00:18and EA Sports are giving you two unique ways to play in Explore Mode.
00:22In this video we're going to show you how to shred the mountain in Race It
00:26but you'll also need to pull out the tricks and rack up the points in Trick It.
00:33Here we are in the Rockies, the Whitehorn Mountain on the demo track for Race-It, JT2.
00:39This drop is all about high speed, intense racing, and here are some pointers to help you get started.
00:50To really hit the high speeds in SSX, you'll need to land tricks to earn boost and fill your tricky
00:55meter.
00:58In SSX, tricks equal boost. Every time you land a trick, you will earn some.
01:04You can use that boost to give yourself a burst of speed, or save it and let the tricky meter
01:08fill up completely.
01:11When your tricky meter is full, you'll go into tricky state, and that means a faster top speed and unlimited
01:17boost.
01:21To get into tricky state quickly, you'll need to land a succession of big tricks,
01:25but you'll earn less boost if you repeat the same trick over and over again, so keep changing up your
01:31grabs.
01:33You can stay in tricky state by maintaining your trick combo.
01:37Finding the right balance between pulling off tricks and hitting boost is the key to posting the fastest times.
01:46In Race-It, you need to keep your jumps as low as possible, because big air will just add valuable
01:51seconds to your run.
01:53Try jumping earlier to flatten your trajectory, or if you're going fast enough over a kicker, don't jump at all.
02:06Oversteering will make you lose momentum and eat up time, so try and keep a straight path and avoid turning
02:11too sharply.
02:12When you hit those big straights, make sure to hold the left stick forward, this is going to make your
02:17character tuck in and they'll go even faster.
02:24Grinding is another quick way to get around a map, plus it's the perfect way to build up your trick
02:29combo and keep your tricky meter ticking over.
02:36If you're still not posting the best times in Race Events, see what your friends are doing by following their
02:41ghosts.
02:41In Explore mode, you're able to compete with your friends and challenge their best times and scores even when they're
02:48away from their consoles.
02:49You might just find a new line or area you didn't even know about.
02:56And finally, don't forget about Boost. You can earn Boost by landing tricks or running over flares.
