00:00But what does this mean for President Trump's plans to, of course, acquire Greenland?
00:06Is there one less person to stand in his way?
00:09Because he seems to have forgotten about it, but he might come back to it, I guess.
00:14It's another important maritime choke point that he has his eye on, that's for sure.
00:19But I think I don't see it really at the moment sort of significantly affecting
00:24whether or not America will annex or buy Greenland in the near future.
00:30However, what's clear is that Fredrickson thought, her party thought,
00:34that the election would be in their favour because they had stood up to Trump.
00:38And this is an interesting thing, speaking to Dr. Ellie's point,
00:42that a lot of parties believe in what they call the Trump lash.
00:45And they think that when Trump interferes in their politics,
00:48there's a sort of national reaction against it.
00:50And they can ride on the coattails of that towards political success,
00:54being a kind of force of anti-Trump against Trump.
00:57And that clearly happened with Mark Carney in Canada,
01:00who was not going to win the election until Donald Trump started talking about
01:04making Canada the 51st state of the United States.
01:07And then he did.
01:09But that didn't seem to happen here because the election quickly stopped being about Greenland
01:13and soon became about the economy and so on.
01:16And voters aren't happy.
01:17And again, as Dr. Ellie said, centrist parties tend to fail, parties to the left and to the right.
01:23And it's interesting to note the red bloc parties in Denmark doing well.
01:27And actually, that's something we're seeing at the moment is the last few months,
01:32populist right parties, which have been doing so well everywhere, are beginning to struggle.
01:37We see it in Britain.
01:37They're beginning to fracture in certain ways.
01:39And it's actually the left, the far left, that's really having a bit of a moment in many parts of
01:45Europe.
01:45So that's an interesting trend to watch out for.
01:48And Denmark's clearly passed that.
