25:19Tammy Lynn Sitch returns to professional wrestling
25:23and Extreme Championship Wrestling.
25:28In case you didn't already know,
25:30the new undisputed ECW World Heavyweight Champion
25:34it is my office.
25:36Of course, any time an event of this magnitude occurs,
25:39the crowning of a new World Heavyweight Champion.
25:43We, here at ECW, feel the need to show you fans
25:46the historic ramifications of this event.
25:48On August 27, 1994, Shane Douglas won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship
25:58only to throw it down and create a new title,
26:03the ECW Heavyweight Championship of the World.
26:13On April 15, 1995, at the Three-Way Dance,
26:18the franchise lost the belt to the Sandman,
26:22who won the title with the help of woman.
26:36The Sandman brutalized all challengers,
26:40but in an upset victory,
26:43Mikey Whipwreck became the Heavyweight Champion
26:47of the World later that year.
26:56On December 9th of that year,
26:59Mikey Whipwreck defended the title at the ECW Arena
27:02against the Sandman and Steve Austin in a three-way dance.
27:08Steve Austin and the Sandman,
27:11two gear-guzzling antiheroes,
27:14fought it out for the ECW World Heavyweight title.
27:18And the Sandman emerged victorious
27:22and became a two-time ECW Heavyweight Champion of the World.
27:36But right around the corner was lurking Raven.
27:40And Raven, fresh off of losing Eula McGillicuddy to Tommy Dreamer,
27:46vowed to take out the Sandman.
27:49And so he did.
27:51Raven DDT'd his way to his first ECW World Title reign.
28:16It was later that year in an ultimate Jeopardy match
28:20that Raven allowed Stevie Richards to put the title at risk.
28:24And Stevie Richards missed with the Singapore Games,
28:29allowing the Sandman to become a three-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion.
28:55But just a few months later, in a barbed wire matchup,
29:01Raven reclaimed the belt that he had never lost.
29:11It was at our very first pay-per-view, barely legal,
29:15April 13, 1997,
29:18that Tommy Dreamer got his revenge on Raven
29:21and helped Terry Funk win the World Heavyweight title.
29:28But the 53-year-old legend fell victim in another barbed wire match.
29:35This one, the most brutal of all time, born to be wired, Sabu won the belt.
29:44Just a week later, still shattered and bloodied from the barbed wire match,
29:50Sabu fell victim to the curse of the freeway dance,
29:54and Shane Douglas regained the title.
29:57His manager, Ravishing Rick Rude, set Douglas up.
30:04And in Queens, New York City, on October 16, 1997,
30:10Bam Bam Bigelow won his very first World Heavyweight title
30:16by defeating the franchise at the Madhouse of Xtreme.
30:25At the 1997 November to remember,
30:30Shane Douglas regained the gold
30:32in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
30:36But the pressures of being the champion
30:39caught up to Shane Douglas.
30:42And on January 10, 1999,
30:46in Kissimmee, Florida,
30:48at the guilty-as-charged pay-per-view,
30:51an injured Shane Douglas
30:53finally fell victim
30:55to the Katahajime,
30:58and the era of ads
31:00was rushed in.
31:06On September 19,
31:08the Anarchy Rules pay-per-view,
