a much more humorous, silly tone, much more akin to something like AC Odyssey,
03:08in which we are digging up old foes from Naoe's past who are now looking for a bit of redemption.
03:12Naoe and Yasuke will have to combine their efforts and patience to teach those two nitwits how to become Kakushiba
03:19Iki,
03:20which also allows our two protagonists to learn new skills from each other.
03:23Naoe will learn how to perform her own spectacular version of Yasuke's War Kick ability,
03:29and Yasuke will learn how to stealthily dispatch enemies in a non-lethal way.
03:33And you might finally be able to settle the debate as to who would win in a straight-up duel
03:40between our two protagonists.
03:42A duel, huh?
03:43One harmless match.
03:45Duel! Duel! Duel! Duel!
03:48And as the name implies, A Puzzle Man also introduces a brand new and quite laborious environmental puzzle
03:54that may hold the answers to a bunch of questions that you, the community, have been asking us for a
04:00while.
04:01You must be a little curious about what is behind the door.
04:04A little.
04:05But wait, there is more.
04:07We are doubling down on the free story drops because our next special collaboration is also dropping on November 25th.
04:13Can't say too much for now because we don't want to spoil the surprise, but let's just say that it's
04:18big.
04:20Okay, let's recap things. New Game Plus, Progression Upgrade, and Claws of Awaji expansions are now live.
04:27We've got Parkour Update 2 and Corrupted Castle activity coming on October 28th.
04:32We've got no less than two new free story drops coming on November 25th.
04:36One of them is a special collaboration.
04:38And you can also expect a whole bunch of freebies around the holiday season.
04:45Come on, guys. I'm trying to wrap up here.
04:47What you got there, anyway?
04:49What, this? It's Assassin's Creed Shadows on the Nintendo Switch 2.
04:53Wait, what? Really?
04:55Yeah, it's coming out on December 2nd, just in time for the holidays.
04:59No way. And it has all the recent updates and free content drops and everything.
05:04Except the Claws of Awaji expansion, which will come later in the new year.
05:08There's no way this works with cross-progression to Ubisoft Connect, so I can pick up where I left off,
05:12right?
05:13Yes, it will.
05:15Cool.
05:16May I?
05:17No, get your own, dude.
05:20May I?
05:21Come on, I'll paint your house.
05:23I'll walk your dog.
05:25I'm a cat person.
05:26I'll do your homework.
05:28I have two master degrees.
05:29Bye, guys.
