00:00Hi guys, today I thought we'd have a look at a game called Bubble Bobble on the Sega Master System.
00:06Now there's been a lot of talk about this over on the RoleMuk forum, so surprised by that.
00:11I had it in my collection, so I thought we'd dig it out and have a playthrough.
00:17Now as you can probably tell, there's no music, just very minimal sound, which does go against it a bit.
00:27So let's just start.
00:30One player start.
00:33I'll take it back, there is some music.
00:43Oh, it's just the title screen and the demos, I don't have any music to them.
00:54Now this is supposed to be one of the best 8-bit conversions of Bubble Bobble.
01:05Dead easy to control, er, C on the Mega Drive Pad, which I assume will be button 2 on the
01:14Master System, is Jump.
01:16And B, or button 1, is your Fire Bubbles.
01:21And that's it.
01:28Music might be a wee bit too low, let's just knock a bit of volume off.

01:50Yes, and he's down
02:04Bit of a pain waiting at the end for it to skip to the next stage

02:22I think that was an extra life, I'm not sure

02:35You know, I'm convinced I've heard this music in something else before

02:47Oh I've picked up some sort of weapons, like machine gun bubbles

03:20Yeah I mean it's not a bad conversion at all
03:24It's quite quick, it's playable
03:27Bit of flicker you've just seen on the last stage
03:30But that was literally only because there was tons and tons of bubbles on screen at once

04:26Yeah I mean you can have two players on as well
04:31I'm afraid I've only got the one pad and me
04:34So we won't be able to have a look at that

05:19I don't know if this has got all the stages or if it's got an extra number
05:26There's a lot of complaints about the conversions and the fact that they're not actually complete

06:01At least you get a password
06:07I suppose if it is like some version of the 200 or so level that's probably quite handy

06:50Yeah I mean it's quite a simple game
06:53It's probably a bit boring to watch to be honest
06:55But it is quite addictive to play

07:25It does put me in a bit of a movie playing the sequel
07:32So yeah the sequel
07:33Which is Parasol Stars or Rainbow Island I believe
07:40I'm afraid it's not one I've got in my collection though
