Kirsten Dunst has another sequel lined up.

The 43-year-old actress will join Sydney Sweeney in the planned sequel to the latter’s hit 2025 film The Housemaid.

Lionsgate announced in December that production on The Housemaid's Secret will begin in 2026. Screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first book in Freida McFadden's bestselling novel series, will also return to write the sequel, with Paul Feig back again to direct and Sweeney and McFadden among its producers.

“It is a privilege to bring The Housemaid’s next chapter to the screen with Kirsten Dunst,” said Lionsgate Motion Picture Group president Erin Westerman in a statement. “She is an icon. Her career reflects extraordinary range and fearlessness. Opposite the ever-magnetic Sydney Sweeney, she will be an electrifying force in a world where nothing is ever quite as it seems.”
