00:00This is a real story from a friend of mine.
00:03It didn't happen to me, and I wasn't present when it occurred.
00:06For privacy reasons, I'll refer to my friend as Yancey.
00:10Yancey had an uncle who was very friendly and talkative.
00:13One night, Yancey, her uncle, and her aunt were hanging out together.
00:17It was around 12.30am, and they were standing beside the road, just talking.
00:23Suddenly, without any warning, her uncle ran across the road in a frightened, panicked rush.
00:28He reached the other side, bent down, and picked up something, or at least, that's what it looked like.
00:35His arms were open, positioned as if he were holding a person, but there was nothing there.
00:40Yancey and her aunt were completely confused.
00:43Everything happened so fast that they didn't even have time to process what was going on.
00:48Then her uncle sprinted back toward them, still holding his arms as if someone was in them.
00:53That's when a car hit him.
00:55He was rushed to the hospital and fell into a coma.
00:58That lasted three to four years.
01:00When he finally woke up, he told his family what he believed had happened that night.
01:05He said he saw an old woman who used to sell jujubes sitting across the road.
01:10He recognized her immediately and ran to save her because he thought she was about to be hit by a
01:15car.
01:16Years earlier, there had been an elderly vendor woman who regularly came to their house to sell jujubes.
01:22She was especially close to Yancey's uncle and treated him like her own son.
01:26He had always been kind to her.
01:29Not long after those visits stopped, the woman passed away after being hit by a vehicle.
01:34That night, Yancey's uncle believed he saw her sitting across the road.
01:39Unfortunately, after the accident, he was never the same again.
01:43He lost his mental stability and his personality changed completely.
01:47Maybe it was the ghost of that woman.
01:49Maybe she wanted to take him with her.
01:51But why would she return after so many years?
01:54I guess we'll never know.
01:58Hi, I'm a huge fan of your YouTube videos and I wanted to tell you a story my friend experienced.
02:03So I hope you get the chance to see this.
02:06Anyway, this happened when he was 13.
02:08He was working with his uncle at a water park in El Salvador for some extra money.
02:13He had been working there for a few weeks already.
02:16One day, while they were cleaning, his uncle realized that he had forgotten his tools in the bathroom
02:21and was about to go get them when my friend asked if he could go instead
02:25because he had never really explored the water park like that.
02:28His uncle said yes, but then started to say,
02:32If you see someone, don't run.
02:35My friend thought his uncle was just joking and tried to laugh it off,
02:38but his uncle looked serious.
02:40That kind of freaked him out, but he brushed it off since they joked around a lot.
02:44While he was on his way to the bathroom, he mentioned that it was pretty far, but he kept walking.
02:49About halfway there, he suddenly heard a door slam.
02:53It was really loud because it was a metal door, and that completely freaked him out.
02:57After pausing for a moment, he saw a woman dressed entirely in white.
03:02She looked wet, almost transparent.
03:05He stood there for a second, terrified, and then started running back toward his uncle.
03:10As he ran, he could hear wet footsteps slamming against the pavement,
03:15getting faster and faster behind him.
03:18He later said he was glad he was active and played soccer because he was able to run really fast.
03:24When he finally reached his uncle, he started tearing up
03:27and explaining how he saw a woman dressed in white chasing him.
03:31That's when his uncle said,
03:33I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this before, but this place is haunted.
03:37The woman you saw was a ghost.
03:39Her children drowned here, and the pain completely broke her.
03:43She ended her life in that bathroom so she could be with them forever.
03:47After hearing that, my friend didn't know what to say or do.
03:51He just stood there in silence.
03:53Because of that incident, he had to go to therapy,
03:56and even now, he's still afraid when he thinks about it.
04:01I have written to you before because I am a big fan of the stories that you cover.
04:06I shared my story about a weird man that I used to see at my grandmother's house,
04:10but back then I didn't share many details because I was scared.
04:14But today, I'd like to share the whole story with you.
04:17I'm 16 right now, but this story happened when I was about 7.
04:21I used to go to my grandmother's house a lot because she had four cats,
04:26and I loved to play with them.
04:27Almost every time I went to her house,
04:30there would be an older-looking man with long, white hair, glasses,
04:34and a brown cane with beautiful designs on it.
