00:18December 2022 for safety reasons. Sefton Council secured funding following a detailed business
00:25in this case submitted to the department for business and trade, covering decking, timber,
00:31steel repairs, gates and long-term maintenance. Council leaders and the chancellors say the
00:37investment will protect the cherished heritage assets, support tourism and secure the pier
00:41for future generations.
