00:05Il mio nome è Greg Jackson, e sono un instructor di X-Martial Arts.
00:12Ci train amateurs, professionisti in molti di organizzazioni, ma sì,
00:16there's, oh boy, I don't know how many we've got, 20, 25, maybe in the UFC,
00:19something like that, è un numero straffi.
00:20Definitivamente il primo camp in the UFC, for sure.
00:25Georges St. Pierre dice un time che io era la maestro,
00:27I'm the guy that taps and plays the symphony in the corner.
00:31I'm an extra pair of eyes on the outside,
00:33so I'm asking them to watch out for certain things or do certain things.
00:36Or just reminding that they're in there doing a good job.
00:39I do that a lot.
00:40And if I do my job right, then cornering's the easiest thing in the world.
00:43If I do my job wrong, then I'm kind of the last line of defense to try to save it.
00:47And sometimes I can't, and sometimes I can't.
00:51Well, a decision tree can be looked at either microly or macroly.
00:55And macro is a lot easier to understand.
00:57And macroly, you can say,
00:59do I want to throw a left punch or a right punch?
01:02That's called a cluster.
01:03Well, imagine if you could do certain movement patterns
01:06to make that fight predictable.
01:08So say, I am going to move in a place
01:10where all he can do is hit me with this right hand.
01:12So then I'm just waiting for it.
01:14As soon as that right hand comes, I go, there it is.
01:16I knew it was coming, and then you're ready for it.
01:18It gives you that predictability.
01:19It gives you that confidence,
01:20and that lets you keep the initiative and lets you win the fight.
01:22That's a very important concept.
01:24So if you start thinking like that,
01:25you're not just thinking, okay, I'm going to come out,
01:27and I'm going to throw two jabs and a right hand,
01:29and then I'm going to see what happens.
01:30If you're thinking to yourself,
01:32I want to put myself in a position
01:33that the very nature of his blocking my jab
01:36allows me to hit him with a right hand,
01:38then you're in a structure
01:39where you're maximizing your chances for success.
01:41That Jon Jones-Shogun fight,
01:44Shogun was covering his hands high a lot,
01:46trying to defend his head from Jon's very powerful strikes.
01:48So at one point, Jon, understanding that,
01:51had a decision to either throw a left hook at his head,
01:53which was then blocked,
01:55or throw it at his liver.
01:57So he stepped in and was able to really do some serious damage to the liver
02:00because he had done so many shots to the head.
02:03That set up predictability in a system,
02:05and that's a lot of what clustering is.
02:07It makes fighting predictable.
02:09Having that in mind,
02:10all you're doing is clustering over and over and over.
02:13You're just putting yourself in these positions
02:14where no matter what they do,
02:16they're going to get nailed.
02:19The process is the only thing that I own.
02:21I don't own that victory.
02:23Like, the victory is theirs,
02:24but the process is mine and the fighters' together.
02:26Like, we share that.
02:28Every day we share that.
02:29So when we win,
02:30I'm happy for about a minute and a half,
02:32and then I just want to do it again.
02:34UFC Undisputed III,
02:35your move.
