00:10and I have something really cool
00:12that I want to show you today.
00:13Over the last year we've been working
00:15on new innovative ways to bring advertising
00:18to Xbox using the power
00:20of voice and gesture that Connect brings.
00:23Today I'm going to show you
00:24five unique scenarios that we're
00:26working on that will enable advertising
00:28to be consumed in a very unique way.
00:30So let's get to it.
00:32Let me show you what these scenarios are.
00:34First of all, I start
00:36on the Xbox Live dashboard
00:38and I see that there's an ad for Coca-Cola.
00:40So let me hover over the ad
00:43to watch that
00:4430 second spot from Coke.
00:45So the ad is rolling. This is a particular ad
00:48for a campaign that's targeting teens.
00:50As you know, teens are very social creatures.
00:52So wouldn't it be great
00:54if I could take that ad
00:56and share it with my friends
00:58using a social network?
01:00In this case, as I'm watching the ad
01:02there's an invitation for me to engage with the ad
01:04by using Twitter.
01:07So by simply saying Xbox Tweet
01:08I'll be able to share this ad
01:11with my friends on Twitter.
01:12So let's try it.
01:14Xbox Tweet.
01:16The minute I say Xbox Tweet,
01:18there's a prompt on screen
01:20that's allowing me to share this video
01:22straight on Twitter.
01:23So by using Gesture, I select Tweet
01:28and there you go.
01:29This is a very unique way for advertisers
01:31to take an ad campaign, put it on Xbox
01:33and take the power of the social networks
01:36and expand it beyond Xbox Live.
01:38Let me show you another example
01:40of what we're thinking about here.
01:41So in this case, I'm watching an ad about Adidas.
01:45Adidas is running a really cool contest
01:48that allows people to bring their face
01:50to the next Adidas commercial.
01:51Wouldn't it be great if it were easy for me
01:54to interact with that ad
01:56and learn more about the contest
01:58without really needing to do a lot of work?
02:00Well guess what?
02:01By simply saying Xbox More, I can learn more
02:04about how to go all in with Adidas.
02:06Let's try it.
02:07Xbox More.
02:10The minute I say that,
02:11there's a prompt on screen
02:13that allows me to get an email from Adidas
02:15with more information about that particular contest.
02:18By simply using Gesture,
02:20I select email,
02:21I go to my inbox and there's an email right there
02:24instantaneously.
02:25Very easy for an advertiser to bring all those pieces
02:27together into a single ad campaign
02:29that's still powered by the 30 second spot.
02:31Really, really powerful.
02:33Let me show you guys another really cool example.
02:35In this case,
02:37we're watching a commercial
02:38for a new show that's coming up
02:40for NBC called The Voice.
02:43One thing that happens to me all the time
02:45while I'm watching TV is
02:46I get reminded of a new show
02:48and I forget about it.
02:50Wouldn't it be great if there's a way for me to schedule it
02:52and get a reminder straight to my phone
02:54so that I can remember to watch the show
02:56whenever it comes up?
02:57So as I'm watching the show, I get a prompt that says
03:00say Xbox Schedule to send a reminder to your phone.
03:03So let's try it.
03:05Xbox, Schedule.
03:06So now I don't need to remember when the show is coming up
03:09because my phone is going to tell me next time.
03:11This is a great way for people to go back to TV
03:14and watch content that they really care
03:16when they really care.
03:18In this instance, we're watching an ad from Toyota,
03:21the Toyota Prius.
03:23One of the things we hear from Toyota
03:25and other auto manufacturers is
03:27we have this great national ad campaign
03:29that we would like to run at a local level.
03:33How do we do that?
03:34How do we bring the local and national aspects
03:36of an ad campaign together?
03:37Well, with Xbox and the Power of Connect,
03:39we can do it.
03:40In this instance, if I want to learn about
03:42a dealership that's close by,
03:44I simply need to say Xbox near me
03:46to see the Toyota dealership that's nearest me.
03:49Let's try it.
03:51Xbox, near me.
03:53The minute I say that,
03:54there's a map that pops up
03:55that shows the locations that are closest by.
03:58So let's find the location that's nearest me,
04:01in this case, the Toyota Redmond,
04:03and I can send a text message with the directions
04:05for that Toyota dealership straight to my phone.
04:07Now I need to turn off my Xbox
04:09and go find that Toyota dealership that's nearest me.
04:12Again, the Power of Connect, voice and gesture,
04:14used to drive power to the standard 30-second spot.
04:18Let me show you one final example,
04:20and this example is really, really cool.
04:23This is an ad for an upcoming movie title
04:25called The Green Lantern.
04:28Wouldn't it be great if I'm watching a commercial
04:30about a movie that I like, that I want to see,
04:32and I'm invited to participate and engage
04:34in an interactive way with that commercial.
04:37In this case, as I'm watching it,
04:39I'm invited to wave so that I can vote for
04:42who I think the greatest Green Lantern of all time is.
04:44So let's do it.
04:46I wave, and I'm invited to participate in this vote.
04:50So who do I think the greatest Green Lantern is?
04:53Well, obviously it's Hal Jordan.
04:56And guess what?
04:57The rest of the people agree.
04:59Hal Jordan is the greatest Green Lantern of all time.
05:02As you can see with these five unique examples,
05:05the power of Connect and the power of advertising together
05:08can bring engagement for advertisers and consumers
05:11to a completely new level.
05:12We are really, really excited about this technology
05:15and can't wait to bring it to market.
05:18And that's it.
