00:18We thought, what better way to celebrate with the community than to involve some of our community content creators and

00:26Any opportunity I get, I spend exploring and walking at the wonderful countryside of England.
00:31From the New Forest to the Lake District and Northumberland and everything in between.
00:37The UK and Ireland update then was a wonderful addition to the sim for me, as it allowed me to
00:43view all my favourite places from an entirely new perspective.
00:472022 will give yet another fresh perspective on all these locations that I love with the arrival of helicopters and
00:54gliders.
00:55Something I'm certainly looking forward to.
00:57There have been a lot of highlights in Microsoft Flight Simulator in 2021.
01:01I would say my personal favourite highlight was watching an entire fleet of wide-body aircraft overshoot the runway in
01:07multiplayer at what was formerly Saba Airport, the world's shortest runway.
01:11And I'm most looking forward to seeing what new aircraft are going to be released in the coming year.
01:16I've really gotten back into a lot of realistic flying, specifically on VATSIM.
01:19And I'd like to see what different developers in the community and Microsoft themselves can offer in order to reach
01:25that next level of realism.

01:29So it's almost the new year and I think there's some pretty exciting things coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
01:35The airplane I'm most looking forward to is the de Havilland Twin Otter.
01:39I don't know what there is, but the Twin Otter is probably just the goofiest, coolest little airplane out there.
01:47It's a great twin of all the airplanes that's coming out and there are some great ones coming and I
01:52can't wait for them.
01:54I can't wait for the Twin Otter.
01:56Hey, my highlight of the year in Microsoft Flight Simulator was the community-driven DC-6 event when so many
02:05people came together for a single cause and the vibes were incredible.
02:10As for 2022, I cannot wait to see big complex airliners land in the sim and what we as a
02:19community are going to do with them.
02:20My personal highlight from 2021 was the unexpected opportunity that Microsoft Flight Simulator provided to connect with awesome new friends
02:30and create a community of flight and navigation enthusiasts.
02:35In 2022, I'm excited to become more involved in the flight sim community and give back what I have learned
02:41to our new members and beginners in the flight sim world.
02:44A personal satisfaction in 2021 have been the lessons on my channel on Tuesday evenings from beginner all through to
02:52the IFR series, but also the lessons that we've been doing with Jane on the MSFS official channel have been
03:00an overwhelming success.
03:02We started out with two lessons just to see how it would go and it's still going and we're looking
03:07forward to even, you know, interesting, more interesting things in as we move into 2022, for instance, going into more
03:14high performance planes and getting more advanced things.
03:17Hello, Symthom here. My most favorite moment from 2021 was definitely the Reno update. It's such an exciting add-on,
03:25a nice way to engage with the community and it gets your heart pumping.
03:28For 2022, I'm mostly looking forward to the PMDG 737 and the 777-747. I'm an IFR type of guy,
03:37so I can't wait to fly those in a Microsoft Flight Simulator.
03:41What was my personal highlight from 2021? I think it has to be seeing my home city of Auckland, New
03:46Zealand in a flight simulator platform.
03:48First time in 15 years in a recognizable high quality. It was really neat to be able to fly around
03:53it.
03:53And of course, all the cool people I've met through the Microsoft Flight Simulator community streaming sessions.
03:57As for what I'm looking forward to most in 2022, I think both the Oceania World Update and the ATR
04:04-72 that will be arriving in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
04:08So I think my favorite part of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, this year, has been the launch of Xbox.
04:16It's been pretty awesome seeing a ton of other players on the other platforms, in-game, flying around, all sorts
04:23of aircraft.
04:24What I'm looking forward to next year is the Top Gun expansion. That should be pretty awesome.
04:31Hey guys, Captain Seppi here. What was I most excited for in 2021?
04:35The fact that I could actually do celestial navigation on Microsoft Flight Simulator.
04:39That was about as thrilling as it gets. Celestially navigating across the Pacific.
04:44What am I excited most for in upcoming 2022?
04:47I'm excited for everything that we have coming forward. All the aircraft, all the designers, all the people that are
04:53working out there to deliver some great products.

04:58My personal Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 highlight of this year would probably be being able to fly to countries like
05:03Iran, where there's no really scenery in any other simulator.
05:07But my family being from Iran, of course, have a very close attachment to that place.
05:11And being able to fly there on the sim and seeing all the satellite imagery and the beautiful scenery by
05:16far was my favorite part of the sim this year.
05:20For me, it has to be the group flying. I've made so many new friends just flying around and exploring
05:26this incredible world you guys have done.
05:28Between all the updates, the regional updates, it's been incredible.
05:32For me, I'm really looking forward to helicopters. I mean, get to the chopper. It's got to happen.
05:37It's going to be so much fun and it'll be crazy, but it'll be a lot of fun. So I
05:41cannot wait for that.
