00:52Out on the front porch
00:54Come on, let's explore
00:57There's so much to learn about
01:00Up, up, up, up
01:01In our treehouse
01:04E and Mr. Kirk
01:06E and Mr. Kirk
01:08Spend all day in the treehouse playing
01:11E and Mr. Kirk
01:13So I'll go on one more adventure
01:15With E and Mr. Kirk
01:17E and Mr. Kirk
01:21Hooray!
01:31What is that noise?
01:34Is someone jumping on a sick goat?
01:39Oh, you're practicing the trumpet?
01:42Oh, well, so you can put on a surprise show
01:47For Iggy and Mr. Kirk
01:49It sounds terrible
01:55If I were you
01:57I wouldn't practice in the treehouse
01:59Unless you want everyone to laugh at you
02:03Oh, I so love the sound of squirrels scampering
02:09Now, uh
02:11What is that delicious smell?
02:14Oh, could it be snacks?
02:18Oh, no, Mr. Kirk
02:20I'd better skedaddle
02:25Hey, brave explorers
02:27I brought up some fresh snacks for our treehouse
02:32That was a strange noise
02:34I wonder what that was
02:38Sometimes strange noises can be scary
02:41Have you ever been scared by a strange noise?
02:45But you know what?
02:47I've learned that we can follow the clues
02:49To find out where it's coming from
02:51And then we don't have to be afraid
02:56Iggy!
02:57Sidney!
02:58I got snacks!
03:00Yay!
03:01Thanks, Mr. Kirk
03:02I think we need some more pretzels
03:05I'll be right back
03:10Oh, yes
03:11This is the perfect opportunity
03:13Now, how do I convince Iggy and Sidney
03:16To give me those snacks?
03:20Oh, dear
03:21Mr. Kirk is so brave
03:23I do hope he is okay out there
03:27What?
03:28Why wouldn't he be okay?
03:29Oh
03:30Because of the snack monster
03:34Snack monster!
03:36Nice triculture
03:38But we both know
03:39There's no such thing as a snack monster
03:41Yeah, there's no such thing as a snack
03:45What's a snack monster?
03:47The snack monster lives deep in the forest
03:49All year long he sleeps
03:52But one day a year
03:54He wakes up
03:55And goes hunting for snacks
03:59Nothing is safe from the snack monster
04:02And if you get in his way
04:04Then whammo!
04:06You might just become a snack too
04:11I know you made all that up
04:17What was that?
04:19Oh, well
04:20It sounds like the snack monster
04:23He must be getting close
04:25Oh
04:25Where are you going?
04:28Oh
04:29I don't want to be around when he gets here
04:32And if you were smart
04:34You'd put all your snacks outside
04:37So he doesn't get you
04:39Oh, goodbye
04:41I hope you don't become his next snack
04:48Same old culture
04:49Playing tricks on us
04:52But Iggy
04:54If culture was playing tricks
04:56How did he make the sound
04:58When he was with us?
05:01I don't know
05:03Run!
05:05Run!
05:14This is bad, Iggy
05:16Real bad
05:17I know
05:17What do we do?
05:19Well, someone has to get rid of those snacks
05:22So the snack monster doesn't come inside
05:24Yeah
05:25Somebody has to
05:28Iggy, you do it
05:29You're the lizard of the house
05:30Me, but you're older
05:32Only by three days
05:35Fine
05:38Iggy
05:39Oh, yeah?
05:40If the snack monster gets you
05:42Can I have your scooter?
05:53What am I doing?
05:55This is silly
05:58Oh, hey, Carlos
06:00Is that you?
06:03Why are you hiding from me, Carlos?
06:05Come back
06:06I just
06:16Sidney, the snack monster
06:18Carlos, it's
06:19It got him
06:20Yes
06:21Oh, no
06:22He was my fourth favorite squirrel friend
06:25Oh, no
06:27Oh, no
06:28Oh, no
06:29It's snowman
06:29It's snowman
06:30It's snowman
06:30It's snowman
06:32It's snowman
06:33Hello
06:34Hi, mailman Dan
06:36Is that a package for me?
