00:07So, going back to the move acquisition, as I mentioned, done, gone
00:10is the archetype system.
00:11We actually pick moves from various disciplines.
00:13This applies to our roster fighters
00:15and this applies to our creative fighters as well.
00:18So, you can see here, we literally
00:19assign moves per controller
00:21input per position. On the lower
00:23right, you can see which position you're in.
00:25Here I'm in the standing clinch.
00:27This is the button inputs I have available
00:29to me from the standing clinch.
00:30You can see the yellow checkboxes when they come up
00:33indicate a move that I actually have picked.
00:35Each move has a different level to it.
00:37We did that to actually take
00:39into account certain people are more proficient.
00:41For example, Joe Daddy Stevenson,
00:42guy's got an awesome guillotine. He'd be like a level
00:45three guillotine. So, when you're making
00:47your fighter, make sure to move left and right.
00:49You'll level up your moves.
00:51You're going to see certain moves cost
00:53more, obviously. A level three move
00:54costs more than say a level one or a two move.
00:57And you're able to actually assign them as well.
00:59So, in the creative fighter mode,
01:01we give you a certain set of points
01:03and allow you to kind of pick moves from
01:04these various disciplines. A lot more
01:06a la carte, a lot more nuance, and you can literally
01:08create whatever kind of fighter you want.
01:11If you want to have aspects from Muay Thai
01:12and Karate, and then specific things
01:14from Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,
01:16we give you that opportunity. So, this is actually
01:19one of the coolest things that I think we were able
01:20to do this here with the game. And literally
01:22means that no two roster fighters
01:25are alike, and you can make
01:26as a result very, very unique created
01:29fighters.
01:35Yeah, look at that submission. Crazy.
01:39So, we also have
01:41move templates that you can assign.
01:43We give you the option to say,
01:44okay, if I don't want to go through and pick every single
01:46submission every single punch, you can go in
01:49and assign a base template that we've created
01:50for you. This gives you the opportunity to
01:52kind of see, like, oh, okay, I want to make my guy
01:54a Muay Thai guy. You obviously have the
01:56opportunity to go in and edit these as well.
01:59So, once you pick a template, you can go
02:00back and take, you know, take moves away,
02:02get some points back, and apply it to something else.
02:05If you want to be the strong Muay Thai guy
02:06and then take a couple, you know, BJJ things
02:08that you didn't have, we give you that opportunity
02:11as well.
02:13This is what the fans pay to see. The top fighters
02:15racing up against each other to see who's the best.
02:18And I know deep down that's a big deal.
02:20So, voice times.
02:21That's another addition to the game this year.
02:23You're going to find a lot more immersion in your
02:25character in career mode. We recorded different voices
02:27from different ethnicities that you're able
02:29to apply to your creative
02:31character. And this is going to play
02:33into the various sort of
02:35presentation improvements that we've applied to the game
02:37this year. You're going to have a lot more investment
02:39in your character, not only from, you know, the time
02:41you spent creating them, but also from an emotional
02:43level based on the cut scenes.
02:45That concept of the game is watching you,
02:47kind of monitors the things
02:49that you do. You're able to respect your opponents,
02:51disrespect your opponents, call out specific
02:53camps. The career mode went
02:55through a dramatic improvement.
02:57You know, we built upon the things that were strong last
02:59year and wanted to add more nuance and more
03:01variety that
03:03voice system plays out here.
03:05All set. How's that feel?
03:08Hey Mark, your first time is up next.
03:10You got ten minutes to the bell. Good luck kid.
03:13Thanks.
03:14How you feel? You ready to go?
03:19Okay, deep breaths.
03:20This is what we've been training for.
03:22Don't get too fancy, just stick to what
03:24makes you comfortable.
03:26Okay, if you got any questions, make them fast.
03:30So, Mark Lehmann, one of the premier
03:32jiu-jitsu coaches in the business, is also
03:34your coach in the UFC Undisputed 2010
03:37game. These little prompts will come up
03:39throughout your game, giving you the
03:40opportunity, as I mentioned, you have respect your
03:42opponent, disrespect your opponent, call out your camp,
03:45call out somebody else's camp.
03:47Obviously here, we're going to skip our tutorial.
03:51I want you to stay focused and loose, you understand?
03:53Throw everything like you need it,
03:55not like you're a maniac. You need to be ready
03:57to go hard all three rounds.
04:00Thanks for all your help, coach.
04:02Hey, drinks are on you afterwards, right?
04:05Yeah, but get your head in the game.
04:06Or drink them through an IV.
04:08You're up, Langan.
04:11Okay, keep away from any fast-moving
04:13hands or feet. Stay mean, but not crazy.
04:17I'm ready. Let's do this.
04:19Yes, let's do this.
04:21So, different from last year, last year we
04:24started you out, you were fighting right in the UFC
04:25from the get-go. This year we actually put you in
04:28amateur fights first, and then you move up to
04:30fighting in the WFA, sort of our kind of
04:33equivalent of a minor league. You find the WFA,
04:36you start winning a couple fights,
04:38and eventually you might get noticed by the big boys
04:40and get an invite to come up.
04:42Sponsors start taking notice of you.
04:44But it's important to note that you can also
04:46get kicked back into the WFA.
