00:00All right, guys, I'm back with another game, and this time it's going to be Puli Rula,
00:06a Sega Saturn from the Arcade Gears Collection.
00:20This is actually a port of a Taito arcade game. It was made quite a while ago. It was made
00:25in 91,
00:25and it was ported over in 97, so there's a bit of a gap there, and the graphics, they still
00:30look
00:30unbelievable. Definitely, you know, Saturn-quality stuff. And this is another game that's just,
00:37it's pretty bizarre. It's got awesome graphics, though, a great, great gameplay system, and yeah,
00:44it's just, it's really fun, so. Very colorful. It's kind of like, I guess I'll say the Japanese
00:49version of, say, like Alice in Wonderland or, like, Little Nemo or something.
00:58Just get past the story, it's all in Japanese.
01:07This is kind of like a side-scrolling action, beat-em-up type thing. Got two players.
01:11Player one is just automatically the boy player. Player two is the girl player. You don't get
01:15a choice, so.
01:30It's got some cool music to it, though. So, A button is, uh, you got a magic wand. B button
01:39jumps, and C button is magic. You got a magic gauge up at the top, kind of like, uh, this
01:43golden axe. You get a certain amount that you can collect. Everything also turns into animals,
01:51um, when you kill it, so. If you collect those animals, you get extra points, and the further
01:57away from the animals you are, they got 350 points for collecting that one. If I was right
02:01on top of it when it appeared, I'd only get 70 points, so.
02:07It doesn't seem to matter which animal, um, you collect. They're all worth about the same
02:11points. It's just how far away from them you are when you collect it.

02:21Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.

03:01So, the storyline has something to do with that key they just stole there, it's a time
03:04key I guess, and, uh, the main bad guy took it in his freezing time all over the place,
03:11So, you're trying to get that key back.
03:22A little world map stage shows you all the rounds.
03:31Just awesome background graphics on this and animations.
03:34Very, very good, especially for when it was made in 91.
