00:01Football fans will agree Madden is a terrific series of games, and for the most part, it's improved with every
00:07reincarnation.
00:08Slowly and steadily, EA Sports has taken steps towards more realistic animations, immersive gameplay, and most importantly, endless replayability.
00:17Whether Madden NFL 24 is no exception, well, that's up for debate.
00:22It's not perfect, maybe it never will be. IGN reports that while several notable improvements have been made since the
00:29last installation, it still feels like what the series has been known for in recent years.
00:34A great on-field experience desperately searching for a way to make everything else work.
00:40According to GameSpot, if a football fan only wants to know whether this year's gameplay is better than last year's
00:46on the field, it surely does.
00:48But the problems Madden 24 faces are emblematic of its legacy. A long history of backtracking to old features, and
00:56this is far from the first time that features were introduced, removed, and later revived.
01:01It's as plain as day. The biggest hindrance to the game is the yearly nature of the series.
01:07Developers are hard at work trying to reinvigorate Madden with each new release, but what both the game and its
01:14fans really need is a ground-up refresh.
01:17Hopefully that will happen, but honestly, it might be a while.
01:21.
