00:03In Ancestors you have to explore, expand and evolve.
00:10You have to explore your environment, expand your clan,
00:13to eventually evolve into a new specie.
00:23You're not one Ancestors, you're not the hero of the entire human race,
00:29you're a clan. It's about clan, family, that lineage needs to go through time
00:36and eventually evolve into another specie.
00:40So you can play as a baby, you can play as an adult, you can play as an elder.
00:45You're controlling one character inside a clan, and your clan is what needs to survive.
00:53So you need to find what we call outsiders.
00:57So there is some other clan members that are lost, if you will,
01:02and you need to help them out.
01:04So if they're hungry, thirsty, if they're poisoned, you can bring them the antidote,
01:13and they'll say, oh, thank you buddy, I'm joining your clan.
01:17You can mate, have babies, and continue the specie.
01:21At first, the jungle is your known and secure and paradise environment.
01:30At the same time, you cannot stay there for too long,
01:33because resources will deplete, your clan will eat,
01:38and eventually there won't be anything to eat.
01:40And since you need to eat, drink, and sleep in order to survive,
01:43eventually your clan member will die out of starvation if you don't move.
01:49And so I'll go back, and then we'll explore together as a clan.
02:00Fear is really an important feature of the game.
02:03We feel fear as soon as you're a baby and you're far away from your clan.
02:09But also, when you go into unknown territories,
02:12and this is done through a system of dopamine.
02:16If you have enough dopamine, you can go through your fear.
02:20Now I've got two choices.
02:22I can go back, stay in my little paradise,
02:26or I can say, no, let's be curious and see what's on the other side of this.
02:30And eventually, the more knowledge I know about this area,
02:33eventually I'll be able to go further and claim this territory.
02:37and conquer my fear.
