01:14Oh yeah, I mean, the team's been working on these consoles for years at this point
01:18So we're all just really really excited for gamers all around the world to get their hands on it
01:22I love it, I love it
01:23So first thing we notice when you turn on the console is home, of course
01:26So let's walk through what's new here
01:28First thing here, you know, the team has really spent a lot of time over the last year plus
01:32Really, you know, simplifying, optimizing, refining the experience on Xbox here
01:38To really make it one, you know, simpler and more accessible for people who are new to Xbox
01:43Who might not have ever had an Xbox console before
01:45And then two, to make it a lot more powerful and useful for people who are those upgraders and those
01:50kind of loyal Xbox gamers
01:51So when I land here on home, really the intention of home is to give you quick access to the
01:56games that you were playing recently
01:57As well as can I give you easy ways to discover new games to play
02:01Yeah, and I'd be remiss if I didn't call it these sick dynamic backgrounds that I see going on here
02:05What's up with that?
02:05For sure, so this is exclusive to Xbox Series X and S
02:08These are our new dynamic backgrounds here
02:10We have one for each color that you can pick on the system
02:13And we're hoping to add more in the future too
02:14Love that, looking forward to that
02:16Yeah, so obviously launch day, people are probably going to want to play a game or two on their console
02:20So what do you want to play first? Let's jump into something
02:23Yeah, let's just dive straight into Gears 5 here
02:26I think that's a good place to start
02:27Very good choice, very good choice
02:28And the big reason why I wanted to start with this game here
02:32You know, this is obviously a game from the Xbox One generation
02:35And it was, you know, really like a visual showcase at the time
02:38Really, really stunning game
02:39And the Coalition has done a lot of great work to really make this game shine on Xbox Series X
02:44and S
02:45So they've, you know, gone and done all the optimization work for it
02:47We see this game now running at a beautiful, you know, 4K60 here in the campaign
02:52And it's just looking better than ever before
02:55One thing to really call your attention to here are the detail of the textures
03:00And that's because we are actually using the same textures that we use in the PC version of Gears 5
03:05When it's running under Ultra settings
03:07And that's something that we couldn't do before on Xbox One X
03:10But now we're able to do on Xbox Series X
03:13So it's really, really great to see the game just looking phenomenal here
03:16And in Versus Multiplayer, that framerate's going all the way up to 120, right?
03:19So that was actually one of the first things that I did when I got access to this version of
03:22Gears
03:23And I fired up the Versus Multiplayer just to see what the 120 frames per second really feels like
03:27And I think a lot of people can really relate to that jump from 30 to 60
03:31And really being able to feel the difference there
03:32And then going from 60 to 120, it just feels like incredibly smooth
03:36It's kind of like a gameplay experience like I've never had before, honestly
03:38Nice, well, I just upgraded my TV, so I'm excited to check that out
03:41Oh, yeah
03:41Alright, so maybe you're playing Gears and you want to check in what your friends are up to
03:44Or maybe start a party, so let's check out the guide
03:47What's going on here?
03:48Yeah, so all I have to do here is just hit the Xbox button
03:51And it just pulls up the guide
03:52And you can just think of this as our, you know, sort of over-game menu
03:56So this can come up over the top of any game that you're playing on the system here
04:01And it gives you quick access to those things you might want to do while you're actually playing a game
04:04So, you know, being able to quickly switch between your games and apps
04:07Check out your notifications, you know, take a look at your friends list
04:10Your party chats, your messages, your achievements
04:14And really having all that at your fingertips without disrupting the game at all
04:17I love it, let's hit up another game, what do you want to play?
04:20Well, I think we've got to dive into Dirt 5 next
04:22Let's do it, Dirt 5, I'm excited for this
04:24Yeah, for sure
04:24This is a very beautiful game
04:25For sure, first thing that I want to call your attention to as we're transitioning here
04:29Is this little Quick Resume icon at the top
04:31And this is a brand new feature that we have for Series X and S
04:34And what Quick Resume does is it allows you to instantly pick up where you left off
04:38Across multiple games in the system
04:39So, I mean, if you're like me, you know, like I'm playing, you know, three or four games
04:43Probably, probably at a time
04:44Maybe some I'm playing with my friends
04:45Some is maybe like a more serious game I'm playing by myself
04:48Maybe there's kind of a more casual game I like to jump into occasionally
04:51And I can have all those games like hot and ready to play here
04:54So, just Quick Resume into Dirt 5
04:56Like, I'm just right back here in the middle of the race
04:59And everything's just looking phenomenal
05:01Yeah, I feel like a broken record, but this is stunning
05:03When you get a console on launch
05:04I feel like racing games do such a great job of showcasing it
05:07And you see, like, the cars, the reflections, the dirt
05:10Just name the game
05:11Flying everywhere
05:12It's just a really cool showcase of next-gen
05:16But, of course, we've talked about this game being on Series X and Series S
05:19Let's go back in time
05:21Big focus on Xbox has been compatibility
05:23So, let's showcase a back-and-pack game
05:25What do you want to showcase?
