00:00Coming up on this episode of Orange County Choppers Original.
00:04Dr. Smith and Dr. Gopal are so committed.
00:07Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia.
00:10Suggests making part of it look like a brain.
00:12Maybe we will.
00:19Okay, so what's the problem?
00:21So you guys ready to see the motorcycle?
00:30Dude!
00:33I'm Dwight and毒.
00:37Director of the Yas Megan and Dr. Gopal.
00:37...
00:59So typical OCC, Sunday you do an unveil and Monday you're on to the next bike.
01:06Leo is a special guy, he really wanted to do this bike.
01:10So Dr. Smith and Dr. Gopal of the Byrd Institute are so committed to what they do, it's just
01:18great to see.
01:19I think the real ultimate goal though is to find a cure for Alzheimer's and dementia.
01:30When you say Alzheimer's, you know, what does that encompass?
01:34So Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia.
01:37A lot of times people think those terms are interchangeable.
01:41Dementia really just means that you have changes in memory and thinking and it affects your
01:45day to day function and it's a change from how you used to be.
01:49We are studying risk factors.
01:52So what I mean by that is many, many small changes in our genes create a situation where
01:59some of us have greater lifetime risk than the others.
02:03There are lots and lots of lifestyle changes that we can do now to keep the disease at bay.
02:09Among my age group, you know, I have to say that we joke all the time.
02:13My girlfriend's like, okay, third time walking into the kitchen and can't remember why I'm
02:17in here.
02:17You know?
02:17And I'm like, oh, only three drives took me four.
02:20But it is the beginning of your brain starting to...
02:23Right.
02:24But some of that is normal aging, you know?
02:26And it can be hard sometimes to kind of differentiate what that line is.
02:30Every time that you take that bike to an event, people may not walk over to a table that is
02:36about autism or Alzheimer's or, you know, but they walk over to a really cool bike and
02:43it allows you the opportunity to strike up a conversation about it.
02:47You know, when you originally may say, you know, I want to put this logo on there, but
02:50when you're into the middle of the bike, when I'm out, that changes.
02:54My husband wanted to suggest making part of it look like a brain.
02:56Maybe we will.
02:58Okay.
02:59I think that we got enough to take back to the shop with us.
03:03From an R&D perspective, you don't always get the opportunity to really see into what
03:09a company does.
03:10And I really feel like Dr. Smith and Dr. Goebel shared so much with us and what they're doing
03:17and how committed that they are to making a difference in Alzheimer's and how it plays
03:23out.
03:24I personally could have stayed there all day.
03:29We started the Alzheimer's bike.
03:31We already had the frame made, so we, I found a tank that was close that I thought would
03:39work.
03:39But anyhow, Anthony, I gave Anthony a call.
03:43He came over the following day, but he cut the tunnel out, dropped the front on there,
03:48and it looked just like it was made for the bike.
03:50Throwing that frame up here?
03:54Not after you spoke to me that way.
03:57Yeah.
03:58Grab the old axle.
04:00Put it on backwards?
04:01This is not.
04:02It's heavy.
04:05Probably a good spot for the front end is pretty long, you know?
04:08Yeah.
04:09Everything for the front end I'll give you.
04:12Let me get you one under the tree so you know what I'm talking about.
04:15So this goes, this is going to go like this here.
04:18This is going to be like that, right?
04:21So you have these here.
04:22You're going to put it like a little whatchamacallit here, so when you turn it...
04:26Oh wait, the weld's up more.
04:28It'll hit.
04:29Do you want to put the motor and the trans in first, set it in there?
04:32Whatever you want to do.
04:34Yeah, because we're going to have to do that to do the chain.
04:51I always talk highly of you, Mike.
04:53You don't?
04:55No you don't.
04:56You probably don't even speak to me at all.
04:59Your other children and how smart and successful they are.
05:02I'll be honest with you, Mike, when it's just me and him, he talks about you constantly.
05:07Really?
05:15Mike.
05:16Yeah?
05:17How do you like working with Christian?
