00:00My name is Diane Griffiths. I paint night paintings of everyday scenes. When I heard about
00:05the Newquay Muriel Door Trail, I knew it was a great opportunity to bring that right into the
00:10centre of town. So this design, it was actually quite easy to come up with because it had to be
00:15something that was really recognisable to locals and to visitors, right? I wanted something that
00:20people could instantly recognise. Also the location in Bank Street, we are so close to the island,
00:25town, beach and the harbour. So it just felt like a natural location to use. We did have one
00:30particularly bad night where there was a lot of wind and rain, so there was damage and I had to
00:34go
00:34and fix that. When I was painting it, I had so many people stop already and give amazing comments and
00:39encouragement. So it just reminded me how fantastic the community is here in Newquay. I think it just
00:44brightens up the town, a splash of colour, and it also gives artists a chance to have their work
00:51seen by so many more people in such a great way. So I just want to thank Newquay Beard for
00:56organising
00:56this trail. It's a brilliant opportunity and I also want to thank EE for the collaboration and
01:02allowing me to paint on this large gate.
