00:27Afti writes about another 45,000 lines of code
00:30Today we want to give you a walkthrough of Star Command
00:32A starship management game coming out for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
00:37Including iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac, and PC
00:40So let's get started
00:42Star Command begins at the beginning
00:44With the creation of your captain
00:46You can select your gender, hair color, and even your species
00:50As you complete missions in the game
00:52You can even unlock strange new alien races
00:54To serve on your ship as crew members
00:57Let's give our new badass leader a befitting name
00:59And start creating our ship
01:03Star Command is a game that is focused on two things
01:05Your crew and your ship
01:07When you create your ship you will have options for color, full type, and name
01:12Again, let's start our brand new ship off right with a badass name
01:23Welcome to your ship
01:24Right now up to Sparkle Magic is orbiting Earth
01:27Your captain is your sole crew member
01:29Wandering around the halls crying himself to sleep alone at night
01:34Selection and movement of crew members is easy to do in Star Command
01:38You just select a crew member and touch where you want to go
01:43We also don't want him to succumb to the loneliness of space and subsequently vent himself out in airlock
01:48Let's give him some friends to help him run the Sparkle Magic
01:51The crew is populated with the various species you will meet during your travels
01:55It's inevitable that many of your crew you hire
01:58Will eventually suffer through a fiery, painful, horrible death
02:02So don't get too attached just yet
02:06Part of the difficulty of running a ship in Star Command
02:08Will be keeping the veterans alive
02:11Their skills and experience will prove to be invaluable
02:13And like all good games, amazingly frustrating to build back up
02:17Let's take a look at what makes your crew tick
02:20Here we have your crew details, including their name, assignment, and progress towards their next rank
02:26Underneath, you have their ranking in each of the game classes
02:28Science in blue, tactical in red, and engineering in yellow
02:32As time goes on, your crew member's assignments will give them higher ratings in each of the appropriate areas
02:37As your crew member gets more experience, they will rank up
02:40Allowing them to unlock skills like grenades, faster movement speeds, more health, and the ability to revive dying crew members
02:48Now let's take a look at making ships
02:49Each room on your ship can produce unique tokens
02:52These tokens are used for things like research, building rooms, scanning new star systems, or upgrading rooms to become more
02:59powerful
03:00Tokens represent your crew working and doing their jobs
03:03It's basically a self-contained, in-game economy that requires patience
03:07And can't be bypassed by spending real money
03:10Because you don't want to actually play the game
03:13There was a time when this feature was actually considered gameplay
03:16Remember that?
03:18Neither do we
03:18So now that we have a few tokens, let's use them to build new rooms inside the Sparkle Magic
03:23In Star Command, each room serves a unique and important purpose
03:27Blue rooms are science related and can help you recharge shields or heal crew faster
03:32Yellow rooms are engineering related and can help you dodge incoming attacks or repair more efficiently
03:37Lastly, red rooms are the centers of death and destruction
03:40These are tactical rooms and can help your crew do more damage and make your weapons recharge faster
03:45All this results in the deaths of alien species that are, frankly, weaker and less worthy of continued existence
03:51It is also important to have crew members man their posts
03:54If you send out a crew to attack invaders or repair a hull breach, your room will function less efficiently
04:01Each color room indicates a unique area of expertise for your crew
04:05Blue science members have the ability to heal other crew members
04:09Red tactical members have the ability to attack invaders
04:12And yellow crew members can repair ship damage
04:15Each room can be upgraded with bonuses
04:17These range from making weapons more powerful, giving your crew perks
04:21Or just making the Sparkle Magic more badass than it already is
04:25Alright, so we have an elite crew ready to die for us
04:29Shipped armed to the hilt with alien-destroying power
04:32And rooms that will supplement our subjugation and races to our will all throughout the universe
04:37Let's embark upon our first mission
04:40In Star Command, the decisions you make with other leaders can lead to important tactical advantages
04:45Or one-of-a-kind rewards
04:47In this case, we have a very hard decision to make in response to Admiral Wakari
04:52I think we'll go with, yes sir
04:59Now we have navigation
05:00Here you can browse the locations in the galaxy that you're in and explore unknown areas
05:06Unlocking other areas requires research and new tokens
05:08For now, let's just set our destination to Mercury
05:12And we're off
05:13Let's go find some hot green alien chicks
05:39My loyal crew has discovered the mining vessel
05:42They'll give me updates on the current status of the mission periodically
05:52It looks like we're getting a hail
06:00Our first contact, the Antorians
06:03These are a warlike species that shoot first and ask questions later
06:07And it looks like that's exactly what's going to happen
06:29We've switched to combat mode
06:31During combat, the interface changes
06:34On the top, you'll see your enemies' hull and shield status
06:37As well as their charging weapons
06:40On the bottom, you'll see your weapons and special abilities
06:43Every time one of these charges
06:45You can touch them to fire weapons, dodge attacks, and recharge your shields
06:50Every time you fire your weapons, a minigame will pop up
06:53Each weapon has its own unique minigame
07:06Hi there's a shield
07:08I'm using the pin
07:10I'm using the pin
07:11It's a big message
07:13I'm using the pin
07:13I'm using the pin
07:14You can't even use the pin
07:14I'm using the pin
07:41Once your shields are down, your ship will start taking hold of it.
07:45Fires will break out, your crew can be injured, and in a worse case scenario, your hull ruptures and your
07:51crew are sucked into space.
08:29A few weeks later, we will be able to figure out how to fight, and in a worse case scenario,
08:45your crew can be injured.
08:46Victory!
08:47We have defeated our enemies.
08:52It looks like we need to get back to Earth
08:54to record in what's starting.
08:55So let's do that.
09:39If we get back to Earth
09:43you'll enjoy play it and perform
10:05So, with those upgrades completed,
10:08let's head over to Venus and investigate an unidentified SOS signal.
10:11Now, let's sit back and see what awaits the sparkle magic in Venus.
10:42никак.
11:10If you're based on selfies and death,
11:15It looks like we've taken on some Litorian refugees onto our ship.
11:18We will have to defend them from any threats that may arise.
12:06You know, you will be back in the shadows.
12:34Grazie a tutti.
12:55Grazie a tutti.
13:15Grazie a tutti.