05:18It's awesome.
05:19He's nice to me.
05:20Does it remind you of the old days?
05:22Yep.
05:23Yeah?
05:23Even if you're having a bad day, if you're having something going on in your life, you
05:26know what I mean?
05:27Just spend like five, ten minutes with Mikey and things just really turn around.
05:33He's one of those guys, if you can't get along with him, I think there's probably something
05:37wrong with you.
05:38Do we want to open up SMT wheels now?
05:42We do.
05:42Wait and see these wheels, buddy.
05:44These are going to be nice.
05:45I got a missed call for the whole scene.
05:47Yeah, I did for you.
05:48I don't even know where we were.
05:50Oh, man.
05:51Here's the air cleaner.
05:56The thing of his bike is purple.
06:02It's getting dangerous and closer than we were.
06:05These are the theme.
06:07Like these two colors.
06:08Awesome.
06:09Or dementia.
06:12Dementia.
06:13Get the pestle.
06:14Get the pestle.
06:15Think of that wheel.
06:21Nice.
06:22How nice is that, man?
06:23It's beautiful.
06:24I didn't know you had to view the sprocket like that.
06:26Yeah, I wanted to offset it with the other colors.
06:28Nice.
06:29Go get your front wheel.
06:30Let's give him his front wheels.
06:32Here.
06:37Mike, what are you doing?
06:38He was excited with the wheels.
06:40Very nice hanging out with the old man, you know?
06:42Yeah?
06:43Yeah, sure.
06:44He's getting old.
06:46Tell him I said that.
06:48Yeah, man.
06:49But it's nice or that he's getting old.
07:09We put it back together.
07:11I mean, that's good enough to put a chain on.
07:13Yeah.
07:15Mike, do you have the tire?
07:19You want that a little bit?
07:21A little.
07:21Yeah?
07:22Just a little.
07:33Now, we can do one of two things here, Jim.
07:37Jimbo.
07:38What's that called?
07:39Only your good friends call you Jimbo, right?
07:41They do, Paulie.
07:42That's correct.
07:42You should be honored.
07:43I am honored.
07:45I don't think you are.
07:47No, does he?
07:47I don't think you realize.
07:50The only reason I'm doing the episode is so people can see how honored I am.
07:53Yes.
07:53I want it documented so when I pass away, people will be like Jim.
07:58He was really honored to work together.
08:00We're funky.
08:01We're getting funky, man.
08:02You know what?
08:02Maybe, maybe you'd use red for the pinstriping too.
08:10That looks good.
08:12I like it.
08:30It's coming along good.
08:31You know, the chain, we got the, you know, we're going to have to space out the sprocket a little
08:36bit, but that's just standard stuff.
08:37Motors in a transit, and I think that, I don't know, I'm, I'm, for the half a day that we
08:42put in, I'm, I'm more than happy.
08:45Ah, you .
08:47Let's get on.
09:25I'm just stealing the head pipes off this other exhaust.
09:29Saved me a little bit of time today.
09:31Got to get going on, uh, baking the pipes on this bike.
09:34I think we're going to do something crazy with the exhaust.
09:36Me and Christian were talking about it.
09:37I wanted to kind of go through the, the backside of this frame, and I think that'll be a cool
09:42look.
09:43Maybe have it, uh, come around the motor like this.
09:47You know, kind of do some bends through here, and then pipe it, the exhaust out the back of the,
09:51uh, frame right here.
09:53I think that would give it a really cool look.
09:56That's not normal now.
09:59That's how I do that.
09:59That's not impressive.
10:00That's pretty cool.
10:01Yeah, my 5-3.
10:19That's pretty cool.
10:24Alright, let's get a bit more.
10:24If you want to take a bit moreiben of speed that this time that's free for the mini rod.
10:24Per i got 29 and put mine on the other side scores I decided right on.
10:28Yeah, I'm thinking something like that, but, you know, more of a 90.
10:33On top of each other or next?
10:35Next to each other.
10:36Like that.
10:39Okay.
