01:05The second way is via recruit.
01:11Choose one Pokémon to recruit once per day
01:14from a random selection of Pokémon that appear in the game.
01:20Recruited Pokémon can only be used in Pokémon Champions
01:24for a certain amount of time.
01:33After you've gathered your Pokémon,
01:36choose six of them and form your team.
01:42Before battle, you'll be able to see your opponent's team
01:45and vice versa
01:47and choose the Pokémon you want to use for the impending match.
01:52Consider which Pokémon your opponent will use.
01:55Then, select your own Pokémon to start the battle.
02:08Players alternate turns with moves.
02:11Win by reducing the HP of all your opponent's Pokémon to zero.
02:19If you're in a bind,
02:20you can swap one Pokémon for another.
02:26Or use Mega Evolution to power up your Pokémon.
02:30The decisions you make could influence the tide of battle.

02:36certain Pokémon will gain abilities brand new to the series.

02:53Or have Pokémon fight two-on-two in double battles.

03:08In ranked battles,
03:10test your skills against evenly matched trainers.
03:15And aim for the highest rank.
03:18In casual battles,
03:20wins and losses aren't recorded,
03:22so you can enjoy matches however you'd like.
03:26And in private battles,
03:28create a room
03:28and battle against anyone with the Room ID.
03:32There are also in-game online competitions
03:35in which you'll battle
03:36with preset rules that change every season.
03:43Engage in battles to earn victory points
03:45or VP.
03:50Here's how to use VP.
03:56You can swap the moves a Pokémon can learn,
04:02change its nature,
04:06modify its abilities,
04:09and more.
04:12The stat points of a Pokémon can also be adjusted.
04:17For example,
04:19you could increase attack and speed to boost offense.
04:29or raise HP and defense to withstand attacks.
04:39Pokémon can be easily trained to your liking,
04:41so try out different ways to battle.
04:50You can only recruit once per day,
04:52but by using VP,
04:54you can recruit multiple times.
04:57Keep in mind that recruited Pokémon are only available for one week,
05:01but with VP,
05:03any recruited Pokémon will be permanently added.
05:15In the shop,
05:16spend VP to purchase held items,
05:18or Megastones for your Pokémon.
05:25You can also get clothing,
05:27and looks for your trainer,
