00:11The UN stated that criminal gangs control the roads, coasts and mountains in much of
00:16Haiti's territory, not only in Port-au-Prince, but also in other departments such as Atiponit
00:20and Central.
00:22These are the areas where Haiti's main economic activities take place.
00:26The UN emphasized that the activities of these criminal gangs include murders, kidnappings,
00:31extortion, child trafficking, sexual violence and property destruction.
00:34They assert that some victims have been executed and cremated, driving up the numbers of murders
00:39and crimes against humanity.
