00:21But look, I suppose coaching does make a huge difference here.
00:25I mean, after all, we are headed toward a Sweet 16 with Hall of Famers,
00:29like Izzo, like Patino, and many others.

00:35I mean, Patino is simply one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time.

00:42And I was lucky enough, Craig, as you know, I do some FIBA play-by-play.
00:45I was lucky enough to be around him when he was coaching the Greek national team
00:49and kind of see him behind the scenes and doing press conferences sitting right next to him.
00:53And whether there was 20 people in the room or 100 of media members in the room,
00:59Patino just knew how to kind of just capture an audience.
01:02And I sat next to him, and I just said to myself, like,
01:05I can see why when he shows up in your living room,
01:08why he can get you to come to commit and play for him.
01:11And then I can also see why when he speaks to you one-on-one,
01:14why you would run through a wall for him.
01:15And that's what he has with this St. John squad.
01:18And, you know, they were able to kind of rebuild and get back to this prominent spot pretty quickly.
01:23This is only a year or two of this program that he's really kind of building around.
01:25And they should have lost that game yesterday.
01:28They shot 35 threes.
01:29That's not their game, right?
01:30Like, they were being dared and asked and begged to shoot those threes against Kansas.
01:34They only made 11 of them.
01:35And somehow, someway, at the end of the game, he had that one play from a guy who he calls
01:41Bells.
01:42I won't tell you why that name is the reason why he calls him that.
01:45You can Google that on your own.
01:46But a guy who calls Bells to go down the lane and finish for his only bucket in the entire
01:53game.
01:53That's the coach that Patino is.
01:55Here's a guy who's 0 for the entire game, but he knows I can step up in the moment and
01:59trust this one guy.
