21:43theory there's usually one person that's a bit avoidantly attached and they're called avoidant
21:48dismissive and then the other person's anxiously attached um so this is very very standard they
21:54tend to pair up i've lured in an anxious clinger and i can't get rid of it i've lured in
21:59a dismissive
22:00got a big old anxious clinger in the net okay well you know one person is more relaxed feels quite
22:08safe and secure in the whole thing but the other person is to feel nervous about even slight things if
22:14you can have empathy for that and if you can react with kind of maybe gentleness and reassurance and
22:21holding i think that i exactly my little my little anxious clinger that kind of thing would go a long
22:31way okay do you know what i mean yeah i think i'm a quite an affectionate person i know it
22:37sounds
22:37not like me but when i'm with someone i'm very affectionate and i'm very caring so if i've gone
22:43to bed and we haven't even hugged that day i'm like oh i think i need that intimacy yeah i

23:36your lives have have changed navigating that change is kind of where we're at yeah
23:56the thought of having ms obviously is worrying it's a horrific disease and my mum is having a
24:03terrible time with it and i'm hoping by going to this meeting i gain more insight and just learn
24:10more about the disease i'm bal athwal i'm a neurologist and hopefully i'll be helped able
24:17to speak to you about the condition and uh what to look for okay great thank you so multiple sclerosis
24:23we think of as an inflammatory disease primarily of the central nervous system we're learning more and
24:30more about it as the years go by but unfortunately we still don't fully understand what causes the
24:36condition but then i guess what signs i trip up occasionally and i don't really know what i guess
24:43signs to look out for let's say that you developed a sensory change in your legs okay and that sensory
24:51change evolved and got worse over hours perhaps a couple of days and then it kind of seems to
24:56stabilize and then it gradually goes away we will quite frequently as neurologists be asked to see
25:03patients particularly young women who have sensory symptoms or might be feeling clumsy and there's
25:10often this concern could this person have ms most of the time that doesn't come to anything okay most
25:15of the time we can reassure having seen it firsthand with my mother i'd hate for my children to have
25:22to
25:22see me go through the same thing as i've had to see my mum go through there is a genetic
25:27link but it's
25:28a very weak genetic link so far as we know okay so if you've got a first degree family relative
25:34meaning
25:34sister brother mother that kind of thing then your chances are higher but they're still quite low okay
25:40all right well that's all sounding pretty good to me i'm thrilled a bit yeah i'm very grateful that
25:45we've seen you please that we've seen you to be told that the chances of us having ms were quite
25:52low
25:52i was obviously very relieved i do feel like a weight has been lifted