06:39Is everything okay?
06:40Yeah
06:41Yeah, I thought I heard a weird noise coming from the tree house
06:45A weird noise
06:47Let's go check it out
06:55Hmm
06:56I don't see any sign of
06:58Snack monster
06:59Snack monster
07:08Snack monster
07:20Mr. Kirk, is that you?
07:22Yep, it's me.
07:25Now that was a close one.
07:29What's this about a snack monster?
07:31You've never heard of a snack monster before?
07:34Everyone knows about him.
07:36Once a year, he wakes up and eats all your snacks.
07:39If you saw him eat Carlos!
07:41Yeah.
07:43Wow, you actually saw that?
07:45Well, I didn't exactly see him eat Carlos.
07:48I just saw Carlos disappear and then heard that terrible sound.
07:52Sound?
07:56There's got to be a great explanation for that.
08:00Like what?
08:02Could be an injured moose or a sick elephant up in the trees.
08:11I don't know about that, but Mailman Dan is right.
08:15There's a good explanation for this, and I guarantee it's not a snack monster.
08:20But I saw Carlos disappear.
08:22Don't let the snack monster get him!
08:25Hey, hey, I know all these things are strange, but before we start imagining all sorts of scary things, let's
08:32take a minute and think reasonably.
08:37Come on, Sidney, think reasonably, think reasonably, think reasonably, it's not working, I'm still scared.
08:45Well, it's reasonable to believe that if Mr. Kirk is here, he can protect us, so we don't need to
08:53be scared right now.
08:54That's exactly right, Iggy.
08:57I have an idea.
08:58How about we read our new book?
09:01I have a feeling it might help us solve the snack monster mystery.
09:05Well, that's my cue.
09:08I'll see you later.
09:09But don't be afraid.
09:11If Mr. Kirk says there's no snack monster, I believe him.
09:16Bye, mailman Dan.
09:27I'm okay!
09:29Stairs are the other direction!
09:32What could be better than reading a brave book together?
09:38Okay.
09:41This one is called The Adventures of Seymour Clues and Mr. Mouse, The Case of the Mysterious Sea Monster.
09:49Ooh, a monster! I hope this isn't like the snack monster.
09:54Oh, no need to worry, Iggy. This one actually isn't scary.
09:58Oh.
09:59It was Tuesday. I've never liked Tuesdays.
10:03Tuesdays are the type of day that you figure out your favorite shops out of doggy treats.
10:07And I need my daily doggy treat.
10:10But this Tuesday was especially rough.
10:12I could tell something was up when the fish sellers caught next to nothing.
10:16The halls were hardly big enough to make a meal for a mouse.
10:19Speaking of mice, there was my old friend Mr. Mouse chatting with a fish seller.
10:24Say, Billy.
10:25He was asking.
10:26Are these the only fish you've caught?
10:27Billy nodded his big, horned head.
10:30These are the only fish I could catch without getting in my boat.
10:33Ever since the recent development, we're all too skittish to go far out into the water.
10:40Mr. Mouse leaned forward on his cane.
10:42What recent development? What are you afraid of?
10:45The sea monster, of course, I said, tipping my hat.
10:49But don't let the stories scare you.
10:52Quiet, Seymour Clues.
10:54Mr. Mouse smiled and shook my paw.
10:57Billy shivered.
10:58But the stories are true.
11:00I've seen the shadows of the monster's huge wings in the fog.
11:05Gives me the heebie-jeebies it does.
11:07I soon noticed a couple of thugs behind us.
11:10Hey, fellas.
11:11What are you doing with those giant saw blades there?
11:14They glared.
11:15Keep your ugly nose out of our business, doggo.
11:18You're barking up the wrong tree.
11:20My tail began to wag.
11:22This recent development had me curious.