10:40I'm digging it so far.
10:42You know what I mean?
10:42Yeah.
10:43I think that would look cool.
10:44And then do those teardrops and then kick it out this way.
10:47Like it's dumped out that way.
10:50Yeah.
10:50All right.
10:50We got things to do, Jim.
10:52Get your out of my way over here, right?
10:54Mike.
10:55Thanks, buddy.
10:56I'm going to need you today.
10:57You ever get a panic attack, wake up with a panic attack?
11:00Yeah.
11:00What?
11:00A nightmare?
11:01Yeah.
11:02Yeah.
11:02You know what really, like, the thing that happens to me quite often, like when that happens,
11:10is I'm in water and like I'll go underneath the water and can't find my way back out.
11:16So you're like drowning.
11:18That's most people's worst fear.
11:20I hate you.
11:21I get nightmares, too.
11:22I'm telling you.
11:23I get sleep paralysis sometimes.
11:25Huh?
11:25I get sleep paralysis.
11:27What's that?
11:28It's like when you fall asleep, but then you wake up, your mind's awake.
11:32Oh, I hate you.
11:33Your body's not.
11:34I hate you.
11:35And you think about the same thing over and over and over and over, right?
11:39I don't think people, people don't realize the pressure of doing this.
11:45And it's not just pressure on me.
11:47It's on pressure.
11:47It's, it's, it's, it's, it's pressure on the production team.
11:50It's, it's, it's pressure on everybody because everybody has a commitment.
11:55Where's Mike?
11:56Chuck them in there.
11:57What's up?
11:59We're going to work together today.
12:01We're going to do it.
12:01You're going to be an apprentice, my apprentice.
12:04And you'll learn a lot because I've been around a long time and I have a lot of experience.
12:09Oh yeah?
12:09Yeah.
12:10I believe it.
12:11And every time that you make a mistake, I'm going to put your hand on the table and hit it
12:14with a ball-peen hammer.
12:16One finger at a time.
12:17Okay.
12:17With a ball-peen hammer.
12:19Smash.
12:19Huh?
12:20Smash the finger.
12:21You'll learn.
12:22Quick.
12:35Now the chain, we had no choice but to run it really close to the tire, off of the tire,
12:39but close.
12:40And I had to cut away more of the rear fender.
12:43And, you know, with custom bikes, it's, it's one of those things, it's nothing, never just bolts together.
12:48You know, you're chopping it up.
12:49You gotta, you gotta make sparks.
12:51You gotta make stuff happen.
13:09Logo.
13:10Then you could just round this off a little bit, right?
13:12Yeah.
13:13I can.
13:14I, I, I kind of like that right there, bro.
13:18Oh, you f***.
13:20You are looking at art.
13:22F***.
13:23Why did I f*** you got, you don't have a boot ground.
13:25I got zapped.
13:27This is not grounded.
13:29Can you get me a pair of gloves?
13:30Man.
13:31It's grounded.
13:31You need a pair of gloves?
13:33It's grounded to the.
13:34The fender's not grounded, though.
13:37Boy, did I get zapped.
13:38Did that wake you up a little bit?
13:40Hilarious.
13:40You can see his pucker up real close.
13:43Well, the other one was sticking out there.
13:45Maybe cut it like half an inch or something.
13:49There?
13:5097.
13:51Cut it.
13:52Put it on the lathe and just whack it off.
13:55Like that.
13:57There.
13:58I can't see it from the back.
14:01Feels like it should be close.
14:03It's close.
14:06So when he tacked the bottom one on,
14:09you've got to hold it and then push this side.
14:11We can wedge up and down as you move.
14:15And it's just one of those things.
14:18I don't know.
14:19It should be the standard.
14:21I don't know if we're putting front directions on it.
14:23I don't think we're going to tack.
14:24Brush it.
14:25Line it up.
14:26Now you look from the back.
14:27Does he got the thing cut there?
14:28Line it up.
14:29You look from the back.
14:31You've got to pull the bottom over there.
14:34Nothing's set up right here.
