00:00Kevin Durant, he ends up passing Michael Jordan on the all-time list.
00:04Tell me your opinion of his career and what his – was it overachieving or underachieving for Kevin Durant?
00:11Oh, I think he was – I told you, I saw him playing in college with Jerry West and I.
00:17We knew he was going to be a great player.
00:18I'm just so disappointed that he left the Warriors.
00:20I still don't understand why.
00:21I never did get a definitive answer from anyone about it.
00:25Do you think about a dynasty?
00:26If he had stayed with the Golden State Warriors, how many more championships they would have won?
00:30My God.
00:31They were just ridiculous how good they were when he was there.
00:34I mean, he had three guys who could shoot the hell out of the three, who could shoot 90%
00:39from the free throw line.
00:40I mean, who do you guard?
00:41And then they played unselfish.
00:42I said when he went to the Warriors, he's going to become a better player because of the system they
00:46played, and he did.
00:46He became a facilitator, which he wasn't when he first played up in Seattle and then moved to Oklahoma City.
00:51And he became a better player playing for the Warriors.
00:54But it's been underachieving as far as success goes since he left the Warriors.
00:58It's never really worked out for him.
01:00You know, he's got a nice young team right now who could be dangerous.
01:03Maybe that'll happen for him.
01:04You know, since the Warriors are out of it, I'd always root for him.
01:06I always liked him.
01:07I thought he was an incredible player.
01:09So maybe this year they can pull it off, and they'll pull off the unexpected because nobody's picking him to
01:13win.
01:14But maybe this will be the year that he'll finally get what is most important because he has all the
01:18other accolades.
01:19He doesn't have a championship, which would be great.
01:21You know, you played against some of the greatest and played with some of the greatest players of all time.
01:26Is LeBron James the greatest longevity player in NBA history?
01:33No, I don't know about the greatest in longevity.
01:35I mean, who cares how long you played?
01:37The bottom line is he was a great player and an amazing player.
01:40Never as good as he should have been.
01:42I mean, as great as he was, he should have been better.
01:45I mean, there's things that LeBron didn't do and shortcomings he had in his game that nobody really talks about.
01:49His shot was horrible when he first came in.
01:52And he never – anyway, there's just a whole bunch of stuff about LeBron that he could be a lot
01:56better than he was.
01:57He's improved.
01:58I give him credit for that.
01:59He's lucky that he's stayed healthy for so long.
02:01And it's incredible that he's had the career that he's had for the length that he's had it.
02:05But I just heard yesterday somebody even said, oh, he may be the greatest.
02:08It was Dirk Nowitzki saying, oh, LeBron may be the greatest, you know, the GOAT.
02:11No, there is no such thing, as I told you many times, as a GOAT in team sports.
02:15It's the best at your position and during your era.
02:19Stop comparing the early eras.
02:20Don't compare Will Chamberlain to Giannis.
02:22That's ridiculous.
02:23I mean, compare the guys in the era that they played.
02:25Who was the best in their era and leave it at that.
02:28And then if you want to say, who do you think was the best overall, yeah, you might say something.
02:31But to not include Will Chamberlain, there isn't anybody that's ever going to do the things that Will Chamberlain did
02:36in the game of basketball.
02:37Why do you think they exclude him, Rick?
02:39I mean, 50 and 25 in 20 seconds.
02:42Why do you think they always exclude Will?
02:45Because most people didn't see him play.
02:47They didn't have all the technology.
02:48Hell, they don't even have video, great video of the 100-point game that he had.
02:52You know, now anything you do is on television worldwide.
02:55So it's just, that's the case.
02:57I mean, people don't get to see somebody and people are in the moment.
03:00This is who they think about.
03:02I mean, even Kendrick Perkins one time, I think, picked his top five players.
03:05I believe, if I'm right, then it was crazy to not have Will Chamberlain listed.