11:26And when something makes Seymour Clues curious,
11:29you know this old hound dog's gonna sniff it out.
11:33Something here smelled fishy.
11:35And it wasn't Billy's fish.
11:39When I've got something on my mind,
11:41I always find my way to the chocolate bar sooner or later.
11:45Shelly's the owner,
11:46and she's just as sweet as her island-famous hot chocolate.
11:50Of course, she's always doing eight things at once.
11:52But she hears more of the local news
11:54than any reporter on the block.
11:56When Mr. Mouse and I walked in
11:58on this particular Tuesday night,
12:00Shelly waved this over and served up the usual.
12:03I wonder what the usual is.
12:05Do you think it's hot chocolate?
12:07Could be.
12:08Seymour looks like a black coffee kind of guy,
12:10but let's see.
12:12Here you go.
12:13Two hot chocolates and a side scoop of the local happiness.
12:17Mr. Mouse grinned through his whipped cream mustache.
12:20Just how we like it?
12:22Shelly leaned in.
12:23Have you heard how dangerous the ocean has gotten?
12:26Fish Sellers is saying there's a monster that calls to them
12:29like a siren song luring them to their death.
12:32She shuddered.
12:34Also, a camel came by,
12:36saying that things are worse here in Grey Landing
12:38than when Lester the Pirate stole tarps from his caravan.
12:43Mr. Mouse set his mug down.
12:45So no one is brave enough to sail the ocean.
12:48Shelly shook her head.
12:49Mayor Tony's saying that if any animal sets out to fish,
12:53the monster will attack all of Grey Landing.
12:56Rumor has it.
12:57The mayor's making a rule tomorrow,
13:00saying no one can sail further than the docks.
13:04That's awful.
13:05Mr. Mouse shook his head.
13:06It was more than awful.
13:08It was worse than getting jammed in a doggy door two sizes too small.
13:13I flipped a couple of coins to Shelly.
13:15It was time for a little chat with the mayor.
13:19Everybody knows Mayor Tony spends his Tuesday evenings at the sunken schooner.
13:23The schooner used to be the biggest ship on the high seas.
13:27Now it's become the swankiest spot for anybody who's anybody.
13:30They come for the seafood,
13:32but they stay for the band and for Rose,
13:35a fox with the finest set of pipes in town.
13:38When the mayor saw us coming, he grinned a wide, greasy grin.
13:42Can I help you, gentlemen?
13:44Mr. Mouse scampered onto the table.
13:47What can you tell us about this sea monster?
13:49Terrible, isn't it?
13:51Mayor Tony shook his head.
13:52I feel just awful for the animals who can't find fish anymore.
13:57I raised an eyebrow.
13:59That's a pretty big red herring you're eating, Mr. Mayor.
14:02It's awfully odd when everybody else only has little minnows.
14:06A couple of kangaroos hopped behind me.
14:09They weren't smiling.
14:11We think it's time you let the mayor have his supper.
14:14I nodded to Mr. Mouse and we stepped out.
14:18Rats.
14:19Mr. Mouse groaned.
14:20I was hoping to get to the bottom of the sea monster business.
14:23But we did.
14:24I wrapped myself deeper in my coat as we strolled into the fog.
14:28It's as clear as a crystal if you paid attention.
14:31Let's go for a little boat ride, shall we?
14:34Mr. Mouse looked up at the looming wall of fog.
14:38But, but Seymour, aren't you scared?
14:40Of course not.
14:42Why would I be?
14:43Everyone else is scared.
14:45There's a sea monster out there.
14:46Oh, its bark is worse than its bite.
14:49Don't you see?
14:50The case is cracked.
14:52The sea monster's actually, huh?
14:57Iggy, do you know who the sea monster really was?
15:01I'm not sure.
15:02The sea monster's actually a pirate ship.
15:06A pirate ship?
15:07Ah, this explains everything.
15:10Yes.
15:11The wings were easy to figure out when I saw that pirates had stolen camel tarps.