14:36Nothing.
14:37Nothing's holding up the fender.
14:38What are you doing over here?
14:40Let me see what you're doing over here.
14:42What are you doing over here?
14:43Let me see.
14:44What are you...
14:45You got that tack to there?
14:47So what are you going to tack it up here now?
14:49Yeah, it's too short.
14:50It's too short?
14:52Can you weld it?
14:53Weld the thing.
14:57What's too short?
14:58I made it too short?
15:00Why are you telling me you cut half of them?
15:01Why?
15:02I don't give a...
15:03I don't care if it's in the center of the frame.
15:05Nobody's going to see it.
15:05I touched the frame so I could weld it there.
15:07It was just touching the frame.
15:09It wasn't.
15:09Okay.
15:10It's got to be in there like that.
15:12Yeah, that's where it needs to be.
15:13Okay, so what's the problem?
15:15Christian, you got a minute over here
15:17and get this thing tacked on.
15:19Paul, he's Paul.
15:20He's a little rough around the edges,
15:21and he just is how he is.
15:24You know, I think he means really well most of the time,
15:27and he's a good dude, but he's harsh sometimes.
15:53I got a lot from you,
15:55so it's really not you, you know what I mean?
15:57Yeah, no, I apologize.
15:59It's just...
15:59It's all right, man.
16:00I'm really stressed, you know what I mean?
16:02He hung in there, man,
16:03and I think that's what you got to do.
16:05You got to get over the Paul Sr. hump,
16:07and then, you know, it's a little easier after that.
16:12I'm a pretty hot-headed guy.
16:14I always have been.
16:16The difference today is I realized it right away, you know,
16:19and I was wrong.
16:20You know, you shouldn't talk to anybody like that, you know?
16:23My wife wouldn't let me get away with that, that's for sure.
16:27But, you know, I realized I was wrong, you know,
16:29and I apologize.
16:30You know, people aren't perfect.
16:32I'm not perfect, you know?
16:34It's who I am,
16:35and I try to do the best I can after I screw up.
16:41You know, hopefully, you know, moving on from there,
16:44it seems that we have a better relationship.
16:45Well, I'm just saying I apologize for antagonizing you.
16:50You didn't antagonize me.
16:53Well, I did electrocate you, though, and...
16:56Sorry, it's a wash.
16:58Yeah, yeah, that didn't help.
17:01And now my hands are wet.
17:02Why don't you come over here and weld this thing up?
17:12Yesterday, we had a lot of difficulty putting the rear fender on,
17:15which we shouldn't have, because we usually don't.
17:17End result was it came out good.
17:19We got the front end on.
17:20We got the fender on.
17:22Drew did a really good job on the exhaust.
17:26Got to go to work.
17:27Yeah, I gave Anthony a call.
17:29He came over right away,
17:31and, you know, he looked at it,
17:32and, you know, Anthony's just good with everything that we do.
17:37And then this is the ring-rolled piece that I got, okay?
17:40So you get this up there,
17:42and you're gonna cut this in half,
17:44and you're gonna put it on here.
17:45You're gonna sleeve it into here.
17:46And then leave it, and then let it go where I want it to.
17:49Perfect, okay?
17:50Yeah, perfect.
17:51I mean, the only thing that we got left
17:54is mounting the front caliper.
17:56I'm not so sure how that's gonna move.
17:59The bars and the handlebars.
18:01Yeah.
18:02Let's drop it down for a second.
18:04So that's good, that's good, that's good.
18:06Where my hand is here, like this, that's probably...
18:12It's good.
18:13Your wrist is pretty straight.
18:14Your elbow's good.
18:15They're gonna be, like, out.
18:18You want them that long?
18:19Well, they're gonna be, like, 40 inches wide or so.
18:22I'm just wondering if the rise is too high.
18:24I'll have to cut it here, slug it back a little bit like that,
18:27get the curve, and then at this where it gets straight up,
18:31right here is where the control will have to be.
18:33Right.
18:33And then we'll just kick it forward.
