00:08I'm Donnie Matuls, community manager with DICE, working for Battlefield Back Company 2 Vietnam.
00:14The Vietnam Expansion Pack is based upon Back Company 2,
00:17so you have all the significant gameplay features which you had in Back Company 2,
00:21lifted over to Back Company 2 Vietnam.
00:25Back in 2004, we released the game Battlefield Vietnam based upon Battlefield 1942,
00:30and we gained loads of community requests to put up a new Vietnam game, so that's what we did.
00:37The community is very important when it comes to shaping DLCs and shaping games in general.
00:42I mean, we usually tend to take the feedback we get and we work it in the studio,
00:46we take the best ideas out of it, so don't stop giving us good feedback.
00:51So the types of vehicles we will be seeing in Battlefield Back Company 2 Vietnam
00:54is most area-specific vehicles.
00:57You have jeep-sized vehicles, you have two new tanks,
01:00you have the American patrol boat, the American Huey,
01:02and it's all for the realism of the game.
01:08The difference between the weapons in Back Company 2 and Back Company 2 Vietnam
01:13are actually quite big.
01:14For the North Vietnamese side, you have the AK-47,
01:16you have the PPSH, you have the RPG.
01:19All of them are really rusty and tied together with cloth,
01:21just to give you that ultra-experience of,
01:23you've been in the jungle a long time.
01:25And the same thing goes for the US side.
01:27The US side have M16s, they have the M79 grenade launcher,
01:32you no longer have scopes, you no longer have red dot sights,
01:34you have to get really up close and personal this time just to take someone out.
01:38So, yeah, it gets really intense in Vietnam.
01:42We have two new maps, one called Hill 137,
01:45where you fight up a hill, a luscious jungle,
01:47only to hit a really scorched village.
01:50And the other one is Vantage Point, it's jungle, fishing village,
01:53whole of Vietnam is in there.
01:54Once you clear those two stages, you line in an American base,
01:58and you have to take that.
02:00Also, what we're showing here today is the brand new flamethrower
02:03we've added into the game.
02:04And it really adds some extra flair to the game,
02:06because you can't really hide from a flamethrower.
02:09We always work to perfect our games,
02:12we always want to make our games 100% good.
02:15We want to give the players and our fanbase
02:17the best multiplayer experience we can ever give them.
