00:09What's going on folks, this is Filthy Rich.
00:11This is Ken Ma.
00:12Today we want to welcome you back to Inversion 101
00:14and today we're gonna discuss some in-depth strategies
00:17on offensive gameplay for Inversion.
00:20Alright, so let's talk about the Gravelink first.
00:22I mean the Gravelink is what everyone's always asking about right?
00:25Gravelink is essentially what's gonna let you command gravity.
00:28I mean you're gonna always have it with you.
00:29You have it with you pretty much at the start of the game, and you take it from the enemy.
00:33Take it, use it as a tool of the range, right?
00:35It's going to let you do all these cool things, and Gravelink itself is actually a weapon.
00:40So the Gravelink is a weapon.
00:41So just in case you didn't know, use the Gravelink, experiment with it, pick things up, and show it all
00:45around.
00:46Let's talk about the combinations that you can use with the Gravelink.
00:49So right now, an example that I want to jump into is the use of the Gravelink and low gravity.
00:54So the Gravelink is strategic, and you can't use the Gravelink anywhere you want.
00:58What you have to do is you have to kind of plan out exactly where and how best to use
01:02this.
01:02So for example, when you're starting out in the game, you're probably going to have about two or three shots
01:07of low gravity.
01:08So what you can do is you can use that on that sniper that's hiding behind cover.
01:12You can pull him up out of cover, and then you can use that as a way to distract him.
01:17His aim isn't going to be as good.
01:19Later on, once you get a little bit better, obviously, you can put him up in the low gravity,
01:22and then maybe grab an object out of the environment and throw it at him for a one-shot kill.
01:26That's a really, really cool thing.
01:28Now, let's, you know, we've touched a little bit up on low gravity.
01:30Let's film it on high.
01:32Like, what's a cool situational thing that I would be put in to want to opt out to use high
01:37gravity?
01:37So high gravity, what it's going to do is it's going to increase the weight, you know, three, four times.
01:42Once you hit an enemy with it, you'll see him stuck to the ground.
01:44He's kind of struggling.
01:45You've got about five seconds to decide what you want to do with him at that point.
01:49So, for example, Richard, I know if you're really good at up-close combat, you're like, you're just a master
01:53of the shotgun.
01:55What I can do is I can hit him with heavy gravity, he'll be stuck to the ground, and I
01:58can just count on you to run up and take care of him.
02:06Movement, mobility is an important thing, but another thing you need to touch up on is zero gravity.
02:11Zero gravity is these entire portions of the level where the player, environment, enemies, everything is floating.
02:16Everything is always going to be constantly floating.
02:18That means grenades, they don't land, they go and float until they blow up.
02:22So how am I going to kill people?
02:24He's this way.
02:26Instead of trying to flank them, you can flank them normally, right?
02:29You can kind of bounce between objects with your Gravelink.
02:31Gravelink will let you pull you toward almost like a grappling hook.
02:34You can yank you towards an object.
02:35Once you start getting pulled towards this object, you can take out your shotgun, you can take out your sniper
02:39rifle,
02:40and you've got these cool mid-air battles where you're just kind of shooting at your enemy.
02:44And they'll be doing the same thing to you.
02:46So it's not uncommon to be darting back and forth and trying to get that, line up that perfect shot.
02:50And it just, it looks cool and it plays great.
02:56So the next thing that we're going to cover is vector shifts.
02:59So vector shifts are one of the coolest things in this game.
03:02Playing on two different playing fields against the same type of opponent
03:05and having everything work as they normally would,
03:08but with both priorities, mine and yours, still functioning how it would normally.
03:12But I would just see you on the side of a wall and kill you.
03:15I mean, so if you see, vector shifts aren't just cosmetic.
03:17Everything has completely shifted.
03:19Enemies are going to be running at you from the side of the wall, as you can see.
03:22Now because of that, they've got these different angles on you now.
03:25So your normal cover that you thought was safe is not necessarily going to work the right way.
03:29So they can get these shots on you.
03:31Your cover's already destructible.
03:33It's falling apart.
03:33What you're going to want to do in this situation.
03:35Use your Gravelink.
03:36Find out anything that's around you in the environment.
03:38Anything you can find.
03:39That's right.
03:40So make sure, guys, I hope you enjoyed this episode of Inversion 101
03:43where we talk about all the different offensive strategies.
03:46This is just a tip.
03:47We've got a whole bunch more coming your way.
03:49Stay tuned.
03:49We'll see you next time.