18:35Okay.
18:36You know what I mean?
18:36Yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:37And then drop this down an inch in half.
18:38When I get back from lunch, it better be done.
18:40All right.
18:42You heard that, Daisy?
18:44I'm kind of used to it at this point,
18:46which makes it a little bit easier.
18:47I think if anyone else came in here and heard the way he talks,
18:50would definitely be put back a little bit.
18:53Honestly, I think the reason why there's always so much tension
18:57is because there's not a woman in the room,
18:59because I feel like if any woman was in the room
19:02with the arguing that goes back and forth, it's comical.
19:04It's, like, I don't know, very interesting,
19:09the things that they get mad and heated over,
19:11and then it's like that and done and over with.
19:13Yeah, it's a lot better day today.
19:15Yeah, we were kind of butting heads a little bit,
19:17but, you know, we talked it out, and, you know, everything's good.
19:20So, back to work, as usual.
19:35Yeah.
19:36I could live with that.
19:38All right.
19:40Very nice.
19:41Yeah.
19:44Okay, Maestro.
19:45It's like you're busy doing something with him.
19:47You know what I mean?
19:48I'm Dr. Dominic Tenari.
19:49I have a practice up in Spring Hill, Florida.
19:52I just enjoy taking care of people,
19:54and if I can take care of them, they're like family to me,
19:56so anything I can do to help.
19:57We're kind of like brothers in a sense, you know,
20:00and he's a real-deal guy, you know.
20:02If it doesn't matter what's going on or what's going down,
20:06he's there, and so there's not a lot of people
20:09I can count on like that.
20:10We'll live all the lives in there.
20:11Oh, good.
20:12That fire is there.
20:14Make sure you're all loosened up in there.
20:18Things weren't going as well as we expected.
20:20I think we overcame the couple obstacles we had.
20:22Things are going well now.
20:23Drew's finishing up welding on the bike,
20:25finished tearing it down,
20:26and hopefully we can get everything out to paint and powder
20:27cord in the morning.
20:44So we're finally breaking down the bike.
20:47Right now, we got it all the way down to the frame.
20:49Drew's got to still do some welding on it.
20:51A lot of it's done, but he's still got to finish welding that off.
20:54He's got to finish welding the gas tank off.
20:56This is purple.
20:57Okay.
20:58And then whatever you would decide on.
21:00Because it's going to get covered.
21:02You're only going to really see that much of it.
21:03Okay.
21:04So if you want to do it in black, purple,
21:05whatever you want to do that in.
21:06That's fine.
21:06Whatever you've got in the gun is fine for that.
21:08All right, yeah, let's put this in first.
21:10Because I want to just put this in the back seat.
21:11You got to go in the back seat.
21:12All right, got it.
21:14Here, if you want to set it.
21:15There you go.
21:15I'll get you in.
21:16All right, let me get on the side.
21:17Yep.
21:21We went to Enclave Motorsports.
21:23I did it once before,
21:25but this was a whole totally different trip, man.
21:35Hey, what's going on?
21:36What's up, man?
21:37We're going to go upstairs,
21:38give you a quick description of the driving program
21:40you're going to be doing,
21:41and all the ramp-to-ramp jumps and hoops of fire that you have.
21:45That's why you signed the waiver.
21:48Come on upstairs.
21:49Let's get you started.
21:50Yeah.
21:53Mike, that should be the car that we have at the crew house.
21:56I know.
21:57Right?
21:57Yeah.
21:58It was the neighborhood.
21:59Everybody there would like me more.
22:01It might take a little while to get to work.
22:02That's okay.
22:02Thank you, Terry.
22:06Be careful, Mike.
22:07You've got my daughter in the car.
22:38Ha, ha, ha.
22:54You got sick last time you did this?
22:56A long time.
23:09You got sick last time.
23:38You got sick last time.
23:56Good luck, John.
24:00The same good habits that we talked about in the driver's meeting.
24:02Being smooth with our inputs.
24:04Brake, brake, brake, brake, brake, brake.
