00:00I'm Tsubasa Inaba, producer for Echochrome 2.
00:04In the original Echochrome, basically all you had to do was rotate the level
00:07and hope to guide the character to their ultimate goal.
00:12Whereas Echochrome 2, you had the initiative using the Move Controller as a flashlight,
00:17casting the shadows to whichever direction you wish,
00:20and ultimately getting the Mannequin character to your goal.
00:24The use of the Move Controller is very intuitive and very accurate.
00:27All you need to do is basically point the Move Controller towards the television screen
00:32as you would a flashlight.
00:34The blocks that you're seeing in the levels and where you move your Move Controller,
00:40it basically changes the angle or direction of the shadows that you are casting.
00:45Your character will be moving along, walking along these shadows,
00:49and your ultimate goal is to get him to the goal.
00:55Good job!
00:57Echochrome 2 will include a level editor for players to generate the levels that they desire
01:02or that they wish to create.
01:04We've taken that to another level as well.
01:07Because we're using the shadow theme for Echochrome 2,
01:12the editor will enable the players to draw the shadow that they wish to eventually create.
01:20What the level editor will do, then, is automatically generate the blocks that you require to generate that shadow.
01:29So it's a lot easier than having to build something up and test an error kind of approach.
01:36So, very intuitive.
01:37Echochrome 2 follows the theme of play, create, and share that we have across Sony.
01:42They are enabled to upload it to our servers, and eventually we will make that available to other players.
01:48So, our goal is to provide an infinite possibility of gameplay.
01:58If you've played the original Echochrome, you may remember the very sophisticated classical music style that we implemented.
02:05That worked perfectly for the monotone theme that the original game had.
02:10With Echochrome 2, we're bringing in the piano, adding that to the strings quartet.
02:16It brings more life to the music, more cheerful, and combine that with the colors that we're introducing to the
02:23levels.
02:24We think that we're reaching out to an even wider audience.
