00:00Rob Manfred asked, that's on San Francisco Sports Radio the other day,
00:04about the overall health of baseball, and he says it's never been better.
00:09The narrative about baseball dying is like dandelions in your front yard, Maz,
00:13which I know you don't have any because you maintain that thing.
00:15Oh, no, I do have a couple, though.
00:17They can be persistent every now and then.
00:19So what can I tell you?
00:20I don't think that that was a quote-unquote narrative.
00:24I think baseball had real problems in the not-too-distant past
00:28that I think that they've gone a long way to addressing.
00:31And thus, I would agree, as we embark on the season tonight, it opens tonight,
00:39that baseball's in a really good place.
00:41I think it's rebounded nicely the last couple of years.
00:42What do you think?
00:43I would agree.
00:44Look, I think it's in a better spot.
00:46You want me to be pessimistic about it,
00:48I'll tell you that there is a looming labor issue on the horizon
00:51or a work stoppage on the horizon, but that hasn't happened yet.
00:55And so where they are right now, yeah, it's headed in a good direction.