04:37He needed the cane because he had a limp in his left leg.
04:41My grandmother always used to talk with him over a cup of tea,
04:44but I was always scared of him.
04:46There wasn't anything particularly scary about him,
04:49but I disliked him for reasons I couldn't explain.
04:52He would never speak to me, he would just look at me in a strange way.
04:57After a few years, I stopped seeing him, but it didn't bother me.
05:01Only about two years ago, I asked my grandmother about him,
05:05and she said that she didn't know who I was talking about.
05:08I tried explaining to her how the man looked to jog her memory,
05:12but she still insisted that she didn't know him.
05:15I realized trying to remind her about him was pointless,
05:18so I asked my other family members about him,
05:21and they also had no idea who I was talking about.
05:25Finally, the last person I asked was my younger sister,
05:28who was 13 at the time.
05:30I asked her if she remembered him,
05:32and to my surprise, she actually did.
05:35But she remembered him a little differently.
05:38She told me she remembered him having a limp in his right leg,
05:42and that his cane wasn't made out of wood with designs on it.
05:46She said it was metallic,
05:48and she told me about one detail that I had tried to forget as a child.
05:52The man's eyes were always wide open,
05:55and they had a reddish color to them.
05:57I still sometimes get nightmares about him,
06:00even though I don't even know who he was.
06:05This story happened about a year ago,
06:07but I still remember all the details.
06:09Details I wish I could forget.
06:11In the summer, my sisters and I had a habit of going out for late night walks.
06:16Walking at night in our neighborhood felt calming,
06:19and we also walked because we couldn't stand the unbearable heat in our apartment,
06:24since we didn't have an air conditioner.
06:26One day, my two older sisters decided to walk without me,
06:29thinking I wouldn't go.
06:31So I decided to go out and search for them,
06:33so we could all walk together.
06:35The neighborhood that night was very calm,
06:38almost too calm.
06:39There was a cold mist,
06:41and the wind whistled softly.
06:43When I realized it was a bit too far from my neighborhood,
06:46I decided to go home,
06:48thinking my sisters had gone back earlier that night.
06:51On my way home, however,
06:53I noticed a silhouette of a guy running toward me
06:56from not too far away.
06:58At first, he seemed like he was jogging,
07:01but my instincts told me to run as fast as I could.
07:05As I started running,
07:06the guy was already behind me,
07:08moving at a terrifying speed.
07:10I started to panic.
07:12Fortunately, I was close to my home.
07:14I didn't want to go there because that would have been a dangerous move,
07:17but I had no choice.
07:19The moment I reached to the apartment,
07:21I felt a sense of relief.
07:23The guy, however,
07:24was right behind me,
07:25exhausted and breathing heavily.
07:27I rang my family's apartment bell
07:29and pretended to be on the phone.
07:31Eventually, I got inside
07:33and didn't say a word to my mom or my sisters
07:36because I was too scared.
07:38Ever since then,
07:39the thought of meeting that guy again
07:41has never left my mind.
07:43I became paranoid,
07:45and obviously,
07:45I stopped going out at night with my sisters.
07:48I was even worried for them,
07:50afraid they might encounter the same experience
07:53I lived through,
07:54but with a worse outcome.
07:58This story happened to my uncle when he was 25,
08:01and it's still happening to him to this day.
08:04He lives at my grandmother's house.
08:06At some point,
08:07he began to feel that some kind of spiritual presence was following him.
08:11Wherever he went,
08:12especially when he was alone at home,
08:15it always felt like it was there.
08:17He didn't think it was an evil spirit,
08:19but strange things kept happening around him,
08:22almost like something out of a poltergeist story.
08:25When he took a shower,
08:26he would suddenly hear the toilet flush by itself.
08:29Sometimes,
08:30there were knocking sounds on the mirror,
08:32or shampoo would come out on its own.
08:34When he was eating,
08:35his spoon would slip out of his hand for no reason.
08:39Cups filled with water would suddenly fall over.
08:42Sometimes,
08:42even the taste of his food would completely change.
08:45He would make spicy food,
08:47but it tasted sweet instead.
