00:14I just finished giving a preview of Inferno to my good friend Oliver, the President of Iceland
00:18and he was very pleased
00:20and I thought to myself, since I'm showing Inferno to important people today
00:24I have to show it to you guys
00:33So we're in the final stages of tying up the loose ends for Inferno
00:38so EVE's 17th free expansion which is coming out on Tuesday the 22nd of May
00:43We are all at CCP super hyped about it
00:46We're really really excited about the features that we're putting out
00:49and we hope that all of you guys are as well
00:51There's a lot of content in there for our existing players
00:56and there's also a lot of opportunities now for newer players to get their first foot on the lowest rung
01:02of the ladder
01:02and really start competing with some of our older players
01:06One of the key gameplay elements of EVE is player versus player combat
01:12and one of the major features that we're shipping with Inferno
01:14is a complete revamp to our war declaration system
01:18This system enables anybody who's in a corporation to declare war on somebody else
01:25for really whatever reason they want
01:28It's a completely player driven game feature
01:32where if a group of players, young or old, want to start impinging on trade routes
01:40if they want to shoot somebody because they have some territory
01:43if they want to shoot somebody because they have wronged them in some way in the past
01:48and they want to get their own back
01:49This is a mechanism to enable players to engage in combat with other players
01:54anywhere throughout the EVE universe, really on their terms
01:58What we've done with war declarations is remove a whole load of the loopholes
02:01and bugs that have been in there for a long time
02:04but also give players the opportunity to really track their progress in wars
02:08and see how they've done in terms of the number of enemies they've killed
02:11how much damage they've inflicted on their enemies
02:14and to really give some sort of emergent gameplay
02:17so that our players can use a framework to really decide how they want to play the game for their
02:22own ends
02:23Factional warfare also gives our players the chance to really take a first step into help shaping the universe
02:28Through working with other players for your faction you can actually expand your empire's influence
02:34against the other sort of enemy empires
02:37and this really is that sort of first taste as you move towards some of the much deeper EVE gameplay
02:42when you move into NullSec and the full sovereignty game
02:46So this is a really good stepping stone for newer players to understand some of the deeper elements of EVE
02:51but also it's a really good experience for our existing players
02:55who get to try some different things in a different environment
02:59and the changes that we've put in I think will really shake this up
03:01I think it's going to be an awful lot of fun
03:03So Inferno is out on Tuesday, 22nd of May
03:06If you're a new player and have never tried EVE before
03:09you can go to our website and download a free trial
03:11you can give the character creator a go
03:13and really try and get your personality across in how your character looks
03:17and then you can start taking part in all of the features that I've listed already
03:22and hopefully you'll get as much fun out of Inferno as we've had making it
03:25In Inferno we are totally redoing the stealth bombers in the game
03:31still based on the original frigate designs but now even more awesome and cool and unique
03:36and a little bit bigger which means that when you now uncloak to deliver your full payload in the face
03:43of the unknown miner
03:44it's going to feel a lot better and you disappear again
03:47When redoing the launchers and the whole launcher system we were fortunate enough on Team Tri-Lambda
03:53to have both tech art and sound and content creation and art involved so we could do new explosions and
04:01we could do trails and we could do
04:03we could change the system how missile works so now you're not you're not hitting one damage locator on the
04:10ship you're hitting the ship all over
04:11in all directions and all areas
04:14so I'm in new missile launchers new effects new sound effects new stealth bombers
04:21it's just so good
04:22try it

04:29it's time to man the big guns
04:31because war is coming on May 22nd