05:26So, let me pop up in the guide again
05:28Let's just jump over to Subnautica
05:30Which is a great game from Xbox One as well
05:33And one thing you're gonna notice as soon as we Quick Resume back over to this game
05:38Is that these colors in this game are looking better than they've ever looked before
05:43So, let me just dive into the water here
05:46And that's actually all thanks to a new feature that we have
05:49A platform-level feature called Auto HDR
05:51And this does exactly what it sounds like
05:53And it adds HDR to games that have never had it before
05:56Which is, like, a crazy impressive feature
05:58And even, you know, games for the Xbox 360
06:01For the original Xbox
06:01You can go play Fusion Frenzy
06:03Which was a launch day game on the original Xbox in HDR
06:06And it's just really kind of breathing new life into these games
06:10And these fantastic classic games on Xbox
06:13Fusion Frenzy
06:13The first game that I ever played on Xbox
06:15Yeah
06:15So, I'm definitely excited to jump in
06:17And that's what we've kind of been talking about
06:18Thousands of games across four generations
06:21Okay, cool, so I'm looking at this game
06:23This is pretty awesome
06:23And I've also been checking out that controller
06:26Familiar, but I know a few tweaks to make it even better, right?
06:29Yeah, for sure
06:29So, this is the brand new Xbox wireless controller
06:32So, this is going to come with your Xbox Series X or S when you get it
06:36It's also, obviously, available to purchase separately
06:38And there's a few things that you're going to notice when you get this controller
06:42The first thing is that it feels really, really comfortable in your hands
06:46So, we've taken everything that we've learned from, you know, making the Xbox One controller
06:49Listening to fans and feedback
06:51Doing a lot of testing with real people all around the world
06:54And we've actually slightly improved the ergonomics of this controller
06:57And made it just, like, ever so slightly smaller
06:59So that it feels even more comfortable in more people's hand sizes
07:02Which is awesome
07:03And really, kind of, making gaming more accessible to more people
07:05Which we love doing, for sure
07:07Love that
07:07So, the D-pad, I know, inspired by the Elite Series 2
07:10Yeah
07:10You've got textured grips
07:11And on the triggers and bumpers, that's pretty cool
07:13But I know one thing that I love to do is share my experiences in the games
07:17Even if they're terrible, like they usually are in multiplayer games
07:20But I know it's quicker than ever to share directly from the Xbox wireless controller, right?
07:24Yeah, for sure
07:25So, right here on the controller, we have a new button
07:28And it's called the share button
07:29And it's super useful
07:30All I have to do is just tap it once to capture a screenshot
07:35Or press and hold it to capture a game clip
07:37And what this really does is let me keep my focus on the games
07:40When something awesome happens and I'm, like, totally freaking out
07:43And I need to actually capture that clip
07:44I don't have to take my attention away from the game
07:46I don't have to go into some other menu
07:47I just hit that share button right there and it's automatically captured
07:50Nice, and we've been talking about speed a lot
07:52Not only is it faster than ever to actually take a clip or a screenshot
07:55But also now it's faster to actually share it to your friends on social media, right?
07:59Yeah, for sure
08:00So when it comes time to share it, I really just go to my phone
08:02I break up my phone
08:03So once I've captured that clip
08:05It, you know, automatically gets uploaded to Xbox Live
08:07And is available for sharing
08:08I'll get a notification right here on my phone
08:10That says, hey, you've got a new screenshot that's ready to share
08:13And then I can just share that out to any of my friends or networks that my phone knows about
08:17Like the phone is kind of like the ultimate sharing tool
08:19Like it knows about, you know, all the different places that I want to share
08:21So really, I love that we're kind of making this whole process seamless and completing that here
08:26Nice, and then in that Xbox app, I know there's new features that have been redesigned
08:30Walk us through that
08:31This is the new Xbox mobile app
08:33And we've actually totally rebuilt this app from the ground up
08:36In anticipation of the Series X and S launch
08:39So this is actually the app that you're going to use to set up your new console on day one
08:44You're going to be able to use it to log in your Microsoft account
08:46Put in your WiFi password
08:47Set up all your settings while your console is taking that day one update
08:50And then after that, your console is really, like, just linked directly to your phone
08:54So now, you know, I can just interact with my console right from my phone
08:57So if I'm, you know, out anywhere in the world
08:59And I, you know, get really inspired about a particular game that I want to go check out
09:03I can go and search for it right here and remotely download it to my console
09:06So when I get home, it's all ready to play
09:09Also, if I don't, you know, if I just can't wait until I get home to play
09:12And I really need to get some gaming in
09:14We also have a brand new feature called Remote Play
09:16Which is awesome
09:17And basically, this lets you be able to remotely play any game that's installed on my console here
09:23Via the Xbox app
09:24And all I have to do is just connect my Xbox wireless controller up to my phone
09:28And then I'm just up and playing right here
09:29I love that
09:30So your experience with the Xbox doesn't end with the TV and the console
09:33It extends to your phone, and that is pretty dope
09:35Okay, so let's find more games
09:37I know Xbox Game Pass is a great way to discover your next favorite game
09:40And directly from home, we actually have content blocks and Xbox Game Pass is one of them
09:44So, let's talk about that
09:45So, as I was saying earlier, really one of the things that we want the dashboard and home to be
09:49able to do
09:50Is to help you find that next thing to play, help you find that next game
09:53So when you're kind of going around looking for inspiration and you're browsing around the dashboard
09:57And Game Pass is a big part of that
09:58And we've really built that into the experience
10:01And when I go down from the top of home here, you can see the Game Pass block
10:05And you can check out all of our featured titles
10:07What's been added to the Game Pass catalog recently
10:09When I click into it, you sort of get the full experience
10:12And get to look at the full breadth of the catalog here
10:16Be able to go in here, check out the details about one of these games
10:19Be able to kick it off for an install if it's looking cool
10:22Nice, and of course on November 10th, we have a huge addition to Xbox Game Pass, right?