15:15I knew for sure it was Lester when I noticed the missing oboe at the sunken schooner.
15:20And remembered the way Shelly described the noise, Lester does love his instruments.
15:26But what did Mayor Tony have to do with this?
15:28Mr. Mouse asked.
15:30Clearly, Mayor Tony was scaring everyone away from the ocean so that, in return, Lester would
15:36give him all the big fish.
15:37Aha!
15:38That's why the fish sellers were only catching minnows.
15:41Mr. Mouse jumped up faster than spring on a mouse trap.
15:45Why didn't I see it all before?
15:47All that's left is to confront these scoundrels.
15:51Hey, you with the oboe!
15:54Mr. Mouse called towards the ship.
15:55Lester the pirate jumped in surprise, dropping the stolen instrument.
16:00Oh no!
16:01My oboe!
16:01Mm-hmm!
16:03He squeaked.
16:04You've been caught, the hearties.
16:06Time to take off.
16:07Before Mr. Mouse and I could make a move, a massive ship spread its newly installed wings
16:12and launched into the air, flying toward Freedom Island.
16:17Back on the docks, we explained the whole mystery of the sea monster.
16:21Everybody felt rather silly for being tricked when they hadn't even checked the facts.
16:26Mr. Mouse turned to Mayor Tony.
16:28Care to make a statement, Mr. Mayor?
16:30The rat gulped and dashed off, but a couple cool cats caught him pretty quick.
16:36I just have one question.
16:38Mr. Mouse turned to me.
16:39What were the mayor's kangaroos doing with those saw blades on the docks?
16:43The mayor must have given them to Lester for all of the big fish.
16:47And now, that evil pirate's headed straight towards Skytree with the saw blades.
16:52Mr. Mouse, he'll have to run.
16:55Find Team Brave.
16:56This may be their chance to stop those pirates once and for all.
17:02The end.
17:05Wow!
17:05So all along, there wasn't a sea monster.
17:08It was all made up.
17:10That's right.
17:11And I have a suspicion that if we act like Seymour and follow the clues, we might get to the
17:19bottom of the mystery of the snack monster.
17:22What do you say?
17:23Should we investigate?
17:25I don't know.
17:27I'm still kind of scared.
17:29Well, remember, I'm here.
17:31I'll make sure nothing happens to you.
17:33Okay, as long as you're with us.
17:36Yeah, and as long as we don't have to go outside.
17:40Okay, let's do this.
17:59Very interesting, my dear Iggy.
18:02And Madam Sidney.
18:03Uh-huh.
18:05Yes, very interesting indeed.
18:10Let's find some clues.
18:13Hmm.
18:16Hmm.
18:18Hmm.
18:19Ah-ha!
18:23Ah-ha!
18:25Hmm.
18:26It looks like acorns and sheet music.
18:30Very unusual.
18:32Wait, wait.
18:34I've got it.
18:35You do?
18:35Yeah, the Snackbuster's an opera singing oak tree.
18:41Hmm.
18:43Or not.
18:44Yeah, yeah.
18:45Never mind.
18:45I don't got it.
18:47Maple!
18:50Well, I guess we'll finish later.
19:02Well, well, well, well.
19:04What have we here?
19:05A couple of junior detectives, I see.
19:08Have you caught the Snack Monster yet?
19:10No, but I hope we solve it.
19:13The Snack Monster can't get away with this.
19:15Well, I'm certain you'll crack this case in no time.
19:18Until then, I have a boy named Juan that needs your help.
19:22Are you ready to push that blue button, Iggy?
19:24Don't have to ask me twice.
19:26Whoop-a!
19:27Hey, Mr. Kirk, Iggy and Sidney.
19:30Hey, Juan.
19:31What's going on?
19:32I'm scared because my nightlight broke and I have to go to bed soon.
19:35In my room, it's so dark.
19:38Oh, no, you're scared of the dark?
19:41Yes, super scared.
