00:03I'm Drew Holmes, writer for Red Faction Guerrilla, and welcome to Mars.
00:09We're currently standing in EOS, one of the game's six sectors.
00:13Here, the firestorm of revolution is about to ignite.
00:17EDF is declared an emergency lockdown, with orders to shoot anyone on the street.
00:21It's a virtual siege. No food, water, or medical supplies until residents give up Red Faction sympathizers in EOS.
00:28EDF snipers have already killed a dozen people. Your job is to end this atrocity.
00:33Get in there, and clear those snipers out. Let's show the people of EOS the Red Faction fights for them.
00:40Although my character, Alec Mason, is a member of the Red Faction, freedom fighters with limited resources,
00:46I've collected plenty of tools that will help me take down the EDF snipers.
00:50I've given Alec armor upgrades, which you can see on his jacket, and a modified sledgehammer that's sure to come
00:55in handy.
00:55To make traversing the landscape a breeze, I've equipped a jetpack. Best of all, I have the power of observation.
01:02The tracer fire I can see in the distance will help me formulate my strategy.
01:11When you're playing Red Faction Guerrilla, strategy is all about adapting to the situation at hand.
01:17Using the environment and the Geomot 2.0 destruction engine to your advantage are the keys to successful missions.
01:24For example, rather than run straight into a nest of snipers, I'll slip in the back door.
01:30And since the sound of steel against Skull is much quieter than gunfire, I'll use my sledgehammer.
01:35You gotta think like one.
01:37Search the rooftops.
01:39Clear all the windows.
01:43When the sledgehammer's not enough, I can pull out my nano-riple to continue the assault.
01:54I can even engage the enemy indirectly with the help of my favorite weapon, the Singularity Bomb.
02:00This is death at its most silent.
02:03Partly because I'm sneaking around to place the charge.
02:05Partly because neither sound nor light can escape the insatiable vacuum of the black hole it will create.
02:11From a safe distance, I can watch as the sniper is reduced to less than enough.
02:16This is a great example of the Geomot 2.0 destruction engine in action.
02:20We spent five years perfecting an engine that does more than enables sublime devastation.
02:25It provides countless strategic choices.
02:27In this case, I have some enemies following behind me.
02:31With just two Singularity Bombs, I can take out this entire boardwalk and cut off their lanes of pursuit.
02:47Another weapon unique to Red Faction is the Nano-Rifle, previously seen disintegrating the floor beneath the sniper's feet.
02:54The Nano-Rifle works at a molecular level to instantly decompose a target.
02:58It also renders cover obsolete.
03:05The Nano-Rifle works at a molecular level to instantly decompose a target.
03:06Your enemies will find no sanctuary as long as your aim is true.
03:09An aim is of no concern with a Thermal Barrack rocket launcher.
03:12A single shot can take out an entire four-story complex.
03:16Snipers, walls, girders, and all.
03:28Employing destructive weaponry and creative ways to turn the tide of battle.
03:31That's the key to success in Red Faction Glower.
03:34Thanks for watching.
