00:02So the first look of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is here courtesy of Onleaks, in collaboration
00:08with Android Headlines.
00:10At first glance, it looks identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
00:14Samsung is very lazy when it comes to refreshing the design of its phones, and that is the
00:19case with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 too.
00:22You get the flat edges, a centered hole punch cut out on the cover display, and a vertically
00:26aligned triple camera setup.
00:28The camera module itself remains quite prominent with a noticeable raised bump.
00:33Apart from a raised camera bump, I don't see any difference between both phones, even
00:38the dimensions are exactly the same, albeit a little more thicker than the Fold 7, but
00:43that won't be noticeable in real life.
00:45So this could be a minor adjustment rather than a step back, but you will see upgrades
00:50in the display department.
00:51To make the display crease less visible, Samsung is reportedly working on a dual layer ultra
00:58thin glass setup for the main display along with a revised support structure.
01:02However sizes for both the inner and outer display might remain the same, around 8 inches
01:08and 6.5 inches.
01:10Samsung has always been criticized for having a smaller battery on its foldable phones, but
01:15that might be changing with the Z Fold 8.
01:17The recent 3C listing of the device showed a 5,000 mAh battery, an upgrade over the 4,400 mAh
01:26battery of the Fold 7.
01:27The battery upgrade comes with charging upgrade as well.
01:31It is listed with 45W fast charging, which is a welcome addition, as the Z Fold 7 supports
01:37a measly 25W fast charging.
01:40Now speaking of the cameras, the Z Fold 8 might get a new 50MP ultra-wide sensor, an upgrade
01:47over the 12MP on the Fold 7, which would enhance the camera performance.
01:52The 10MP telephoto sensor might remain unchanged, but might get better by software processing.
01:59The 200MP main camera might remain unchanged as well.
02:03Other improvements include a bigger vapor chamber for better heat management, a new hinge mechanism,
02:09and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy.
02:13So yeah, the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 isn't changing much, but the company seems to
02:19be focusing on the areas that matter in daily use.
02:21So what's your thoughts on this?

02:26Hope to see you in the next one.
