00:00What do you make of those assertions from Ahmed?
00:04Is this a bit of a trap that the U.S. is setting for Iran to stir the pot,
00:11see who floats to the surface?
00:13Or is President Trump serious about wanting to make a long-term deal?
00:18Or is this just about calming the oil markets?
00:21Oh, for Donald Trump, it's all about trying to calm the markets right now.
00:24I mean, we saw a huge swing in the financial markets yesterday
00:27when he announced that he's been in touch with Iran's leadership
00:30and is trying to negotiate a ceasefire.
00:33Iran responded back that they have not been, in fact, in talks with Donald Trump.
00:37I think what we're seeing right now is that we're seeing a desperate move
00:40from the United States and Israel to try to find a ceasefire
00:42because they have started a war that, unfortunately, is not in a good position.
00:47They have completely underestimated Iran.
00:50The fact that this war is now entering the 25th, 26th day,
00:53this is an absolute disaster for the United States.
00:56They literally said that at the beginning of this that it was about regime change.
01:00They had to walk that back.
01:01We saw Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State,
01:04admit on camera that they went to war because of Israel.
01:07And this has been an absolute disaster.
01:09They had the same blueprint.
01:10They said that Venezuela was going to be our blueprint for Iran.
01:14That, of course, did not turn out that way.
01:16I think that what we're seeing right now is Donald Trump absolutely being desperate,
01:21realizing that he does not have a lot of cards right now,
01:24and that the Iranians have actually had an incredible fight against the United States.
01:29I mean, we look at, for example, these military assets have been attacked.
01:32We've seen, for example, an F-35, first time in history that this has been attacked.
01:36We've seen Iran launch missiles over 4,000 kilometers away,
01:40hitting a United States base for the first time in history.
01:42None of this was expected from the Trump administration.
01:45So I think it's a complete opposite, to be honest.
01:47I think that it's Donald Trump desperately trying to find a solution to Pandora's box
01:52that he's opened and has no way to close.
