03:42They're so collaborative and kind and actually listen and take on feedback.

03:54It's hard to explain the dynamic because it's so special.
03:59Even the fact like it sounds so silly, but like we still have our group chat and like
04:03every day Sam texted a song on the way to set and then, you know, Matt would send a song
04:07or I'd send a song.
04:08There was just an energy there.
04:10And I think if you watch this movie and all of Matt and Tyler's movies, they have the best
04:15performances from actors, like very unexpected casting choices.
04:18They pick really cool people who deliver, I think everyone, and I know I'll speak for myself.
04:25I feel like when you work with someone who is empowering like that, you can over deliver.
04:30You like try harder.
04:31I was inspired to try things and that's because of them.
04:35They let us be weird too.
04:37Do you know what I mean?
04:38They weren't trying us to make us mainstream or make us polished.
04:43They were like, yeah, get weird, get messy, make some strange decisions.
04:48And even like the hair and makeup, like even my hair up like that, like I feel like you
04:52see in movies, people look really polished and really put together and they didn't do
04:56that.
04:56They really are interested in the characters and keeping it real.
05:00I think that's why this, they're so good.
05:03I can't wait to see what they do.

06:09You have Samar weaving and Sarah Michelle Gellar in a movie and it's like Sarah's like,

06:17I think we're one big community and Sarah stepping into this universe is just a nod to the whole
06:23community.
06:24We're a little like in a club, you know, and we're all blonde, so.
06:30Like, there's a lot of blonde in the movie.

06:38It's a lot of, it's the hair shot.

06:42The other thing that is a big standout in the movie is the incredible action sequences,
06:46the stunts, the craziness, the madness, without spoiling anything.
06:49Or if you explain it, I won't get in trouble.
06:51But when you sort of read the script, was there a moment for each of you where you went,
06:56I cannot wait to be a part of that.
06:58It looks insane and I can't wait to do it.

07:03What's interesting is a month before we were meant to film.
07:07This is a good one.
07:08I basically broke my back and I couldn't walk.
07:12I couldn't move.
07:13On the airplane, I couldn't, yeah, I couldn't.
07:17I was on so many painkillers.
07:19I just had to lie on the ground during rehearsals.
07:23Fittings and everything.
07:24They did all my makeup.
07:25I was lying down.
07:26So we were so scared that I wasn't going to be able to do anything.
07:30We thought we were going to have to put, like, it was, it got really gnarly.
07:34And then two days before we started shooting, I swear my body just knew it had to just get
07:39it shit together and the swelling on my spinal cord went down and I could walk again.
07:45And so in my state at the time, I was reading these stunt scenes, really just panicked going,
07:55how am I going to do this?
07:58They're going to have to use the stunt doubles for everything.
08:01And then just a closeup of my face going.
08:05So the fact that I could just walk and let alone run and fight was, yeah.
08:11And you ended up doing everything.
08:13And I ended up doing everything.
08:14Because the horror god shined upon us and fueled Samara to get better.
08:20It was weird, no?
08:21No, it was really weird.
08:22You know it's bad on set when everyone's silent.
08:25And, like, I remember, like, the screen test day, like, you came in, like, hey, guys.
08:31And Matt and Tyler, everyone's just like, hmm.
08:34Like, I was seriously worried.
08:37So stressed.
08:38Yeah, it was really, really stressful.
08:39No, I didn't know what movie I signed up for.
08:42I thought it was a comedy.
08:43I thought it was, like, a buddy comedy.
08:45Like, good cop, bad cop thing.
08:47Not at all.
08:47And then the screen test or the camera test happened and they put some blood on me and
08:52they're like, that's good, right?
08:53And then Tyler was like, give it to me.
08:56And then he just poured blood all over me.
08:58And I was like, right, this is the movie we're making.
09:02Welcome.
09:03Forgot what I was dealing with.
09:05So, no, I had no idea what to expect.
09:07And the movie was genuinely way more intense than I thought.
09:10Like, day one.
09:11It is funny.
09:11Sometimes you read something and you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
09:13And then it's, like, half a page.
09:16And then you realize, wait, that half a page is three days of stunts.
09:19Yeah.
09:20It was an intense, big movie.
09:22You just read it and you think it's going to be easy.
09:24And watching the movie was.
09:25Doing it is different.
09:27It's so fun, though.
09:28It's so fun and so cooked.
