00:09This was a real challenge for us for Real Racing 3.
00:12The challenge was obviously going out
00:14and licensing all the tracks
00:16and dealing with these partners we had to do
00:18but you also had to get a reasonably accurate
00:20representation of the track.
00:22It all begins by obtaining
00:24photo reference, showing
00:26every angle of the track.
00:27Footage of live race day events,
00:30engineering CAD data
00:31and specifications showing
00:33elevation of a straight.
00:34We get all this together and that's how we would start building
00:37a good representation.
00:39In the case of a new track that we've
00:41included that we're really excited about,
00:42it's actually a street track of Melbourne
00:45which is where we're based. It's actually just up the road
00:47from us. So we had to do this one
00:49from scratch. We didn't have
00:51elevation data because it's not an actual circuit.
00:53We actually figured out where would you
00:55block off a street race? What would be the most exciting track
00:57you could imagine making around Melbourne?
01:00And then we went out and we walked it
01:01and we thought, well what if you put
01:03some ripple strips in here
01:05and block that off with concrete? We were able to
01:07walk around and get anything we wanted.
01:09Another track in Real Racing 3 is
01:11Mount Panorama. We're really excited
01:13about putting this track in and it's one that the fans
01:15have been asking for.
01:16Mount Panorama is one of the best
01:19in the world, if not
01:20our belief that this is the best.
01:23The great thing about Mount Panorama
01:25is the height of this mountain.
01:27It twists and turns as you go up
01:28then you hit the peak and you just see
01:30across the landscape and then you're driving
01:33down through those turns. We're really
01:34excited to be bringing Mount Panorama
01:36into Real Racing 3 and we can't wait
01:38to show you more of the tracks coming soon.
