00:05Hey, what's up guys? I'm Justin Wong. I'm going to show you some tips with Dudley.
00:10Everyone knows that he's a Street Fighter III character.
00:13His playstyle transferred to this game is really, really different since there's no parry system.
00:19They gave him all his tools that he used to have except for the crouching roundhouse six-time juggle system
00:25against certain characters only. You can only do it two times in this one.
00:28But besides that, he still has all his target combos.
00:44But the best thing about his target combos is that they're super cancelable.
00:51Like, the main bread and butter that everyone always uses is that one, which is light kick,
00:57medium kick, and medium punch, than heavy punch.
01:02So, if you do, after you press heavy punch, you're able to buffer it into a super.
01:17My favorite target combo is probably the two-hit one, where you start from crouching light kick
01:21into standing medium kick.
01:23Just because it's the only target combo that is special move cancelable with Dudley.
01:29So, you can do crouching light kick, standing medium kick, into any type of special move.
01:37But besides that, Dudley, they also gave Dudley a lot of Street Fighter IV type of combos.
01:43Like, you're able to do links like low jab, low jab, into low strong.
01:50And they're all special move cancelable.
01:58Besides that, he also has typical, like, combos with jabs into fierce.
02:07So, it makes him really, really good, because since his jab is really fast, he's able to combo
02:12off of, like, if someone tries to tick throw you, so you're like, oh, I'm scared.
02:16Instead of trying to tick throw back, and you encounter with a jab, you can do.
02:21And what's even better is that the Furious is super cancelable.
02:30But what makes Dudley a really, really good character is that his many ways into comboing
02:35his, um, his corkscrew blow ultra.
02:39And basically, you can compare it to, like, how Rufus is able to combo in many ways, Dudley
02:44can do it also.
02:45A couple ways to combo is the generic jet upper focus cancel dash forward into ultra.
02:57Or you can do, you don't even need to focus cancel, you can do regular jab upper cut, like
03:03use it to ultra.
03:04It's a tighter timing, but you can get it with, with practice.
03:11Other than that, he, another way he can combo it off is after his EX machine gun punch.
03:28Another way to do it is off of, um, his Crouching Roundhouse, which is basically the sweep and
03:34third strike.
03:36But you can only do it two times.
03:44If you don't want to do two Crouching Roundhouse, you can do Crouching Roundhouse into the sway,
03:47and then press light kick to activate the second part of the move, into ultra also.
03:56Now, my favorite way to do the ultra is because, my favorite way to do it is off of the
04:01EX backwards
04:03blow, where it's done quarter circle back kick.
04:08And if you focus cancel the last hit, you're able, focus cancel the last hit forward, you're
04:14able to do a, a full ultra animation.
04:20It's called a screw!
04:28But now, some of his, uh, mind game tricks is like, if you get a knock, a knockdown, you're
04:34able to go two options, or three options.
04:38A throw again, a low, with a low target combo for that, or the overhead.
04:45So what makes the overhead really powerful is that if they're crouching, you can cancel
04:51into a super.
04:52So in this position, if they knock them down, the opponent is always start crouching because
04:59they don't want to guess, guess wrong in the mix-up.
05:01So you can either throw from this position, dash forward, get close to them before they
05:06wake up, and then either do low and to the mid, which, which is special move canceable,
05:13or you can do overhead, oops, wrong one.
05:18You can do overhead, which is super, and what else, what else that makes Dolly really good
05:28is that his towards medium kick, this gut punch right here, has a lot of frame advantage.
05:34So you're able to do a lot of cool stuff, like, right from here, if they're blocking,
05:40or they get hit, you can do this.
05:41And then some of their old third strike tactics was to grab, or do the backwards blow, just
05:49because, like, you want, they could have flinched, or you could have just done go one of the low
05:54target combos.
05:57But what makes it different in Street Fighter IV is that if it hits, you're able to combo
06:01it after it, while in third strike you're, you aren't able to.
06:05So you're able to do towards medium kick, it's a low jab, into low strong, or back to the standing
06:12fierce.
06:25And if you want to do some last minute type of tricks, one of the moves that a lot of
06:31people
06:31don't remember that Dolly used to have in Street Fighter III, before third strike, was a flash kick move.
06:38He does, like, some superman type of dive, like that, and it's able to cross up just like
06:44Honda's butt splash, but what makes it really more useful is that if you know the person, you can
06:49tell the person blocks it, you're able to focus cancel out of it backwards, just to be safe, so they
06:56can't punish you. Okay everyone, that is a quick look of Dolly, one of the returning characters from
07:01and third strike into Super Street Fighter IV.
07:04you