24:05Smoother steering, way smoother steering.
24:07Be patient, be patient.
24:08Looking ahead.
24:10Brake, brake, brake, brake.
24:10Turn hard, turn hard, turn hard, turn hard.
24:12Need you to come to a complete stop in two places.
24:15Oh, no.
24:17I did a lot better than I thought I would, but, you know,
24:20it kind of sucks, like, losing to your wife.
24:24Yeah.
24:25It was cool, man.
24:26It was great.
24:27It was a lot of fun.
24:28I let Anthony take both turns, and it was a good choice
24:31because he was just having fun.
24:33Really fun to hang out with the crew and, you know,
24:35kind of get out of the shop a little bit,
24:37and burn some rubber, baby.
24:39Yeah, man.
24:40We had a good time.
24:41Fast cars.
24:42Good people.
24:43Can't beat it.
24:44And our winner today, with a 17.374!
24:49Woo!
24:54Earl Callum!
24:57Let's hear it for our top three!
24:59Yay!
25:02I'm glad the clock wasn't working.
25:04Joe, in the history of motorsports, is this your first win?
25:08Absolutely.
25:10How does it feel to be a winner for all these fast people?
25:14Feels great to be on top.
25:17But then, all of a sudden, I started turning right when I needed to turn left,
25:20and I put gas instead of brakes, so I got it all twisted up.
25:23But, you know, hopefully I'll do a little bit better in Daytona.
25:26I think they gave me a simulator that didn't steer good.
25:31Sour grapes, anyway.
25:33Paul said, if we get invited back again, I'll come back again and improve.
25:38That's for sure.
25:39Fun.
25:40A lot of laughs.
25:40I don't think I've seen anybody in the group laughing quite this much in the last six weeks.
25:46I had, like, a vehicle that reminded me of the show Mr. Bean.
25:51Paid pretty good time.
25:52I didn't want to shame anybody, so I stayed off the gas a little.
25:55It was a great day.
25:57It was a great day.
25:58It was a great day.
25:58I'm a car guy, so I love cars.
26:01It definitely was worth the day out.
26:10You like it?
26:11Sure.
26:14Mike, you like it?
26:38That's the bars you made, right, Joe?
26:40Yeah.
26:40I made these.
26:41Well, my idea.
26:43Yeah, you told me how to make them.
26:45You know?
26:46It wasn't for me.
26:47Hmm.
26:50Yeah, I'd say let's strap a receipt on.
26:51That way you can sit on it.
27:11Boy, that's a crusher.
27:13Yeah.
27:14Oh, my God.
27:15See, I'll help another.
27:21Like, the bikes that we're building now are totally different than the bikes that we built
27:25on Discovery previous things, because everyone was a, everyone was, like, a theme bike, and,
27:32you know, an extreme, you know what I mean?
27:34Yeah.
27:34And I just think that...
27:36Yeah.
27:37It was cool, though.
27:38You know what I mean?
27:38It was cool.
27:39I thought it was creative.
27:39Yeah.
27:40But, you know, there was an error for that.
27:42Yeah.
27:42I don't, I mean, I dig, I dig building these type of bikes more so.
27:48I mean, really, this bike here, you could ride anywhere.
27:51Yeah.
27:51You know what I mean?
27:52I mean, it's a comfortable bike, you know?
27:55Oh, yeah.
27:55Yeah.
27:55I think we got something done on the bike today.
27:59It looks like they're kind of making some forward progress, not running into too many bumps,
28:04and it's going pretty smooth.
28:08So, the best part of the day today was my son, Dan.
28:12He came by, he was on his honeymoon, and he flew into Clearwater over here and surprised
28:19me.
28:20Last night, I went home.
28:21It was the first time in being here.
28:23So, it was great to see him and his wife and spend the day together.
28:30I'm glad he got to see the restaurant.
28:31I think he really enjoyed himself.
28:33You know, he did a little sightseeing.
28:36So, yeah, it was a good day.
28:37Really excited about this, especially after seeing the picture.