19:42It's the worst.
19:43And I can see a scary shadow that looks like a monster claw.
19:49I used to be super scared of the dark, too, when I was a kid.
19:53Wow, really?
19:54Then what did you do?
19:55He grew a beard and got super tough.
20:00Growing a beard isn't what helped me overcome my fears.
20:04Then what did?
20:05I prayed.
20:06And that fixed everything?
20:08Well, no.
20:09I was still afraid for a long time.
20:12What?
20:13Yeah, I was still scared.
20:14But you know what?
20:16Over time, something started to change.
20:19In asking God for His help and reading about His promises in the Bible,
20:24slowly I started to focus less on the scary stuff and more on God.
20:29I started thinking about how powerful God is,
20:33that He is in charge, and that He loves me.
20:36And then one day I went to bed and found I wasn't scared of the dark anymore.
20:41Yay!
20:42But I was still scared of other things sometimes.
20:45No!
20:46But the more I prayed and brought my worries to God,
20:50the easier they were to deal with.
20:52Can you help me ask God for help?
20:55I sure can.
20:57Dear Lord, please help Juan to be brave.
21:02And help him to see that there's nothing to be afraid of in the dark.
21:06And most of all, help him to trust you.
21:10Amen.
21:12Wow, thanks, Mr. Kirk.
21:14I think I'm ready for bed now.
21:15I got this.
21:17You're welcome.
21:18It was great chatting with you.
21:20Oh, Mr. Kirk's right.
21:22We can't let our imaginations run wild,
21:24and we can't hide in here forever.
21:26We have to investigate outside.
21:30Are you sure?
21:32We need to for Carlos.
21:36You're right.
21:37Let's do this for Carlos.
21:48Dr. Mr. Kirk, Madam Sidney, I have it.
21:53You have what?
21:54The answer to who took the snacks.
21:58You do?
21:59Who was it?
22:00Spill the beans.
22:02There was never a monster.
22:04All this time it was...
22:06Pause for dramatic effect.
22:10Culture the vulture!
22:13But how?
22:15Elementary, my dear Sidney.
22:17I suspected culture made up the whole snack monster story to trick us.
22:24But I couldn't prove it until I found these black feathers.
22:29And if we follow the trail,
22:32I suspect they'll lead right to our snack monster.
22:39Too many pretzels.
22:42But wait, what about that scary sound?
22:45That definitely didn't come from culture.
22:48Oh, yes, the sound.
22:50When I came out on the porch earlier,
22:53I saw Carlos holding a trumpet.
22:57And then later, Mr. Kirk found the nuts next to the sheet music.
23:02I believe Carlos must be learning to play a musical instrument.
23:09Oh, great investigating, Dr. Iggy.
23:12You've solved the mystery.
23:14Thanks, Dr. Mr. Kirk.
23:16I mean, thanks, Dr. Mr. Kirk.
23:20I couldn't have done it without you and Madam Sidney.
23:24Whoa, Carlos is a musician.
23:28Carlos, can you hear me?
23:32Carlos, are you okay?
23:35You're not eaten.
23:39Yeah!
23:52Wow, that was a lot of fun.
23:55I can't believe I thought Carlos was the snack monster.
23:59That was so silly.
24:01What was I thinking?
24:03Sometimes, when we don't stop and think,
24:06our imaginations can get carried away.
24:08Hey, that's why it's so important to bring our worries to God.
24:12That's for sure.
24:16May the Lord bless you and keep you, Iggy.
24:19And be gracious unto you and give you peace.
24:23I love you.
24:25I love you.
24:28And good night, brave explorers.
24:37Tomorrow we'll be back
24:41To face the day unafraid
24:45To learn new things, explore and play
24:49Sing and praise
24:52But it's night time now
24:56As we lay our heads to rest
25:00Feeling grateful and blessed
25:04To have this time together
25:08Because that always makes it better
25:12Sleep tight, good night
25:42Music playing