04:48So, once you get your UFC invite,
04:50it doesn't mean the show's over for you.
04:52You've got to make sure you're still doing good.
04:54You know, the UFC makes sure that the best fighters
04:56in the world are fighting at the best position
04:58in their best condition.
04:59Excuse me.
05:01So, again, if you don't fight well, you might get kicked out.
05:15What's up, guys? I'm here at Mark Lehman's gym in Las Vegas this week for the video blog.
05:19We're here today to meet up with one of Mark's guys
05:21and offer him a shot in the UFC.
05:22Trust me when I tell you, this kid's no joke.
05:25Come on, let's go meet him.
05:27Mark, what's happening, bro?
05:29Dana, what's up?
05:30Why'd you tell me you're stopping by today?
05:33Man, I told you we were coming to check out your boy.
05:36Damn, forgot that was this week. Hold on a sec.
05:41What's up, Coach?
05:43Dana here's been asking about you.
05:45Yeah, Joe Soba and I caught your last fight.
05:47I told him, we've got to get this guy.
05:50We think you're ready.
05:51How'd you like to come fight for the UFC?
05:54Hell yeah. Just tell me when and where.
05:57You got that right.
05:59That's right, bitches.
06:00The biggest and the best fighters in the world.
06:02They all come and fight in the UFC.
06:04It's as real as he gets.
06:06Dana, you're so mad at me, I've got to keep training.
06:08Alright, I'm going to get in and start training my fighter.
06:11So training, obviously, retains a lot of the aspects from last year.
06:14We have the calendar system.
06:15You can go through, assign training, sparring.
06:18You can auto-spar if you want, if you don't want to actually go in there.
06:21One of the big changes from last year is stats will decay.
06:24So you have to make sure that you train up your stats in specific areas.
06:28We have the 16 fighter skills and the three attributes from last year.
06:31But we have these thresholds in the game of 30, 50, and 70 that you want to get your stats
06:35to.
06:36So that they don't decay past that.
06:38Here you can see an example of our kind of free sparring.
06:40You can go through, train with your sparring partner.
06:43You're going to get a little taste, obviously, of this through the video.
06:46But you'll have a lot more opportunity later as we do more interviews on career mode.
06:49You can see the status indicating my stats are going down by the blue arrows here.
06:54So it's very important to keep your stats always up.
06:57Keep them training.
06:58You do age in the game this year.
06:59That's another change from last year.
07:01Your age does matter.
07:02And you do take on what's called, as you fight more fights, you know,
07:06just the wear and tear on your body becomes harder and harder to maintain your stats as well.
07:10So move acquisition in the career mode is accomplished via the fight camp.
07:14So we have most of the top tier fight camps from the UFC available in the game.
07:18So you go through and you choose, you know, I want to learn a specific move.
07:22I'm going to go to, you know, one of the various top camps that we have in the game.
07:25And then you're able to learn specific things about your discipline that you're interested in
07:32or learning a specific move.
07:33For example, here I'm working on some focus sparring with Greg Jackson,
07:36hitting the pads, working it a little bit.
07:39We also give you the opportunity to fight against real UFC fighters.
07:43You see, they don't need any training gear because you suck, and they don't.
07:47So they're helping you train for your fight.
07:49And this is kind of a cool way that we're able to bring these guys into the game as well
07:52and kind of help you out in your career.
07:55It's a great way to kind of get points towards your character
07:58and then build up specific moves.
08:00So it's kind of up to you to see which camp offers you which opportunities.
08:07We have this other thing called game plan.
08:09That's something that you can add to your training calendar.
08:13Basically, if you don't want to train a specific thing for a certain fight,
08:17you're going up against a guy who would say a strong ground game.
08:19You set up this game plan.
08:20It's a one fight bonus.
08:22You lose a week, but it ups or downs your skills for a particular fight.
08:27You get to use it once per training session.
08:29So it's a cool addition.
08:30We also give you the opportunity to change weight classes this year.
08:33That's new from last year.
08:34So tear through a division, and you might get the opportunity
08:37to move into another weight class and see how you do there.
08:41So obvious cool addition that we felt was necessary for this year.
08:48It's a lot more presentation, as I mentioned, this year.
08:51Here you have an example of our pre-fight weigh-in with our creative fighter.
08:57And there's that long hair again.
09:00Going up against Rampage Jackson here for the light heavyweight championship.
09:03We've got Joe in the background, the octagon girls.
09:06And our game is watching you permeates this aspect as well.
09:09I talked about respecting your opponent, disrespecting your camp.
09:12Your consequences are going to be noted throughout the game.
09:15AI is going to change depending on how you fight.
09:17You'll get call-outs from Buffer and Goldie, as well as Joe,
09:22talking about things that you've been doing in your career.
09:24So it's a much more immersive experience that you're going to find,
09:29not only physically, but also from an emotional standpoint as well.
09:32Coming up next, it's a light heavyweight title fight
09:35between Quentin Rampage Jackson and Suave.
09:40Yeah, this should be an exciting fight.
09:42I say we're pretty evenly matched, but I'm going to make a statement
09:44when I get inside the octagon.
09:46You wanted to do this your last fight most of the time,
09:49and make a bad move, we can probably take you out.
09:51So this is a very important fight.
10:00So, you got a little taste of our creative fighting career.