08:49When he tried to study,
08:51loud noises would suddenly blast from his speakers,
08:54scaring and distracting him.
08:56Even while watching TV,
08:58strange things would happen,
08:59as if something was deliberately trying to bother him.
09:02This happened almost every day,
09:04but despite all of that,
09:06he never thought he would actually see it.
09:08Then,
09:09one night,
09:10something unexpected happened.
09:12Around 2 a.m.,
09:13my uncle fell asleep.
09:15Not long after,
09:16he heard strange noises coming from outside his room.
09:19Curious,
09:20he slowly looked through the slightly open door.
09:23That's when he saw it.
09:25Standing in the hallway,
09:26was a figure,
09:27wearing white clothes,
09:28with long black hair,
09:30flowing as if it were being blue.
09:33It looked like a woman.
09:35The sight was terrifying.
09:36He realized that the figure was staring directly at him.
09:41Instead of running away,
09:42my uncle stared back,
09:43without blinking.
09:45They looked at each other for several minutes.
09:47Then,
09:48suddenly,
09:49the figure vanished into thin air.
09:51To this day,
09:53my uncle says he can't forget that moment.
09:55He still wonders who,
09:57or what,
09:58that spirit was,
09:59and why it chose to follow him.
10:04Hey,
10:04for privacy reasons,
10:06let's call me Aurora,
10:07and this is my story.
10:08I was 15 at the time,
10:10this incident happened.
10:11To give you a brief background about myself,
10:14I lived with my parents and grandparents,
10:16and was a high school student at the time.
10:18It was a Friday night,
10:20and as an enthusiastic adolescent,
10:23I begged my mom to let me stay up late,
10:25since I didn't have school the next day.
10:27She agreed,
10:28and said I could stay up until 2 a.m.,
10:30no later than that.
10:31I was very happy,
10:32because I had a solo movie night planned.
10:35I went to the kitchen,
10:36prepared popcorn,
10:37reheated some pizza,
10:39returned to the living room couch,
10:41and put on the latest horror movie at the time.
10:44I have always been a horror fan,
10:46and was never scared of things like that.
10:48The movie ended around 1 a.m.,
10:50and since I still had time before bed,
10:53I started watching some YouTube videos.
10:55After a while,
10:56I heard some rustling sounds coming from the kitchen.
10:59Thinking it must be my mom,
11:01probably getting water,
11:02I didn't think much of it.
11:04Before I continue,
11:05let me give you a bit of detail about my house.
11:08My living room area was right after the main door,
11:11and the kitchen was right behind the sofa.
11:13It was a closed kitchen with a door-like entrance.
11:17Suddenly,
11:17I heard a faint voice calling my name.
11:20Thinking it was my mom calling for me,
11:22I turned around,
11:24and noticed that the kitchen lights were off.
11:26Which was odd,
11:27considering my mom is very scared of darkness,
11:29and things like that.
11:31Before I could think any further,
11:33I saw my mom's hand protruding from the entrance of the kitchen,
11:37gesturing for me to come to her.
11:38It was more like a faint shadow,
11:41but I could tell it was my mother because of the rings on her fingers.
11:44She loves wearing rings.
11:46Without thinking much,
11:47I set my laptop aside and stood up to go to her.
11:50As I reached the kitchen,
11:52I turned on the light,
11:53and to my utter shock,
11:54I saw the kitchen was empty.
11:56There was no one there.
11:58Then who gestured for me to come over,
12:00and who was calling my name?
12:02While I was still in shock,
12:04I suddenly heard a loud noise.
12:06It was my mom yelling my name from her room.
12:09I turned and saw her standing in the bedroom doorway,
12:12telling me that it was already 2 a.m.
12:14and that I needed to go to bed.
12:16Not wanting to scare her,
12:18I didn't say anything and went to bed.
12:20The next morning,
12:22I told her everything,
12:23and she was shocked as well.
12:25Trying not to scare me further,
12:27she brushed the topic off,
12:28but I could clearly see the unease on her face.
12:32Six months later,
12:33we moved to a new apartment complex.
12:36I'm 22 now,
12:37and to this day,
12:38what happened that night remains a mystery.
12:41I'm 23 now,
12:46You
