00:17Well, I think one thing that they said is that there should have been is that the United States is
00:23always strongest when we're united and we can be united on national and international security issues.
00:30Without being united on domestic issues.
00:33And if you look back at recent and recent American wars, President Johnson did get a congressional authorization through the
00:43Gulf of Tonkin resolution.
00:44There was some deception involved, but he did go to Congress.
00:47The first President Bush did get a congressional authorization for the first Gulf War.
00:53And the second President Bush got congressional authorizations for the Afghanistan war and then the Iraq war.
01:02So he should have gone to the country and explained what he was doing.
01:05He should have gotten going to Congress and gotten an authorization.
01:09That would have meant that he had to define objectives.
01:12And now he could be saying that we we've achieved these objectives.
01:17I don't think too many Americans want to see Iran get nuclear weapons and play a destabilizing role in the
01:27region and the world.
01:28There have been all kinds of approaches.
01:30President Obama negotiated an agreement with Iran toward that end.
01:35President Trump in his first term took the United States out of that agreement.
01:40And after the bombing of Iran last year, I believe President Trump said that we had gotten rid of their
01:50nuclear capacity and he attacked his fake news.
01:52Anyone who said otherwise now, presumably for there to be any logic in what he was doing, there was some
01:58kind of immediate threat two weeks ago that he didn't acknowledge after the bombings last year.
02:04So it's very difficult to understand what he's trying to do and therefore to understand whether or not he's done
02:11it.
