00:05search and recovery efforts after flash floods hit Oahu's North Shore on Saturday.
00:11Footage from the U.S. National Guard showed Hawaii National Guard members wading through
00:15floodwaters in the Waialua area, moving past partially submerged vehicles and checking
00:21on stranded residents.
00:22The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the island of Oahu Friday,
00:28as the Honolulu Department of Emergency Management issued mandatory evacuations for communities
00:34in Waialua and Haleiwa following heavy rainfall and flooding across Oahu.
00:39According to the Weather Channel, flooding across Oahu is now the worst Hawaii has seen in
00:45over 20 years.
00:46More than 230 people have been rescued so far, while some 5,500 people remain under evacuation
00:53orders.
