00:09My name is Mike Mehar. I'm a producer
00:12on Fight Night Round 4, and I'm
00:13responsible for Legacy Mode.
00:15In Fight Night Round 3, you can basically
00:18just go in with one character in one
00:20weight class, and fight,
00:21and train, and fight, and train,
00:24and there is no end. The cool thing
00:26about Fight Night Round 4 is a really
00:28robust Legacy Mode. It's something
00:30that we like to say internally on the team is
00:32any fighter can have a career,
00:34but not every fighter or boxer leaves
00:36their legacy. In the
00:38Legacy Mode in Fight Night Round 4, you can
00:40create a completely customized boxer,
00:42and you can customize anything, pretty much
00:43anything you can think of about yourself. Your eye color,
00:46your facial hair, your hair color, your boots,
00:48your trunks, your robe. You can change the colors
00:50of the robe, the styles of the robe. There's all kinds of different
00:52branded gear in the game as well, so you can
00:54choose between Nike, Adidas, Lonsdale,
00:56and others. Not only that, but you can customize your
00:58ring intro music. When you get into the mode itself,
01:00it's a complete representation of the boxer you
01:02want to be. Something else that was
01:04missing from Fight Night Round 3 was
01:06that there were no rankings. I mean, you got a sense that
01:08you're getting better or worse, but you didn't know what anyone
01:10was ranked. This time, there'll be
01:1250 ranked fighters, excluding the
01:14three champs per weight division, in each
01:16of the eight weight divisions.
01:18Something consumers were asking for was
01:20the ability to select
01:22who of the all-time greats, current greats,
01:25and potential greats
01:26actually ended up in the mode.
01:28You're going to be able to customize the landscape
01:30of the Legacy Mode. We're going to take all
01:32the great characters and boxers that we have
01:34on our roster, and we're going to put them in the mode
01:36for you. And then you're going to get to determine
01:37where they're ranked, who's the champ,
01:40or if they appear in the mode at all.
01:42The progression in the Legacy Mode
01:44of Fight Night Round 4 is really up
01:46to the user. What we're going to allow them to do
01:48is we're going to start them as a prospect,
01:49or the 50th ranked fighter
01:51in their weight class. And then how quickly
01:53they're able to move up the rankings
01:55and challenge for a belt is entirely up to them.
01:57And we give you that ability
01:59by allowing you to schedule your own fights
02:01and training. How much you fight,
02:03who you fight, and how much you train
02:05will determine how quickly you ascend
02:07up the ladder in the rankings for your
02:09weight division. We have defined steps
02:11for every rung in the ladder between prospect
02:13and greatest of all time.
02:15And for every rung in the ladder, there are different
02:17goals that you have to meet. And each set
02:20of goals gets progressively harder
02:22and more challenging as you come closer
02:24to becoming the greatest of all time.
02:25Be careful though, because you can also
02:27descend down the ladder as well.
02:29If you go 0-10 and you get knocked out
02:3110 times in a row, it's possible you can
02:33degenerate to a bomb. And it's possible soon
02:35after that, that your trainer might ask you to retire.
02:37So to sum up, we think the Legacy Mode
02:39in Fight Night Round 4 is the most authentic
02:42simulation career mode that you can
02:44possibly find in a boxing video game.