10:26Yeah, on November 10th, launch day for these consoles, we are adding EA Play to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
10:33Which gives you access to all those games that are in the EA Play catalog
10:36All the games, all the trials, and you can just play them right here if you have Ultimate
10:40So that give me access to Titanfall 2?
10:42It will give you access to Titanfall 2
10:43Yeah, Harrison, you just made my day, I'm super excited
10:45So of course, if a game is not an Xbox Game Pass, you just want to purchase it
10:49Then you go over to the Xbox Store, which I hear has been redesigned, of course, to speed
10:53Yeah, definitely
10:54So I'll just pop right into the store here
10:56And the first thing that we really focus on with the new store is speed and performance
11:00And we wanted to make sure that it is as fast as possible for you to get into the store
11:04And to be able to search for games and find something that you want to play
11:07So you saw how fast that launched
11:10You can see, as we're sort of going around here, how quick the user interface is to navigate here
11:16If I want to check out more details about a game, maybe I want to see Assassin's Creed Valhalla
11:20I can click into it, check out the details page here, see trailers, information about the game
11:25And kind of everything that I need to decide whether or not I want to buy it
11:28Nice, and of course that speed also translates to the download speeds, which I hear are improved on both the
11:32consoles
11:32Yeah, we have brand new advanced networking hardware in both of these consoles
11:37That lets us take more full advantage of your home internet connection when you're downloading games
11:41So you're not going to be bumping up against those hardware-restricted caps anymore on those downloads
11:49And we'll be able to more fully take advantage of that connection
11:51And get you those games faster than ever
11:53That is dope, and of course to see all your games, you would head over to MyGamesAndApps
11:58Which I know has improvements on displaying the games, but also on showcasing where those games came from, right?
12:03Yeah, definitely, so if I dive into MyGamesAndApps
12:05Like this is really, you know, where I go to see all the games that are installed on my console
12:09as well
12:09To kind of see the games that I have access to as well
12:11So, just sort of coming into here, these are all the games that I have installed here
12:16You can see kind of how fast all this is loading
12:19You'll also notice that we have some badges on some of these tiles here
12:23That tell you which subscription these games are coming from
12:25So you see Burnout Paradise Remastered coming from EA Play
12:28Doom Eternal as well as the Outer Worlds coming in from Game Pass
12:32And it's just really nice to be able to scroll through here
12:34And just kind of see exactly where everything's coming from
12:36Yep, and all of those services obviously bring in more games than ever
12:39And you may need a little bit of extra space
12:42So little birdie told me that you have one of those new Seagate Storage expansions with you
12:45I do, right here
12:47So, this is the Seagate 1TB storage expansion card
12:52And, I mean, this thing is really just like a marvel of engineering
12:55The first thing that, the first time that I saw this I was just totally blown away
12:59So, full terabyte of storage right in here
13:01It plugs directly into the back of the console
13:03And this storage is actually just as fast as, you know, our crazy fast NVMe SSD that we have inside
13:09the console
13:10So that means that you're going to get those same load times
13:12You're going to get Quick Resume, you're going to get to be able to, you know, play Xbox Series X
13:18and S games directly off of this drive
13:19But then also there's an option if maybe you need to store more games with regular USB, right?
13:25Yeah, for sure
13:25So, especially, you know, if you're looking to play backwards compatible games like Xbox One, Xbox 360 or original Xbox
13:31games
13:31You can just plug in a USB hard drive like you do today and play any of those games off
13:36of here
13:36And then, you know, save your faster SSD storage for those next-gen games
13:41I love that, now that's the first time that I'm seeing it