28:41Oh, yeah.
28:44Today, I want to get the oil tank lines run, get the air filter situated.
28:48We have to do some modifications, a little fabrication for that to go on and fit.
28:52We've got to space the rear sprocket out a little bit for chain alignment purposes.
28:57Hopefully, get the brake lines run, throttle cable, stuff like that.
29:01It's just as far as we can go.
29:02We'll be pretty close, I think, by the end of today.
29:04We're still waiting on the paint that should be coming in the next couple days.
29:08Hopefully, that's going to be the last thing that's going to be bolted on to finish the bike.
29:14Ow!
29:15Ow!
29:15Ow!
29:19All right, have a good day.
29:20I think we need to do, like, .
29:23It's stuck up over the pulpit.
29:26Ken sent me the paint this morning.
29:28Wow.
29:29Wow.
29:49Yeah, I mean, I think things are going a little bit smoother today, so we're going to work on the
29:53primary, get the primary on there.
29:56And I'm hoping to get maybe 90% done today.
30:00Tomorrow we get the paint and a few other miscellaneous things.
30:03But I think we're doing good. I think we're okay. Yeah.
30:06We got a problem, dude.
30:11We can't have a problem.
30:13We don't we?
30:14What's the matter?
30:16Here, and here, we're not even on.
30:19For a quarter inch up ahead, it's still got to go in.
30:24Just .
30:26How is that possible?
30:28You had a chain on this.
30:30Did you have this primary on it?
30:32No, I had the other one. Same primary.
30:34No, it's a BDL.
30:36But it should be the same.
30:39A quarter inch.
30:43How is that possible?
30:47Because, let me ask you this, dude.
30:49Did he have...
30:50What size tire is this?
30:52280.
30:53Did he have, like, a 240 on there?
30:55That makes sense to me.
30:58Because you can't go...
31:00The other frame's a 240.
31:04Brands is a 240.
31:06What I'm saying is, you can't go...
31:09If you had a 240 wheel here,
31:11this could be over where you need it to be.
31:13Say, half of an inch that way.
31:16Almost, you know...
31:17There's not a lot of difference between a 240 and a 280.
31:21I mean, there's some.
31:22There's probably not that much.
31:23But not, not, I don't even...
31:24There's that much difference.
31:26We got the chain on.
31:27We got the spacing right on the sprockets.
31:29And we went to...
31:31Put the, uh, inner primary on.
31:34And, uh...
31:35And it don't fit.
31:36It's a...
31:36It needs to go in a half inch.
31:39And the way that it's set up, uh...
31:42With the tire, um...
31:45And the sprocket in the front.
31:47It's the opposite.
31:49So...
31:49You're stuck in the same position that you're in.
31:52You can't move one way or the other way.
31:55Um...
31:56Because there's just no tolerance.
31:58Um...
31:58You get the transmission up.
31:59Instead of disconnecting even the oil lines,
32:01I bet we can just kind of hang that down.
32:03Well, let's get the transmission out of there and look at it, right?
32:08All right.
32:10So I went to the very edge.
32:13I went to the inside of that ledge.
32:16That's as far as you can go without hacking.
32:17That's as far as you can go without hacking into the...
32:19Deep taking off all of that.
32:20Yeah, because you can feel it straight down now.
32:22You know what I'm saying?
32:23Like, it's...
32:23It's nice.
32:24This still gotta go...
32:26It's hung up on the dowel.
32:28It's not because of the transmission.
32:29I think it's just like the...
32:31You don't even hate nothing.
32:33Nope.
32:57Good?
32:57Mm-hmm.
33:02Well, we're doing good.
33:03You know, I think that, uh...
33:05Again, I think that we're probably gonna be close to being finished today.
33:09Ken's done with the tins.
33:11So he's gonna overnight that.
33:14And, uh, we'll have that tomorrow.
33:17What do we got there, Jim?
33:19Guess if it's the tins.
33:24I'm really excited about this.
33:25Especially ever seeing the picture.
33:28Oh, yeah.
