00:02Hi there boys and girls and thanks for tuning in. My name is Oscar and I'll be your guide for
00:07today.
00:10As many of you have pointed out, the video released a few days ago only hints at some options but
00:16doesn't really show them.
00:17So let me narrate different possibilities.
00:20In this quest, you're playing an assassin who was sent to kill Marcus Carines, a commander of the Imperial Guards.
00:27Now, the Imperial Guards aren't your typical town guards but a military faction. Their goal is the restoration of the
00:34empire and they firmly believe that the end justify the means.
00:37They are planning to take over one of the towns and the assassination is a good way to prevent it.
00:42Death solves all problems, as they used to say. No man, no problem.
00:47The Assassin's Guild in the game isn't some shadow organization with obscure goals. It's an honest business, an affordable way
00:55to solve disputes.
00:55They can't kill anyone they want and they are well aware of the difference between killing a nobody who is
01:01in another nobody's way and killing a powerful man.
01:05However, through the machinations of the Merchant's Guild, which are explored in the Merchant's Guild questline, the Assassin's Guild has
01:13no choice but to accept the contract.
01:15So, your first choice is whether or not to kill the Imperial Guards commander.
01:21You can carry out the assassination or you can kill your partner and change sides if you feel that the
01:26Assassin's Guild will never get away with it, for example, or if you feel that the town needs new management
01:32and the Imperial Guards are the best outfit to get the job done right.
01:36If you do kill the commander, you have two options. Flee through the window or stay and pretend that you
01:43have nothing to do with it, which is a disguise option.
01:46The disguise check value depends on whether or not you have gathered more information about the merchant who actually rented
01:52this room at the Inn. Let's take a look.
01:56Well, that didn't go very well, did it? Let me put a few more points into disguise and try again.
02:04Much better. The Guards are gone, looking for the Assassin outside, which gives you a chance to snoop around. I
02:10bet Carinus, the Imperial Guards commander, has some nice stuff.
02:14Unfortunately, they left a guard in his room. You can just leave or you can try to take him out
02:19if you have a decent critical strike skill.
02:21Carrying a sword alone is worth the attempt. His armor may be too heavy for you, but if not, it
02:27would make a huge difference in the upcoming fights, especially the ones in the next quest.
02:33These men you fight with aren't just bots. Coltan, for example, is an alchemist. If he dies, he's gone, and
02:41all the in-game content associated with him is gone as well, so it's in your best interest to keep
02:47him alive.
02:49Now, let's go back and make a different choice. Let's kill Diaz, your partner who trusted you, and see what
02:56happens.
02:56You get two options, change sides or ask for money for saving Carinas' life and walk away.
03:04If you want to change sides, Carinas asks you to kill the Guildmaster, promising that his men will attack the
03:10moment the Guildmaster is down, and give you a relic of the olden days.
03:15It's a Neurostimulant. When consumed, it speeds us to reflexes for a very short time.
03:22With or without the Vial, you won't last long against four assassins. The guards won't attack until Neleos is dead,
03:29so taking him out is your priority.
03:32The Vial will greatly increase your chances to kill Neleos with one strike, but you'd have to drink it before
03:38you enter, and you have time for one or two strikes at most.
03:43Alternatively, you can rely on your own skills to take Neleos out fast, and drink the Vial once the fighting
03:49starts, to keep you alive until the cavalry shows up.
03:54Well, that's pretty much it. The Assassin's Guild and Imperial Guards quests don't have as many options as the Merchant's
04:00Guild or Thief's Guild quests, but hopefully it's enough to keep you entertained.
04:05Thanks for watching and listening. Hopefully you liked the game.
