00:00Rated M for Mature.
00:15I'm Daniel Cady, lead designer on the Dawn of War 2 series,
00:19here to talk about new additions to our multiplayer armies.
00:22Soon, the armies of Chaos will arrive to sow death and destruction throughout subsector Aurelia.
00:28Fortunately, new units are being added to the Space Marines, Eldar, Orcs, and Tyranids,
00:33free to all Dawn of War 2 owners to combat this new threat.
00:38Though if you want to use them to wreck up some other armies, be our guest.
00:43The Weird Boy is an Orc with the dubious gift of Psyker powers.
00:47Civilized races of Warhammer 40k train for ages to harness the powers of the Warp,
00:51but when used by the Savage Weird Boy, they guarantee madness and destruction.
00:57He provides valuable artillery-like firepower,
01:00though he's just as happy to throw his allies into the fray.
01:05When faced with a mass of opponents, he will hit it like the foot of an angry god.
01:10Quite literally, by using the nuke-like Foot of Gork ability.
01:16Just don't stand too close to him if he takes a lethal wound.
01:27For those who like casters that don't explode as much,
01:30there's the Space Marine's Librarian,
01:32a trained Psyker who excels at enhancing his Battle Brothers,
01:35as well as in direct combat.
01:38Armed with either a deadly melee Force Sword or a Force Staff to channel his Psychic Bolts,
01:43the Librarian's abilities bolster specialized tactical squads.
01:50He also bears remarkable protective powers.
01:53His Shield Wall spell propels an expanding barrier
01:56that no infantry or projectile can breach.
02:01Two new units join the Tyranids' ranks.
02:03Tyrant Guards are armored monsters,
02:06created by the Hivemine for defense.
02:09They move into battle using a barreling charge,
02:12protected by their thick shells and an ability to hunker down and regenerate,
02:15even in the midst of combat.
02:19This makes them valuable both for absorbing enemy fire
02:22and for spearheading a Tyranid Force.
02:26Where there's a Space Hulk, there's Tyranid Genestealers.
02:30These elite melee units camouflage when stationary,
02:33waiting at critical points to ambush the enemy.
02:37Unlike the stealthy Lictor,
02:38which harasses and snipes unprotected opponents,
02:41Genestealers engage their foes directly in numbers,
02:44bolstered by a damaging Frenzy ability,
02:46slaughtering anything they can reach.
02:50The Eldar are known in Warhammer 40k lore as a dying race,
02:53but when life gives you ghosts, you make ghost robots.
02:57Wraithguard are armored shells,
02:58piloted by the spirits of fallen Eldar warriors.
03:01They're sturdy, fearless, and armed with a gun
03:04that basically fires black holes,
03:06providing heavy-ranged infantry support.
03:09When led by an Eldar warlock,
03:11they move rapidly,
03:12laying down a wall of explosive fire
03:13that can rip apart any armor.
03:17These new units will join all DAO2 players' armies in March,
03:22absolutely free.
03:23that when the Chaos Army arrives
03:25in the Chaos Rising expansion,
03:27they're going to need them.
03:30Thanks for watching.