33:42I tell you, that's cool.
33:46This particular bike really needs a spoiler, you know?
33:49Oh, yeah.
33:50That's gonna look good.
33:51Very nice.
33:54This is...
33:55This is the drum roll.
33:56This is the one up here.
33:58This is the hơn.
34:04Oh!
34:11Really nice.
34:13Hmm.
34:13This is going to look crazy on there, you know?
34:18very nice Ken outdid himself a lot of people are not crazy about purple but I've always liked it
34:27I was telling Christian we did I did a purple bike for somebody who didn't like it I wound up
34:32keeping it myself the color contrast is phenomenal and again you know it's just another another great
34:37paint job that that Ken's done so I'm really excited to you know get these we should be able
34:45to mount these on today and yeah I'm really happy with it yeah
35:24nice fit whoops that's our boy that's our boy it's a good fit oh does this go on this side
35:33of the
35:33frame one goes down and one goes on top that's what the it was oh here we go I wasn't
35:42here when
35:42you finished it man that's my excuse I was like this we were trying to match them down there right
35:52I got it if we made that work that would have been a pretty impressive yeah you know I mean
36:01we're going down this afternoon so get your gear light that up
36:21besides not spark
36:32how you doing boy hey man huh any particular name you want today Chuck Chuck's good
36:42as long as we're guessing it'll should fire up I smell the gas
37:04fire it off immediately um like probably quicker than the last four or five six bikes that we did
37:11get fired at Ross and it actually sounded good uh I don't think Christian had to adjust the carburetor
37:16too much at all but uh we'll get we'll get it um you know all go over the bike and
37:21then uh we'll we'll
37:22take her out for a spin that looks really nice you fired right up sounded good so it should be
37:32should
37:32be good to go yeah so the night before uh the unveil it wouldn't start
37:50spark plus this side's not sparking Christian went through the whole system of what he thought the
37:58possibilities were and he believed me when I tell you he knows he's a good mechanic Christian good
38:04good with electric it he worked for me for a long time and uh he stayed probably another two and
38:10a half
38:10hours he was not leaving until he got it
38:22there was getting too much voltage drop to the ignition module while cranking this was going below
38:2612 volts and when I ran a direct lead from the battery hot to the ignition module it'll fire right
38:32up when it's getting full juice so it was one of those things you of course it happens you know
38:37at
38:38whatever hour of the night it is right now and the bikes you know going out tomorrow you know I
38:48think
38:48people they have no idea what to expect they get a whole different vision other than the one that
38:53they had before we had the opportunity here to see what was going on and I was fascinated I could
39:05have stayed here all day to see the great work that you're doing and I hope that this bike will
39:10bring
39:11more awareness so that we can have more research development and let's find a cure for Alzheimer's
39:17and give everybody their memory back because that's all we have so you guys ready to see the motorcycle
39:41so we just got done with the Alzheimer's unveil and it went great the crowd was awesome the bike came
39:46out Paul riding it it sounded amazing coming up the hill you just saw the purple and teal coming up
39:51and
39:51it was amazing Leo loved it everybody loved it Leo said he just always wanted to honor him
39:57father was this brilliant writer an amazing human being and it also bring awareness to Alzheimer's and
40:05dementia what amazing bike I think we're gonna strike up so many conversations good people
40:10involved another one-of-a-kind from OCC and I think we knocked it out of the park you can
40:14see on
40:15the people's faces how excited and emotional it is for them so when that happens I always feel that we
40:23did
40:23our job I really thank OCC for participating in this event we are glad to be part of this this
40:30old
40:30endeavor I really love that you guys chose us to be part of this and I like to see where
40:37this stays
40:37actually this quote until Alzheimer's is a memory is in my email signature so every time I send a
40:43message to someone that's the message that I'm sending out so I'm so excited that the same message
40:48is going to be on this bike going all around the country the audience here is so engaged you know
40:53this
40:53is something close to their heart they're working every day to make Alzheimer's a memory that was weak
41:03yeah
41:04yeah
41:04yeah
